Dear Sir, First of all, let me appreciate your training course and secondly, Would you please let me know if it is possible to control a valve in the Hysys model using Matlab?
I'm very glad you're finding the course useful - many thanks for the feedback! It's appreciated. Thank you. The honest answer is that I don't know about controlling unit ops in Hysys with Matlab. It is possible to write and compile VBA scripts for use in HySys (for example, custom reaction kinetics or custom unit ops), but I've never tried to do it with a dynamic simulation. Good luck!! I used to use MS Visual Basic Express (free of charge when I used it years ago) for writing, debugging & compiling the VBA scripts.
I'm so glad that you find this useful! And don't forget, with regard to wanting to finish, that you have to do what you think is right for you. Don't let anyone pressure you either way! University is good, but it's not the only thing that's good!
