For sale is a ONE OF A KIND 1980 Mercedes 450SEL with 36,XXX MILES. This is a ONE OWNER vehicle that was originally purchased at Jim Slemons Impost In Newport Beach, CA. It was taken to San Francisco where it resided ever since. The original owner was driving this vehicle up until his 90s. He passed away over five years ago leaving this Mercedes with his daughter who was very attached to it. She did not want it to sit for long so she decided to finally sell it. There are so many very special things about this vehicle. It is finished in an extremely rare factory green paired with palmetto leather interior. I challenge anyone to find another on the market in this color. To the best of our knowledge the paint is all original. Exterior is in excellent condition. Paint is deep and glossy. It has never sat a day outside, although it was in a very tight garage, so please watch the video very closely as there are a few minor dings on the doors. The interior of this vehicle is virtually flawless and in great condition as you could imagine. Everything is in proper working order except for the A/C does not blow cold. It has probably never been charged. Mechanically It runs and drives great. The ride is smooth and comfortable. The motor is very healthy, sounds great and has plenty of power. Transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. Clean CA title. Tool kit, spare tire and all the manuals are all available. There are no unusual drivetrain or suspension noises. All suspension and steering components are in proper working order. All related powertrain components are all in excellent working order.

This model of S class Benz was a masterpiece. Nothing like it to this day. The sound of the doors, the interior design is still the most attractive well thought out designs ever.The suspension the feel and ride is incredible.Incredible example of a 450 thank you for posting.

Not a fan of the color, but a beautiful car nonethe less. My parents had one in Silver with blue leather interior with rear headrests, it was a 1977. They drove it until 1991 when they bought the 560SEL.

Poor Mercedes, America made them put those horrendous bumpers on everything.
Those bumpers were a great idea.. THe Euro bumpers were always bent and dented.. You needed someplace to put your beer or drink at tailgate parties....
VanHofeldt: with North-Am energy absorbing bumpers looked slightly different than the euro version with small bumpers. Matter of taste. Anyway, both versions appeared great!
