    Thé claw is a french tool for sugar lumps. A " pince a sucre" for cofee or tea..

      These were also used and manufactured in Scandinavia in the early 1900's. The countries with the highest coffee consumption in the World, and a huge coffee culture.

      @@bgezal here in Britain sugar was eaten by the boat load plus we like tea, lots of tea and you better believe that started way earlier than early 20th century, same with France as both had big empires in sugar, tea, and coffee growing countries,

    The first gadget is for picking up sugar cubes for the coffee. My grandma still uses for that :)

    Best jar opening gadget? Rubber band! Wrap around lid, grip and twist! Easy. Can also wrap a second one around jar to improve grip even more. And the mixer? Awesome to make whipped cream or just a little bit of butter with!

    The mixer gadget works better if you have a habit of using a longer stroke, you're just used to a shorter stroke, but you'll get the hang of it... LOL, sorry, couldn't resist...

    What if the real reason tongs have a narrow opening now, is because of all the buffets around the world are ordering them small which caused the manufacturer to only produce small opening tongs and got rid of those "normal household use" ones in their line up?

    I think the first gadget is for sugar cubes, I remember playing with one somewhere as a kid but I’d use it for pickles because it’s been decades since I saw a sugar cube anywhere.

    I think most of what you showed is barware. I am pretty sure I saw that claw thing being used to put olives and onions into drinks, and I also think I have seen that little whisk being used to make alcoholic drinks like whisky sours frothy.
