When the developing team tweeted that they were only able to beat Beerus 1 time out of 10 attempts, I just assumed they were probably not very good. I dismissed that idea, as the difficulty of Kakarot tends to lessen as you progress through the each story arc, especially when matched to the level of the respective boss fight.
Not this time.
As soon as the God ability is available, max it out, especially the combo plus additions. They make Goku lightning fast and able to pour out 40-70 hit combos very quickly without interruption. Eat a full course meal to boost everything.
So here's the strategy. I like to separate this into two phases:
Non-surge phase:
Most of his attacks are the same as the event fight. You have to be quick to phase away if he uses Sphere of Destruction mid-combat. If you're surrounded by them, you can't escape. Each will do upwards to 700k damage per orb if you aren't guarded. If you're far enough, a God Kamehameha can eat through them while targeting Beerus.
Surge mode:
This is where you have to be as careful as you can and avoid damage. Beerus goes CRAZY. Once he uses Beerus Ball he'll follow it up with God of Destruction's Wrath. Fly away, and keep distance because it'll be used twice. At the end of the second one he'll tap out of surge, that's your chance to attack.

For some reason I can't get surge in this fight. My bars full elsewhere but when I start this fight it's half full and won't go up at all
Do you have all the SSG combo plus abilities? Goku's first 10-15 hits do a crazy number on the surge bar.
@@AvielNova I have everything. I'm thinking it's a glitch. In the main game it's full but when I fight beerus or whis it stays half full. Vegeta's fills like normal tho
Yeah must be a glitch, that doesn't seem right. Is it different if you restart the game?

I'm not using the PS4's video capture feature, this was from a separate capture device.
Press the share button before you fight, exit out and then fight Beerus. When you're finished, hit share again and save the video. That should save the clip. You can either upload it straight after or put it on a flash drive.
