It's sad to know that this show just doesn't get mentioned enough due to the whole "shounen ai" thing, which honestly doesn't bother me much at all because that aspect was never really forced.
In fact, ngl, the first time I watched it, it didn't hit me as a BL show at all until a few more episodes in.
Bruh, the thing is, It does, so much so that It's getting a bit annoying tbh. It's one of the most popular animes this season.

@@MAHDI-kw4pr I have yet to see that here. Everywhere that is filled with people from the US, you don't see Given. Given is only seen outside, and it has very little popularity here.
MAHDI I think it’s not really popular in France but I feel like it’s quite popular in an international level, I often see some post about Given and this show has really a bigger community than we think
I was in love with this manga. I'm so happy this became an anime! Most shonen ai manga never get the chance because of the stigma behind it and a lot of hatred from people who disagree with same-sex relationships. I never get my hopes up because of it so when I found out this was becoming an anime, I was ecstatic! I hope it gets enough of a fan base to get a second season.
I haven't read the manga, but after watching the anime I plan to buy it when SuBLime starts publishing volumes in English in February! I hope it gets a second season as well. I also wish more shounen-ai manga would get adapted, because other than Given, it feels like they only adapt the not good stuff (if that makes any sense).
I heard there might be a Movie in 2020?

IMO it was a good translation choice because "suki" is ambiguous and could refer to either romantic or platonic love. Obviously it was romantic in this case but it explains why Uenoyama wasn't 100% sure what Mafuyu meant.

I just think . that it's very important that after ep. 9 where they highlight how important firsts are, and how Yuki holds a lot of Mafuyu's, that Mafuyu gives one of his firsts to Uenoyama here like it's a beginning of a new story

That was a pretty smooth and straight forward confession. No this awkwardness and characters not saying anything for 7-8 episode so they can drag it out.

I was happy to see their love was mutual, but am I the only one who feels like it’s not equal? I mean I can’t blame Mafuyu for still having feelings for Yuki, that’s normal, he had recently killed himself so of course Mafuyu can’t forget him. But I don’t know if he loves Uenoyama as much as he loves him. Because he is Uenoyama’s first love, and Uenoyama has the unfortunate luck of falling for a guy who just lost his first love. Mafuyu might have feelings for him, but I don’t know if he’s really moved on. This can only end up hurting Uenoyama being second in his boyfriend’s heart and comparing himself to Yuki. I’m scared Uenoyama is gonna get his heart broken if Mafuyu happens to accidentally call him Yuki at the worst possible time. They may be boyfriends but it feels like Uenoyama is chasing after him. I don’t know maybe it’s just me.
