Warden are iron golems that Were rejected from Villages And forced underground and ate Skulk Growth to survive
and became Bitter Against humans and Villagers which is why they attack
The skulk brain controls the skull mind and created the warden to go out to do its bidding destroying world turning them to skulk, but the brain was cut off from exiting their world, therefore, being stuck in the deep dark dimension until the portal was open by the ancient builders, releasing the word into once again Consume the overworld, but the portal close behind, even though the warden destroyed the entire city with the warden no longer being connected to the skulk brain it was far weaker than it would normally be, and not able to be somewhat defeated by the player, although never killed the warden only Goes into the ground to come right back up and kill you. It still partially submitted to the players power once it goes back in the ground.

In my opinion, Alanbecker's lore or backstory of Wardens is better. He didn't said its a lore but its like, the wardens once was good and there were villagers living in the city of the underground. The Wardens loved to hear the song the villagers does or make. But sadly, their kingdom died and only Wardens are left. The Wardens are sad-mad and when they hear the songs, they will be happy. Its sad and interesting at the same time. Also, yours are good too
i think the sculk came with the geode that are fallen from the sky. because the geode’s other half is missing. The sculk has its own mind and evolved into many different species including the warden. That’s my theory you can tell your theory if you want.

Some suggestion that these beings is from another timeline, this timeline, a form of plant-fungi being called Plungi, one Plungi species feed in soul energy and that is sculk,When the sculk spread all overworld, this timeline became as we know as the sculk dimension, the sculk dimension timeline is different from the end timeline. Because the sculk stop the progress of technological advancements because it infected many sapient bieng, does, preventing some sapient bieng to invent the void antimatter bombs that can form the end. These timeline is an another future of the overworld, the sky in this place is blue due to the sculk spores, means the sunlight it received is enough to photosynthesed plants,not to help being to use light as visions, because the sculk is complex, it give the infected bieng some sensors like organs as new form of visions and hearing, like an echolocation works, one of them is the warden, the descendants of the iron golems, these sculk use the dead iron golems nervous system because it has an cyber connection abilities, means, it is good enough to produce hive minds, the warden is the only sentience beings in the sculk dimension because the intelligence being like Villagers and illagers don't evolve and maybe went extinct.The first beings that descovered the another timeline is the endersent because they get some sculk sample in the unknown dimensions or maybe the ancient builder descovered it, to make an portal to scape something, they mutated the know ancestor of the sculk, the warped fungi in the nether, and they mix the ancient sculk with deepslate to form the reinforce deepslate and make an portal to flee from the endersents, but they made they're demise.
