Thank you, Yetty. Currently in B Co (recycled from A Co.). Land Navigation has changed since then, It is currently 5/7 (4 hours) for pretest, test, and retest with new map zones opened (most recycle rate). Additionally, there is a new essay added to the curriculum called battle analysis (second class to take it). History is not multiple choice anymore. Bravo Cadres really help you as much as possible though. Remember, It's an Officer Candidate School and not an Officer Commissioning School.

Isn’t Land Nav also now two iterations (one day iteration and one night iteration) rather than just one single iteration like before? At least that’s what I had heard from others

I'm currently attending OCS in Alpha Company 001-24. History is multiple choice and I did not have a history writing portion. I just got finished with land navigation and I passed the history exam the first time.
For land navigation, you are given one pre-test and two official tests, and you must find 4/7 points to pass. Pass the pre-test and you don't have to take the official test. I passed the pre-test for day finding 5/7 points, but I failed the pre-test for night. Thankfully I passed the first official test finding 4/7 points.

I commissoned thru OCS class 27-69, graduating in August, 1969 after 26.week course at Ft. bBenning, GA. I released from active duty as a Captain in March, 1972. I was initially a draftee but figured I might as well make the best of it. Glad I did.

Hey congratulations on commissioning. I commissioned in the spring of 2020. Even though I’m a reservist, I competed with the best of them. It does matter if you do well as a reservist. Several reservist recycled while I attended OCS. Congrats again on commissioning. Job well done!

Congrats and thank you for the great video! You said if a package is submitted for a guaranteed branch. When/how/who do you submit the package to? Before going to OCS? My branch guarantees a spot for anybody from enlisted to officer. Should I still get a memo and create the package?

    • @fityetty

If you spot is already guarantee you don’t need to submit a package. But normally you will submit through your cadre.

I am enlisting as a SPC (30 y.o. and a green card holder) in the Army Active for 3 years. Do you know if I would be able to get in the Officer Candidate School during my 1st enlistment? Or is it only REenlistment/REclass process I should expect?
