Lmao I made the exact same thing back in the 80s. Now it's impressive. I used it to reasmble doors after painting them. It's not new... and patents don't mean shit china will duplicate it and sell for 1/2 price.
I need this so badly im doing my sons new bedroom door alone and trying to figure out how to cut out spots for the hinges 🙄 this is so cool. I even had to sand down the top and bottom so much my arms hurt to make it fit correctly. I dont own a saw thankfully i wouldve probably cut too much ANYWAYS but this way i had to keep carrying it thru the house to fit it over and over😂
@@DERP0L0GY NO shims?, show me a framer that'll frame an RO so plumb and to the size of the door plus 1.25" for 5/8" x2 jamb where shims aren't required.
Oh yeah? And how about the 1/4 inch sag at the door top ( side opposite the hinges). If it came with a hinge-knuckle-bender...that would save a few hours.
Cheer~~~a hinged, sliding, or revolving barrier at the entrance to a building, room, or vehicle, or in the framework of a cupboard.(but this is good idea)😊
Sorry but how you supposed to attach the lining to open if the jams and door is still attached. I’ve always just pinned 3 horizontal scraps (opposite side of the hinges) to hold the lining square and true to the face of finish level to make architraves easier (door removed) shimmed and fixed behind the jam line level to hinges to bear the weight and then when I put door back on I use exact same clamps I made from cheap mastic guns. When ya get ya groove on takes 10/15min per door max and home made clamps cost me £5. Don’t forget the penny spacer for decorators
I noticed even the door frame is off the ground maybe .5 inch. Some openings barely have a rough opening and it wouldn’t fit on this stand. Also maybe doors are installed in carpet rooms. Picture this, doors being installed in back bedroom, you put it on the stand and start rolling towards the house, uh oh have to go up the steps to the front door, so you carry the door all the way in thru the house to the opening, then what? You’ve already carried it that far just set it by hand. This would only be handy on new construction interior doors, couldn’t be used on pre hung entry doors with thresholds, so no exterior doors unless it’s a slab only
I used it to replace 8’ hinges on exterior doors at a gas station. Doors easily weighed 300lbs. Door stud held the door, easily maneuvered on the sidewalk out front. Since I set the rollers on the door before I took the hinges off, it was already at the correct height and I was able to just roll it back and reconnect the new hinge. Replaced two full surface hinges on steel frame glass 8’ commercial store front doors in less than 30mins by myself.

Bless you for your intelligence
Thank you for your service, I won’t even ask about your forklift expertise

Nuce
okay where’s yours
That's good but how would you open the door to attach it to the frame
that is a problem, but not the sellers problem.
The door must open with those still attached
This guy would put the screws in the front of the frame not behind the door
Lol

So how does this work when the door jamb need to sit tight against the finished flooring?
You can lower the door and jamb with those knobs
In a perfect world. The framing is never perfect. But its a good tool. 👍
Exactly, I have these and you need the ROs to be exact and level for it to work with the clips they promote
I had an uneven floor
What is that tol called and how much does it cost??GOD BLESS
So when you open the door to screw it to the frame work how does it hold it level? That's my question.
How are you supposed to shim the jamb with the wheels on and door closed?
Use an EZ hang system. No shims needed

Might be nice for a solid core door but a hollow core and a production trim carpenter wouldnt need it
Kinda like it. Looks like it would save my back

I just use the floor leveling jacks For cabinets but I use them for the door but you can put 2 of them and then level on it

Oh great now I want those wheels in fact I actually need those
That is impressive. My husband could change our front door now. If you knew my husband you would understand....
Or you could change it yourself now there is no real lifting involved
I know him, I see him in the bar writing out excuses on a napkin.
You're song and independent right.... You could do it. LoL😅 Jkjkjkjljk
Hey what's these rollers called
Or you can hire me
Nice!
What do you call this door lift!
Does it have self leveler, or able to level it up/down on either end

Great idea but one hell of a gap below the door because of the plates
Chill down and look closer.. The design is to be able to lowered down
That is adjustable to the level you want
