- Former prime minister Muhyiddin Yassin has criticised Putrajaya's diesel rationalisation strategy after price hikes were detected across several business sectors.
The Perikatan Nasional chairperson hit out at Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim for saying that the government subsidy rationalisation plan would only affect the ultra-rich.
It is idiotic to say there won't be any price rise. Soon, the price rise could be seen all over.
Govt admit the huge scale of smuggling activities affecting billions of diesel, but no serious actions taken except penalize the rakyat by call off fuel subsidy. This is unacceptable.
Really dumb coz the main issue is lack of enforcement to curb smuggling.
Tak. Dengar RR ckp, smugling & illegal bussiness by nelayan kita is a small one. The big smuggle came from Malaysian ourself that do bussiness but got subsidy. So they withdraw subsidy & effect all. How sad.

Enforcements are there (in every sector) unfortunately all are corrupted. Minister like YB.Loke should be given the portfolio of KDN, but you guys are don't agree.

Bila harga bahan api naik harga maka segala kos penghantaran keperluan akan naik juga dan secara langsung akan menaikkan harga barang keperluan.......barang keperluan diguna pakai setiap golongan sama ada yang kaya atau yang miskin. Otak tu sila guna betul² la woiii.

Those earning $8,500 a month are not entitled for subsidies cos per annum is more then 100,000k. I wonder earning $8,500 is considered super rich?..

senang buat satu sistem yang berstatus warganegara dapat beli minyak pada harga subsidi, kan semua data dah ada dari LHDN, PADU semua tu....jadniya subsidi minyak kena sasarkan khas bagi yang untuk mempunyai syarikat sah & berstatus warganegara sahaja, sebabkan biasa kes penyeludupan ni harga berlaku pada sesetengah inidividu .

ultra rich don't use diesel cars, they use Ferrari, BMW, limogeni which use petrol instead of diesel, I don't know if luxury cars use diesel ... but its will increase the price of consumer goods which makes it difficult for the lower class people groups ,,,

Fuel price hike is inevitable.. but it could have been done more orderly.. and give the market and people to adjust.. a straight >RM1.00/L rise in the diesel price was literally shocking..

Since no sudsidy for diesel, soon for petrol, Malaysia should decrease the tax on vehicle! All these sudsidy paid by taxes on vehicle which bring the price of Malaysia vehicle to no. 2 most expensive in the world! The government didn't paid for the sudsidy, the people paid by buying car! Average tax paid per car is Rm50000, how many years you can pump petrol by Rm50000. Now no sudsidy, then car price should decrease, make it fair!!

The savings should be disbursed to the B40 group every month so they would be able to absorb the rise in the cost of living

And the fish monger and vegetable sellers are all justifying the price increase to the increase in the price of diesel

Yes, you got married to fine people. Then you're gonna have kids. Your kids isn't gonna be static, but moving around and socializing, and meet people of whatever class, or they gonna turn up into whatever class later.
T20 M40 not trying to uplifting B40, is detrimental to their own self as you are exposing your future generation to more problem, as poverty causes more problem than living fine

How to identify smugglers? If you are the smugglers will you came out to surrender? If you not the smugglers, but you benefits from their activities, will you surrender or report the smugglers? If you not smugglers or the beneficiary, but you scared of their retaliation if you report them, will you still go report them? And who will be the one who against the blanket cover to remove subsidy most? Yes, the smugglers and those beneficiary, they got the volume!

When mohiden was PM, he said the govt was adamant to implement the targeted fuel subsidies as the govt can no longer handle the huge amount spent on blanket fuel subsidies. If targeted fuel subsidies were implemented, the govt could save rm20 bil...but mohiden has no balls to walk the talk....instead of doing the right thing by going for targeted fuel subsidies, mohiden was busy siphoning rm232.5 million of the janawiba into his party account...
