You are spot on, released in 2003/4. Even better when she performs it live. One thing about Kylie, she always sounds the same, on stage or via video recording or album. Unique voice! ❤❤❤❤

You nailed it. It was released in 2003 from Kylies Body Language album. Her 9th right after the mega album that was Fever. BL was meant to be the album that broke Kylie in America, but it ended up not working, but the album is still a masterpiece of an album. Think peteshop boys, kraft Work meets Prince and Bridget Bardot.

@@ValenciaGamble In my opinion there were a lot of factors. Bad choice made all around. First Kylie didn't do proper promotion in America. In my opinion she should have taken a short rest after the Fever tour and brought that tour to America in small venues. Since she didn't do that it gave popularity after Fever to fizzle out a bit. I was a sophomore in high school at the time so forgive me if the memory is a bit fuzzy. BL was released worldwide in I believe November of 2003, it would be released in February 2004 here in the states. I know 3 months doesn't seem like a lot of time but back then we had importanting. It cost more at record shops but it was worth it. When the album finally came out here in the states us diehard fans already had it. That hurt sales a lot. I went out and got the American verdion for support but everyone else im sure wasn't going to do that. Second once again Kylie barely promoted it here. I remember she was here for 3 days only. She went to the grammys and won but she did 3 talk shows, The Debra Norton show, The Ryan Secrest show before it was canceled and the Jimmy Kimmel show. She also did a small guest shot on the original Queer Eye For The Stright Guy tv show on bravo then she was out back the UK after only spending 3 days in the US. Not to mention what didn't help was the Janet Jackson Justin Timberlake superbowl scandle happen only 2 days before the release and that whole thing is all anyone could talk about for months. When the album went only number 91 in the first week Kylie and her American label Capitol Records gave up on it all together. There was rumor years later that Britney Spears label were sabotaging other female acts to make sure her 4th album would be a huge sale but who knows. When Kylie gave up on the album she also gave up on a tour which she had set and ready to go. She tested the concert first in the UK first calling it the money can't buy show. I remember they played the concert every 3 hours on Direct TV channel. She cut the ideas for that show which was suppose to be called Body Language live and did the Showgirl tour instead. I recommend you watch both concerts they are amazing. Her whole look was a tribute look to French actress and Model Bridget Bardot. Everything end up being for the best because in the middle of the showgirl tour in 2004 we would learn she had breast cancer so if things worked out she couldn't fulfill her obligations because of that. Thank God she's still with us alive and well. Anyway bad choices and wrong moves is what did it but it's considered a underground fan favorite album now.

@@ValenciaGamble The whole era was badly handled in USA. She released Slow as 1st single as well In USA but worldwide she is already starting to promote Red Blooded Woman. Slow was struggling to get more airplay in USA. And by the time the album released in USA, she decided to perform Red Blooded Woman instead of Slow. I think the album probably gonna do better if they decided to release Red Blooded Woman instead of Slow in the first place. Red Blooded Woman was never properly released in USA

This could’ve been a hit for her in America but her label messed her up. This was the sound that was popular in 2003.

Personally I think the music video is not even as nearly iconic as the performance of this song on Money Can't Buy concert ( one-off Body Language promotional concert that audience given free ticket/ invitation instead of tickets were made available for purchase ) , it would be cool if you care to react to it / or part of the show. :)

You 100% nailed the original release timing. It's so refreshing to watch reactions from someone smart and perceptive. Some of these UA-cam "reactors," I swear, I don't know how they even dress themselves. But, you've always got great observations -- even if you're completely unfamiliar with the artist or the genre. I enjoyed your reaction even though this is my least favorite Kylie single. It was her record company's attempt at (yet again) trying to 'break America' after the unexpected global success of the Fever album, but although Kylie gives it the ol college try, the Timbaland'lite production, the kind of awkward chorus and the overall style just don't suit her. I think Chocolate is a better example of her doing something RnB influenced, but keeping it "Kylie".

Definitely not from the beginning of her career...she started in the 80's and she is now close to 60 years old.
