I was always confused as to why so many people thought Adnon was innocent. The podcast front loaded the fact that he was charismatic, handsome, young, intelligent, funny, charming. They interviewed many people claiming he was innocent. They went on and on for hours about things that would form a positive opinion without discussing the actual evidence. The woman from the podcast seemed completely smitten with him.
I remember listening for hours thinking they’d convicted an innocent man then they FINALLY got to the evidence. It was overwhelming and proved he was guilty.
It was pretty shty to bury the stone cold evidence of his guilt behind hours of bs that didn’t really matter. By the end of the series I remember thinking this dudes obviously guilty, why are they even making this thing? Why did they have me listen for hours to finally get to the truth of the matter?
That Serial podcast did Hae’s family a huge disservice by the way they framed this case.

He did It. It's a shame people still defend this convicted murderer.

28:34 - Was Jay really only involved after the murder? According to his testimony, Adnan allegedly told him of his plan to murder Hae the day before and he knowingly assisted Adnan's murder plan by taking the Adnan's car the next day so Adnan (allegedly) had a reason to ask Hae for a ride and get into her car in order to commit the murder. That sounds an awful lot like assessory before the fact ("a person who aids, abets, or encourages another to commit a crime").

I have to say, I am 50/50, at this point of listening to facts and timeliness, in 2023.
I have listened to Serial at least 3 times in entirety over the years, and i thought it was reasonable enough doubt because Jay seemed to have had more to do with it, and trying to keep his hands clean.
And I listened to True Crime Weekly covering it also, and I'm still on the same stance.
If nothing else, Adnan deserves a new trial, and Jay has MUCH more to he should talk about.

Super disappointed. I do not care for Bret and Alice AT ALL.
I've seen them as be super rude to their listeners if someone puts down a comment that they don't approve of. Brett starts with the bashing and then Alice jumps in. I was surprised the first time but then I saw several more times after that and they're, in my opinion, bullies who can think no other way because they have minds of prosecutors. So I'll catch you guys on the next one
