Gorgeous card!!!! Question : how do you decide which card stock - 80 or 130 to use for your cards?Thank you so much for taking the time to make this awesome tutorial.
You are so welcome! If I have thicker cardstock- I will always use thicker. I'm not a fan of 80lb cardstock. It is too thin for me. I often double up my die cuts cut from thin paper. For example, if I'm stamping, coloring and cutting an image out I will reach for my SSS 130lb or 120lb cardstock. I used Neenah 80lb here as I'm out of my SSS paper and need to re-order.
@@Yana.Smakula Thank you for your reply. I had some 120lb and gave it a try as a panel and what a HUGE difference that made not only when I stamped but that the card stood upright better. I ordered some 130lb cardstock. I love your teaching style!

My gosh, those cards are beautiful. Your work is impeccable!!! I have a question for you or anybody else that can give me an answer ☺️
I have been making cards for a while. An area that I really struggle with is heat embossing. I have so much warping when I emboss. I heat the gun first, I move quickly, I heat both sides if need be (usually needs be- lol) nothing seems to make a difference with regard to warping. Does the heat gun itself make a difference? I have a kind of a cheap heating gun that I think I probably found years ago in Michael’s? If I buy a nicer heat gun, does it really make that much of a difference? Thanks!!
I think the paper makes a difference too. Try using thicker cardstock first. I find I have far less warping when I use 110lb or even 130lb cardstock. A quality heat tool could also help, when I was in the USA I had one from Hero Arts and I loved it, it took very little time to get very hot and it embossed beautifully.
Bottom line, you'll still get a little bit of warping when you do heat embossing no matter what supplies/technique you use
