  • Hey gentle people! You have helped me at several occasions figuring out what those mystery objects were, and we have grown together to become more knowledgeable. Today, I have another 3 mysterious objects I would like to submit to your expertise: do you know what it is?
Seen from that angle, my first mystery object looks an X. While one end is flat, its other end is cut as a point, making it look like an X-shaped nail. It is made of a non-magnetic metal, probably aluminum and can be found in different sizes. In my little lizard brain, having an X-shape and a point seems to indicate this object could be used as a fastener to lock pieces into place, but it is really the case? Do you know what it is?
The second object is made of metal and is a few inches long. There is one eye on one end and the metal is split on the other side. I have seen this split leg design in the past and can remember it is used to embed metal in masonry work. But what is the purpose of the eye? Does is have a specific purpose, or is this a generic masonry connector? Or is it something else altogether? Do you know what it is?
My third object is made of 2 items. There is first a small metal screw, with its thread changing at its tip into something that looks like a metal cutting part. Its little friend is a square piece of metal with 2 holes in it. The screw per default does not fit in the hole. It obviously looks to me like a fastener of some sort, but I have never seen it before? Do you know what it is used for? Do you know what it is?
If you have any ideas about any of the objects shown in the video, leave it in the comments. My brain already thanks you.

The first one looks like something you use to hold a rope in the ground when setting up a tent

The last one I've seen holding 2 pieces of sheet metal together in washer and dryers.

The last object is for attaching the trim on automobiles, and I suspect that the first is for wall tiling

And avoiding getting someone pregnant while driving I would argue... in any cases, identified the actual part name thanks to your help, those (nr. 3) are called "U nuts", "Spire clips" or "Speed fasteners". Isn't the world an amazing place?
