Game 1 you couldn’t stalemate him because you left 2 pawns alive giving him moves if the king is trapped
With this video existing, maybe hexagonal checkers can also exist since diagonals are defined.
Are you planning on expanding the checkers vs chess? Like adding the cards from deckmate to give special abilities and stuff?
Maybe at some point! However, I don't think I will be adding cards to the non-square variants (at least not for quite a while) since it would be a coding nightmare lol

If the board is expanded a little, you could have 3 player chess on a hexagonal board, each player starting in 1 of the 6 corners with 1 corner between them. For instance, the third player could be brown or grey to fit the colour theming. Play would go white, then grey, then black. winning would be interesting as both the opponents kings would have to be ckeckmated, or perhaps the rules can be tweaked to allow the capture of one king, then checkmating the other (the latter wold be preffered because setups would be possible to put the king of the player 2 moves away into check by the next player to have it be captured). Then it would be up to the next players to win against eachother, while the eliminated player's objective could either be to have the game ended as soon as possible, or to checkmate one of the other players' kings themself to get second.
You can play it without making the board bigger, too. Gotta set up the pieces a bit different to prevent the king from starting the game in check or allowing bishops to capture each other on move one, but it works and it's a lot of fun.

I'm not sure, but definitely more than a bishop
