Karen those look so delicious, great idea on softening them and cutting them in half. We are definitely going to try them! Great timing for Pop to come in😂. You had our mouth watering 😋! Thanks so much for sharing! We enjoy your videos!
Love this excellent recipe. Would you like my Authentic Greek Stuffed Pepper Recipe I inherited 50 years ago from my wonderful Greek mother-in -law ? I always fix 4 trays of 4 to 8. One to bake the day I make them. And 3 to freeze for up to 6 months! Yia-Yia Pefanis, I learned SO much from you!!!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Stuffed Bell Peppers -- gotta be one of my all time favorites! Our family had them for dinner once every week, usually Wednesdays after church. They are a great make ahead meals to warm up later. Also, one Stuffed Pepper is a great Lunchbox Dinner choice. Yours look Delicious... all that cheesy goodness,👍.
They sure look good but I don't like cheese on my stuffed peppers But to each his own Is an old school saying and at 68 I'm old school😅😅😅😅. Love you much Karen you and pops you are super and set an example to all couples your both so respectful I wish my partner would help more he squaks when he has to help😢
I agree with you it works to make the peppers when they are cut in half and you can stuff them much more easily. But…but when my mom made them with the tops cut off and then at the end added the tops like little hats…they were so cute and very delicious…thanks for your recipe…..I will give that a try.
Oh stuffed peppers were a staple in my house growing up. It was a nice way to use the peppers my dad grew from his garden. I think your way would be a lot easier to cook and stuff. My mom stuffed them standing up. Also, my mom used to make her stuffed peppers using green peppers, didn’t have red peppers until I was a teenager! lol! I would definitely put Parmesan cheese on top,as well as the colby Jack cheese! You can never have too much cheese!
I always cut mine in half. I do like a little crispness to my peppers. This is what I’m fixing this weekend. Thank you and I appreciate you & all of your family that makes your channel so special. Patchy too! Love you!❤ I love spinach, strawberries, and sweet onions topped with poppy seed dressing .
Why have I never thought of cutting the green peppers down the middle?! I got away from doing stuffed peppers because I got tired of fighting with them to stand up tall and proud, lol! I am going to make this with a Mexican flavor twist & maybe even add in a little black beans. Thank you so much, you are my new addiction.
Love this recipe, I precook my peppers also. They make a non-stick aluminum foil Karen, you should try it. I use it all the time. Thanks for sharing your recipes. 🙂♥️
Thank you sweet Freda for the card. Pop got it and he loves it. As you know we were on vacation and just had the chance to get to the post office. You are so sweet and thoughtful. ❤️❤️
Your peppers looked really good. My mother made the best stuffed peppers. She used country ham and corn in hers along with the tomatoes and onions, then she sliced cheddar cheese on top. She’s been gone 31 years but I can still see her cooking in her kitchen.
I like the idea of cutting them in half. When you parboil them, do you cook them with the cut side up or down? I usually leave mine whole and they are difficult to keep upright in the boiling water.
Do the different color of peppers have a similar taste? I know i made something similar to this but using the green peppers. I will say I wouldn't use the green color only because of the taste. I will try it with the other colors. Presentation is amazing. Wish computers had smell-o-vision. Great job!! 😋
Another delicious looking meal. Thank you. Karen, do you think I could use lentils or beans as a substitute for rice? Per doctor’s orders I’m trying to manage carb intake.
Away from stuffed peppers which are beautiful, I wondered if you could help me improve on a sauce that I make that goes great over chicken. I melt honey with a teaspoon of French Dijon Mustard in a small pan. I then add heavy//double cream. To that I add chopped softened mushrooms and simmer it down to a lovely sauce. As tasty as it is like that, I feel that it's lacking something to make it even better. Any ideas ?? I love your video's and keep up the good work in producing them xxx
I'm thinking some kind of spice. Try adding maybe a splash of vinegar, some pepper, black pepper and/or cayenne, garlic, parsley. Experiment with your tastes.
What are people going to do for meat, it is so expensive!! Beefroast I looked at yesterday was $48+. No I did not buy any beef yall!!! Why is this, anybody? Of all times my doctor has said you need to eat more protein and veggies, no processed food, no caffeine and no sugar. So, no cheese, hot dogs, bologna, no pies, cakes, chocolate, whats left? What do yall suggest for protein that I can eat?? Pre diabetic she says. Karen, looks fantastic! I love watching you cook. ❤❤❤
I have never liked peppers of any kind but I do make stuffed peppers and I love the stuffing I just don't eat the peppers but it sure flavors that stuffing.. This looks so good I will be trying this your way.. Thanks for sharing.. I did try to go check out the cook book but it keeps coming up with this There has been a critical error on this website not sure if it is on my end or what this even means..

I was just about to make these tonite!! I put a can of tomatoe sauce in with my meat and rice mixture and wochestire sauce. Delicious!!!😊

I've cut my peppers in half for several years now. I like them that way!!

Love stuffed peppers going to cook them the way you did Karen❤ and thanks for the tin foil and spray great idea❤❤❤❤
Mmmmm.....this looks delicious!

My mother always parboiled the peppers first. A real favorite of mine! My husband doesn’t like the pepper part, he just eats the stuffing.
Yummy❤❤
Thank you sweet Freda for the card. Pop got it and he loves it. As you know we were on vacation and just had the chance to get to the post office. You are so sweet and thoughtful. ❤️❤️
These Peppers look so Delicious!😋♥️🫑

The friendliest thing I've seen

The colored peppers are sweeter. I like them better than just the green peppers 😋

Sure, whatever your favorite side is. ❤️

I’m gonna try this with the cabbage we don’t really care for peppers. How do we order your cookbook?
There is a link in the description box. Follow that to my printer and they'll get it right out for you. Thank you for your interest. ❤️
Karen your Blouse is Beautiful and so are you welcome home
Patricia
I've never seen anyone cook the meat first
We don't cook the meat first . So good 😊❤😊
Karen, i just got the electric skillet like you have, im surprised to see you use a metal spatula, i havent even read the pamphlet yet, is that okay? Wont hurt the pan?
I'm very gentle if I use metal. The spatula is wood. I usually use plastic or rubber spatulas.
How much including taxes is your cookbook?
Book is $23.99. Tax depends on where you are located as well as shipping. My printer does all that. They are having issues with their site at the moment but should be back up soon if you're interested.
That is almost too pretty to eat but I sure would!! Yummy
I like them but I eat the insides and not the pepper. Not into soggy peppers.
The peppers ate not soggy. You could skip the step of steaming them like I did and just stuff and bake. They'll be even more firm.
do you think my wife will like this?
