- This is a video of etude 2 from Dotzauer 113 exercises for cello book 1. J.J.F. Dotzauer 113 exercises (etudes) for cello is one of the most popular methods for cello students. It covers all aspects of cello technique such as developing right hand skills to play legato, staccato, spiccato and detache. Working on these etudes with private cello teacher or with these video tutorials will help you to improve the left hand intonation accuracy, get confidence in making shifts and learning to play double stops.

Hello. May I ask if you really keep the finger down as instructed in the piece? Or is it ok to raise the fingers?
There might be many opinions about it. Usually we try to keep as many fingers on the string as possible to make it easier to keep a good contact with a fingerboard. For example, when you use 4th finger, you supposed to keep all other fingers on. Later on we learn to make exceptions from this rule. For example, it will happen when you will be using vibrato. Most of the rules in arts are subject to exceptions...It is always good to have an experienced cellist to guide you.🎻
Hello, nice jobs. Bro It is possible that you please record, the sarabande of suite 1 of bach in slow motion?
Thank you. Well, sarabande is already a very slow dance. This is the reason I did not record it in a slow tempo. I will try to do it sometimes in the future. Stay safe!
On a mobile device, the 3 dots in upper right will have an option to change playback speed
What piece do you see as a presentation of your videos? Thank you
This would probably be one of these videos: ua-cam.com/video/QJ1qlHqAaBg/v-deo.html
