What is your current favorite stone to hone on?

Nice video Sean. From a practical standpoint, I use synthetics the most because they are consistent from use-to-use, and they are the fastest cutting stones I have. For feel, the natural stones are great. Each one has its own personality. I have only used it a couple of times, but I was surprised by how much I liked the Black Shadow.

@@greggallant5058 I’m 100% with everything you said my friend! Synthetics are consistent, naturals give a different feel, I like both and find myself using them together in a honing sección. When it comes to the black shadow I really enjoy the edge that it leaves on the razor but not so much the honing on it but it’s slowly growing on me, I have some stones that I didn’t enjoy before and now I love and vice versa… anyways I could talk on and on without stopping so I’ll let you go my friend, cheers!

Nice shave. You can see you hitting base hits with those edges. The shave looks effortless. And I am digging those tunes.

Man, a German razor on a fresh hone; that kind of cross the maginot line . 😂

Thank you my friend! Trying to have the spine of the razor a little closer to the face, I have two bad habits… I’m heavy handed and secondly my angle is too high! Got the ingredients for the gumbo! On my way home hehe you inspire me to learn new things my friend.

A hard test shave, especially when using multiple razors the post shave feeling will be impossible to judge which did which 😊beautifully made video , when i rush i misjudge and usually get a tiny cut .

Thank you Martin! Thankfully I didn’t have a bad post shave at all so maybe all 3 are good razors? Probably won’t mess with them until they need a refresh. Cheers

Hi Sean. The black shadow is boring but good results. I almost always nick myself when I try to rush the shave. I haven't tried palm stropping, I don't even know why I haven't 🙂 I have a palm so 😃 anyways have a good Friday

Thank you my friend for stopping by! I like palm stropping a lot, for the ATG pass I’ve heard it’s good to strop before doing, in this case I liked it. I’m 100% with you, it gave the best results but maybe I just need to keep honing on the stone and it will grow on me. Cheers my friend ✌🏻
