Case 830 Cold Start/Feeder Wagon Repair/Bedding Dairy Cattle

- Even though the calendar says Spring, the Winter weather doesn't want to let go just yet. That's making for a lot of mud! Alan gets the Case 830 started to pull the flat tired feeder wagon out of the mud and get a new tire on it. After the repair, Alan, and Paul fill it up with fresh silage and haul it out. After that, Alan uses the Gehl 4625 Skid Steer to haul some straw for the calves' pens. We milk and feed the Dairy Cows, have a little fun playing Soccer and enjoy the day that ended up being very Spring-like after all.

Great video..... this is why Your channel is my favorite... It reminds me of the wholesomeness real dairying is all about... family, tradition and humility... a family doing what comes naturally to them... the way of life I'm am seeking... It's hard to find a dairy that will accept a small herd... that is what I am dealing with... lack of a dairy market... hopefully I will find one... and get on with one... this video showed so many aspects of Dairying in the midwest from agronomy, repairs, nutrition, sanitation, all the pleasant attributes of farm life I used to enjoy
That 830 motor runs like a new one. Case Power!
Paul is at the 3 wheeler rider level - EXPERT
Good ol case tractors, a little cold blooded but you just can't beat them👍👍
You make me homesick for the home farm I was raised on!! Great memories!!! Thank you!!
I loved the Case-0-Matac Drive. Wonderful with a loader on them
I was going to say at the Q&A videos, hearing the geese in the background is a sweet Spring sound, and this one, hearing Sandhill Cranes, they're so pre-historic sounding. I've seen Sandhill Cranes in the urban area of Osseo. We still have some crop fields here, can you believe that?! Development is moving in fast though.
Alan, you have great confidence in your Case tractors starting up.
There`s no more precious sound than "Dad"!
Old 830 case always starts and is great loader tractor love old case
Old wagon Jack was arm breaker my uncle broke his arm
Yeah, I got hit on the jaw, with the handle once, definitely have to be careful!
Great job Alan
Reminds me so much of the stuff me and my brother do every day on our dairy
Cute calves
I really like that Case. I hope that water is soaking in nicely like here.
Love the ear tags, thanks for letting us tag alone….
Lots of Geese. Love those 30 series Case tractors. I have 5 of them, lol
Hi Alan, tie some bale string to that hitch pin so you don't have to get out of the cab to unhook your wagons.
Always hated plastic twine, I was the one to cut them from the beaters on the spreader. Lol
Seen the conveyor repair video, I'm not a welder either Allen, just tell um your the best grinder operator they ever seen! Mike from Washington state, love the kids . Pretty 😍 awsome !!!! I
Love the beard Alan!! I still have my winter blanket on too 😄 God bless you and your famliy always like watching your videos
Love the bucket over the air breather on the old case
Great to see all the cows and the calves and heifers
Those 30 series Case tractors are pretty much bulletproof!
Welcome to Spring in the Midwest. If you don't like the weather, wait 10 minutes. At least it looks like you have good soil moisture to start the season. Good old faithful Case. I don't see too many with the cab still on them in decent shape. Very nice. Stay safe and God bless.
North Eastern MN !!! Got to love that it's like North Central Wisconsin!! Got to love that!! All that mud!!! Love my 630 Case wish the wheels were a little bigger but it does do the job. Hoping to see your 530 again sometime when you get a chance to fix it.
Wow those are nice fat cows and that is a nice old tractor we have a old 730 and 530&a 310case dozer
Another great video I love watching ammo cases fire up I hope everything is all well with everybody in the family the cows look well the kids look healthy as ever love how your farm is family oriented one day I want to meet you guys it would be an honor stay safe Stay classy stay warm God bless
Re 9:50
To quote the UA-camr known as "Elderly Iron ", "start them all before you tighten any"
The one cow racing you out to the yard with the feeder wagon was hilarious 😂. Y’all ain’t winning any NASCAR pit crew awards with that tire change. 😎✌️
The mud season always makes things more difficult, hang in there the grass will be greening up before you know it
Always love watching your videos... Especially love the end from around the 19 minute mark and the shots of the sun streaming into the parlor and the music fits perfectly! God bless you all!!!
Loved the video in the barn.
Seems like it never going to dry out. Love how your cattle know there on camera.
You have a 30 series Case that the PTO doesn't turn all the time. ....amazing lol
Actually have 2, that don't turn all the time, might be the only two, known to man! Lol
@@trinitydairy my 930 has always turned, even after a rebuild and new brake.....always have to shut it off to put the shaft on, then it'll hold still...good ol tractors tho.
@@Blazefork ,, I've got a Moline M670 like that, 🔄
Love the down home farm videos
Cow shadow for the academy award!
As always I enjoyed every minute of your video. The calves when you are putting fresh straw are like kids in a sandbox! too funny.
830 sounds sweet
i got one of those jacks, they come in handy for other stuff too! I used it on my JD B to remove the clutch driver! took the belt pully cover off, put the jack across it, put my 1/2 bolts in the holes, and into the clutch driver, acts like a gear puller! Tell Jen we're going to start a go-fund-me so we can get her a fork!!🤣
She has one, but after she poked a cow right in the nose she's a little leery of it lol!
@@trinitydairy Oh, I see!
Great video, God bless 👍
Loved the sound of the geese, looking forward to them arriving here in Alaska. Hopefully soon.😀😀😀
Great video I really like watching your videos cuz it’s how a lot of farms use to be before they went commercial farms it was about pride and family
I have a 830case it been a Gooding and God bless yall
I have said it many times, but love that 830! Isn't that the one with the really nice seat you installed? Gotta love those high lift jacks, never understood why they didn't make a bigger bottom ote and better release mechanism. They work well though!! Really liked the shot there in shadow with a girl enjoying the sunshine😉😁 Thank you y'all for all you do!! Love trh content!!👍😁
Yeah, that's the one with the air seat!
@@trinitydairy I thought so😉 Thank you!!
Loved the music at the end. Very relaxing
Sweet little tractor! Brilliant video 💪🏻 🏴
Another good video. I need to find a feed wagon like the one you changed the tire on. Have a great day. 👍
I think I liked it better with one front wheel lol
I had had to comment at the end that Shout has killer eyelashes. 😊
Yeah that mud can surprise a guy on how deep it gets, you know its deep on the skidsteer if you need to use the bucket to push backwards.
Love all the videos!👍
liked and subscribe again have a good day greetings from a Dutch dairyfarmer
Hey Alan just checking in from Western PA. We had the old BN out today hold two little loads of firewood in with it. Not a real big tractor so we use a small trailer on it and we hold a load in on the big trailer behind the super h. B seems to be working quite well after the rebuild last Summer. I understand what you're saying about weather we were fortunate this afternoon to get the plows in the ground for some of our oats ground. Got about a third of it plowed this afternoon weather forecast is not real encouraging for all next week so we may be have all cloud we're going to get plowed for a few days now good to see things going well over there in Minnesota kind of fun watching that cold start in that old 8:30. Take care stay safe!
Com'on Allan! You need to put a warning on before your video "Graphic facial hair to follow viewers beware!"😆😆
Another awesome family video stay safe good people 👍
Lol!
I think that mud buggy (case) has a pretty good engine in it!
Love your videos
Very excellent video as always!!!
Great video
case sounds good al
I was weighting on Jen to hit with the straw flack
Won't be long now!
Wish I could be there help you with the equipment help to feed amminals God bless you all be safe
I like your John Deere wind vane I have one just like it, I bet it’s your wife’s
Worse...my father in law put it there lol!
When I was a young teenager.. I had to saddle up .And ride. A Horse. Would carry a small bail o hay to take up to the sheep ,
Yikes!! Hate to see you use that style of Jack. Very unstable. Down here in Texas we call them widow makers. When is Jen’s birthday? Maybe you could get her a hay fork so she doesn’t have to pitch straw by hand😁. My grandad fed dairy feed out of a wheelbarrow just like you do. He knew each cows production and gave the appropriate amount of scoops. Loved the photography at the end. Great video!!!
She has a fork!
She has one lol!
👍👍
I love.milk..
I think you guys should get a small tmr mixer it would be a costly investment yes but would help you guys mix your cattle rations plus you can dumb your hay and silage and all that good stuff in at once and mix your tmr then use the wheel barrow and a convayor to fill the barrow up from the convayor I'm kinda smart for a 26 year old lol
If I could find one I could afford I definitely would
@@trinitydairy right shit no cheapy no more
No. Just went to an auction today and there weren't any bargains
@@trinitydairy that sucks man
👍👍👌
When I used to help family on their dairy farms we always used to feed 1 pound of grain to 4 pounds of milk. we had a scale on our feed cart to weigh the grain according to each cows production. I notice you do not weigh the cows grain. Just curious how you prevent overfeeding cows that do not produce as much milk and underfeeding cows that produce more? Just curious...by the way keep the videos coming....they are great, very informative and gives me great memories.
The scoop I use holds 6 pounds of grain, and each cow gets a different amount of scoops, depending on how much she's milking.
@@trinitydairy Ok ...that sure makes life easier and quicker for feeding...what a great idea. Thanks!!
snow or mud whats your pleasure
Is that tire speed rated?😉
I THINK THE OLD
GIRL NEEDS A LITTLE
LOVE A GOOD 👍
TUNE UP
Nice trike! What is the model?
ATC 200
I hear Sand Hill Cranes in the back ground.
I heard Canada geese too.
Yup there was 6 of the cranes and a whole bunch of geese. Jen said we had 10 swans in the field.
Is it a gas powered or Diesel. Sounds like it runs on gas.
It's a Diesel.
Question for you allen? When did J.I. CASE stop making the air cleaner stacks for the 930ck. Because i have one its a diesel and it dosent have one.
I guess I don't know, I don't think I've seen one without the air stack.
@trinitydairy ok I'll show you the one i have.
Cow milk..thanks
Alan is your milk barn considered a what kind?
It's a stanchion/ tie stall barn.
💕💕#
A friend of mine has a 730 gas Case with a loader. Does your power steering quack or squeal when you have a heavier load in the bucket? We have tried so many things and can't figure out why.
Yeah, that's pretty common, the belt that drives the power steering pump probably needs to be tightened or replaced, it needs to be as tight as you can get it. it's a pretty small belt, I think they should have used a wider belt or a double v belt.
@@trinitydairy We have as tight as we can using a pry bar. We have tried different brands and quality of belts and still squacks and the steering wheel kicks back. Tried different belt treatments with no luck. Fine with no load. He has an actual Case loader from the same vintage. Thanks
@@drdulas5055 have you checked the tension of the main belt?
@@trinitydairy Yep, been working on the problem for about 30 years. Like you mentioned it is a small belt and evidently the ratio of pulley to pump size is to close and leaves no room for more torque when the demand is there. Nature of the beast I guess.
@@drdulas5055 yeah, I don't like that design, the one I have is the same way, I always have to tighten the belt.
Question. Does your family consume unpasteurized milk?
Yes we do
@@trinitydairy ❤
@@trinitydairy I second that too.,,❤️
Did you ever buy your (variable frequency regulator) for your drill press? I don’t think they are that much money they are less than the cost of a low cost computer.
No I haven't, the motor on the drill press is single phase, so I don't think a variable frequency regulator will work, but I could be wrong.
Jees jen cant alan get you a pitchfork!! that cherry is one fine looking cow! she a good miker? whats her lineage?
I offered her one lol! She's by Sympatico. Jen used to show her, very correct cow. She milks really well. She stepped on a teat show she only milks on 3 which was such a shame, but even on 3 she puts it in the tank.
@@trinitydairy how about her babies you have any? they should be good if they are anything like her
Yes she had a heifer this year.
i hate wheel studs like that i whish the put the lugnut style on everything way easier to mount
👍👌🇨🇦❤
Lots of Geese. I love those 30 series Case tractors. I have 5 of them, lol
