Very interesting....with our overseas tourists getting a dip with covid 19..this is a wonderfull idea to concentrate on local tourism.....if I may, can I please share this link on our self catering accommodation website?
Super thanks for continuous learning experiences. Feels like I'm there as well i can smell the sea. Forwarding this to my daughter overseas to share with her friends. Lets make them salivate to come to our beautiful country. Thank you excellent initiative.
I recognize Alistair from a few years ago, talking to his tour group at Cape Point, about a small island in the water... And me listening for free and asking questions too! :) Great video guys!
Very interesting....love your idea of promoting local tourism....if I may I would like to share the link on our self catering accommodation website.. Is it possible
@@WhereToGOAfrica In the 70s and 80s it was a library. Might've been the building behind it but I'm pretty sure it was the whole hall. I remember it as a kid.
One issue i have with this is that you do not highlight the fisherman flats, the epicentre of what Kalk Bay is, the place people should go and vheck out...
These are wonderful peeps and guides ! unfortunately this video doesn't do Dion's chirpy and cheeky character (with his interesting past) justice, you have to meet him in real life and hear his voice. Likewise Alistair...while Kim flourishes. Love their tales...(all better in person of course).
DONT BE FOOLED- I had my car carjacking and stolen there recently and was taken for a 1 hour drive around Cape Town by 3 men armed with knives- all they got was R300 . May look nice but there is organised crime in that area. What about my car you may ask, well SAPS Bellville South impound lot is refusing to release my vehicle, because they have a reputation there for stripping or selling stolen vehicles.Do not allow SAPS to take your vehicle under any circumstance. Tourisst avoid this area.

Great 😍
As far as I know what is now the community Centre was originally the local library.
In 1906 it was a sewerage pump station. 😁

Thanks for your feedback Brett, unfortunately we couldn't include everything - although we were in the fisherman's flats with Racquel.

😅 We were all a bit nervous - this being the first time in front of a camera... The next video you will see us all back to normal 😂📸

Sorry to hear.
This is a terrible representation of Kalk Bay. Please learn your history.
Interesting comment.
