Webinar Recording: Informing Adaptive Allocation Strategies for Transboundary Fish Stocks

On Wednesday, November 6 at 2pm ET/11am PT, we hosted a webinar on “Informing Adaptive Allocation Strategies for Transboundary Fish Stocks.” When fish stocks shift across jurisdictional boundaries-whether due to warming temperatures, range expansion, or other environmental conditions-it can cause significant management challenges. In this webinar, members of a research team shared their findings from a retrospective analysis of two important fisheries in the U.S. Mid-Atlantic: summer flounder and black sea bass. Their findings investigated various ecological and socioeconomic tradeoffs under different allocation options in the past. While not directly providing management recommendations, these results offered valuable context for future discussions on this topic.
