Thank you too for watching the video dear. Glad you like it. Vegetable glycerine 99.80 % in such a high quantity in a formulation acts as a preservative
No, not with that high percentage of vegetable glycerine. You can watch this video for more information about glycerine as a preservative: ua-cam.com/video/DvAn-ijbdd8/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for your wonderful methods . I have a question please , If I like to use this extract in a skin cream. Shall I take from it and mix with the already prepared cream .or shall I add something else ? And the purpose of glycerin here is to have a longer shelf life as a preservative or to have it in a form of facial serum ?
Adding such a high percentage of vegetable glycerine helps preserve the extract. Yes you can add it to your skin cream. First check the ph of the cream before adding in any extract, after adding the extract, check the pH again to make sure it is the same. If not, you need to adjust the pH
Mam in the cold process extract is it necessary to shake it everyday for a month? Or can i shake it once every 2 3 days? I've tried the hot process chamomile extract and it is so awesome thanks to you mam 🎉❤
Hi. Thank you very much. Very helpful. I watch you from Israel and really enjoy it. I want to make an oat extract. Is the dose still 8 grams of oats, 70 grams of glycerin and 30 ml of water??
Debe utilizarse en un plazo de dos años. Sólo asegúrese de que la glicerina que ha utilizado tiene una vida útil de más de dos años. Gracias por ver el vídeo🙏🏾
Cecil dear thanks so much for all your teaching, I appreciate u so much. please dear this bottled you use for extract please am in Nigeria where can I get it please because I have been looking for it but haven't found any please help if you can abeg thanks dear.
when making the hot process green tea extract, do you put in as much distilled water (15g) as the green tea water (15g)? And then add up to 100% to get the 70g of vegetable glycerin?
The best substitute for vegetable glycerin is glycerine usually made from palm oil, coconut oil or sometimes soybean oil. There is also Animal-based glycerin which is made from animal fat, like beef tallow, so it isn’t vegetarian. There is synthetic glycerin, made from corn syrup, cane sugar or propylene which is petroleum-based.
Heyyy cecil thankyou soo much for the video appreciate you hard work darling❤can i know whether i can use this method with fresh cucumber to make cucumber extract or can you come up with a video for that if possible thankyou❤
Thank you for watching the video and for your kind words. There are several methods of preparing cucumber extract, including a recipe using glycerine, which is similar to the cold process method in this video. I am working on a video for a cucumber extract recipe and if all goes as planned, I should upload the video on Saturday or Wednesday next week. 💕
Thank you too for watching the video. This an an extract, which is very strong and concentrated. It is advisable to use between 1- 10 % in a 100 grams formulation.

Thank you so much! I was going to buy extracts but you made this so comprehensible. Could I ask, which process do you think is best for use in skin care?
Thank you, glad you like the recipe. They are both good, with same benefits. Personally, I prefer the cold process method, because the extraction is gentle and the is less heat involved.
Thank you for the quick response! One other question, if I am making something and the recipie calls for the extract, glycerin, and a preservative do I need to still add the glycerin and preservative to that recipie or do I skip them since they are included within the extract?
I am working on green tea tincture by putting green tea in 99.5% ethanol. I wonder if I can get the same benefit from green tincture as green tea extract.
Hi sis. I'm from Bangladesh and a biggest fan of your skincare knowledge. I want to know if I add homemade rose hydrosol with store bought aloevera gel how long i can preserve that?? ❤️
You need a preservative because rose hydrosol contains no preservative. If you do not add a preservative, you should not store it for more than two weeks.
