Jonny and Kwesi being permanent members of the team is SUCH good news!!!
I LOVE THEM
❤Yes❤
For the last... year(?) I've been saying that Johnny/Kwesi both are the 4th guy.
same i love them both glad to know they're staples now
They were always my faves in this new era fr
In a rare moment of sincerity I want to say that the entire team at Try Guys are the greatest people you’ve ever met. Kind, hardworking, generous, etc. THANK YOU FOR WELCOMING ME TO THE FAMILY.
You’re a great addition Johnny 🥳
We’re happy to have you here!! You’ve been a wonderful addition 🥰
Jonny you're one of my favorite Try Guys! So happy to see you more!!!
WE’RE SO GLAD YOU’RE OFFICIALLY OFFICIAL 🥳
SO HAPPY TO HAVE YOU OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCED JOHNNY
I imagine the Try office was SWEATIN during the Watcher controversy lmaoooo
Yeah, But theirs seems much more thought out truthfully.
Especially by keeping the normal shows on youtube. So it's not a complete shut off.
Plus, I watch their stuff enough, that I would be willing to pay for it.
At least they did what watcher should have, started it where they still upload to UA-cam just a bit later and not moving everything behind a paywall watcher changed to after their apologies
Seriously, I hope they talk about it on the podcast.
@@rebeccameyer6612 That's because they had to watch the disaster itself before their own eyes
They got to learn exactly what not to do! Lol
I like that they're officially embracing the ensemble format. They've been heading in this direction for a while but it's nice for them to acknowledge it. I think it gives them a lot more freedom in the content they can produce.
They embraced the ensemble format 10 years ago when they left Buzzfeed. They made a ensemble channel called The Try Guys. Completely embracing an ensemble of guys...
As someone who pays for youtube premium to not watch ads, which does give them more money on watch time than watching ads would, I now can't get all your content? You guys mentioned ads a dozen times, never thought of those already paying to not see them.
They've done unbelievably well with this formula.
They've done literally all the content they want to produce. Keith eats 10 thousand dollar meals at mullti-michelin star restaurants. They travel the world. Do live shows. Have massive guest stars. And win awards....
How have they not had freedom??
that moment when quitting your job gets you promoted

Honestly werk
original experience i fear
Rachel being the first face you can see after Keith and Zach as they announce the larger cast was the only right choice here. Tears were shed as they continued to zoom out to show more people!
Major “the kids’ll be alright” energy, and I’m here for it!
(Also, MORE OF RAINIE PLEASE)
Yes to all of this!! I'm so proud of them! They just keep proving to us that they're genuinely great people. It's not just a fun tv personality, I absolutely love them.
I teared up right then as well 🥹
I don't know why I am crying either! Rachel really does make all of this happen. :')
I knoooow!! Rachel is the best 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥹🥹🥹
I came to the comments to say something similar! ❤
confirmation of jonnycakes as an official permanent cast member is the best news possible we are so blessed
genuinely
yay more chaos gay baker!!
FOR REAL! we’re all excited for that, cant lie
Jonny is the reason I’m still here lol, he is a star.
I swear the only reason I still watch this channel is for JohnnyCakes and Rachel.
if i may, I have downloaded 2nd try (there’s a 7 day free trial, btw) and I love the formatting but I am upset that there’s no comments section. Part of the fun of the try guys is connecting with the community and this streaming platform not allowing that feels like there’s a bigger separation between the content and fanbase.
I thought the exact same thing - discord isn't a good enough alternative. Part of the experience is reading the funny comments and feeling part of community
I'm really hoping they eventually implement something like a comments section. Hopefully if they get enough feedback asking for it!
Agreed, comment section is much needed
Nebula uses reddit
I was thinking the same thing!
the fact 'all our shows will still be here' was mentioned enough times to make a point😭😭😭
yeah they definitely learned from… previous events 💀
Yeah they clearly have been "watch"ing a certain controversy.
5:15 “the try guys is much more than just the two of us” and then it pans to rachel and slowly out to everyone else made me tear up a bit. you can tell how much they love and support each other
Yeah weird that Nick wasn’t in that shot…

Somebody really said “The Try Guys have the opportunity to do the funniest thing rn” and they said bet
Making a parody of dropouts announcement is genuinely a very smart way to go about this, considering how theirs was basically perfect
exactly! And hopefully like dropout they can smoothly transition to their streaming service without any backlash.
I already have DropOut I wish they were together as one 🫠💸

Eugene: stop telling people im dead!
FR tho I do miss Eugene
Nice brother bear reference
@@lorettabes4553 I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one that thought this was from Brother Bear.
"We're not leaving UA-cam, but you do have an option to have more"
This is how Watcher should have done it. Also, I'm so happy to see Ash. I'll miss Eugene, but we get more Kwesi, Jared and Marissa! I LOVE IT!
I agree I will miss Eugene too but I love seeing the others and I am a Johnny Cakes fan too lol.
Is eugene quitting officially ??? Did i miss something
I agree, but at the same time they were able to watch Watcher fail and learn from it lol
The thumbnail reminded me so much of watcher, the immediate 'panic'(I can't think of a better word) I felt 😅
Luckily, it turned out better
I just hope Eugene can find the time to guest star every once in a while
For anyone asking about Eugene: The group exclusively tells Rolling Stone that the upcoming season of Try Guys content will be Yang’s last, as he leaves the group to pursue other creative endeavors. But the group will keep going, with an expansion into 2ndTry TV, a subscription-based model they hope will allow fans of the channel to gain access to more content while giving the Try Guys more space to pick what they create.
At least it's official. I feel like we've been getting ghosted for 2 years. This feels like finally breaking up officially.
Thanks. They deleted my comments about this.
I think he'll regret it, but oh well.
I do hope Eugene stays as a co-owner or shareholder. So while he's no longer appearing on videos, he still gets to benefit from the wonderful stuff he already did
Nooo he was my favourite 😭
I’m hoping he’ll randomly guest star. He was always my favorite but as the new crew of cast have come in I think Kwesi is my fave and Eugene always kinda feels like he’s begrudgingly there. Im glad he’s moving on to new things and that he’s doing what makes himself happy.
Right after the situation with that other channel, the try guys put out a post like, "tomorrow's video is gonna be delayed!" And the comments were joking around like, "they have to delay the announcement for their streaming service" omg i never thought that would be real 😂
"i hope the thing we're remembered by hasn't happened yet" is honestly such a great quote to live by
But it's going to be the clitoris.
I'm sorry after the watcher controversy this is so funny, I can only imagine how stressed it made these guys😅😂
The funniest part is that this obviously took a long time to put together, meaning they had all this ready to go when the watcher thing happened 😂
I was thinking the same thing lmao
@@notaspeck6104 exactly, I can't help but picture them seeing the watcher controversy happen and being like "oh sh*t"
Especially since fans speculated they'd also launch a streaming service but were like no they'd never... Looks like this is well done at least
@@coldnightair_2578yeah I'm excited for this one ngl
This is how you launch a streaming service without alienating your entire fanbase. Also, why it is sad to see Eugene officially leaving, I'm glad its so he can focus on doing solo things and there's not any bad blood. Looking forward to seeing where the new explanded group takes things
Exactly, couldn’t have said any of that better myself! All the comments salty about Eugene’s departure…so entitled and strange. He’s a grown man that can make grown up decisions, some people see content creators as servants with no free will it’s so strange. Anyways, I’m super happy for the new direction the Try team is taking and I wish them all and Eugene the best!
Lets be honest it's like Eugene left a while ago but it's just official now. I do hope he pops up in a video every once and a while
Wait eugene is leaving? I dint see this in video 😢
Agreed. Here’s hoping there are a few guest appearances in the future since it seems like everyone is on great terms
100% this. Watcher failed in that regard on their announcement.
I fully support this business model. It's pretty much a fancy Patreon. Uncensored, longer episodes that will eventually make their way in a more ad-friendly version to youtube. A few exclusives here and there for those that subscribe to the streaming service, but still regularly uploading to YT. This really is a win-win for the super fans, and for the casual viewers.
Exactly this. I can't afford to pay, but I understand making exclusive content for those who can
@@ashildrtheswift3028 I"m in the same boat! I'm honestly hoping others will like it to support the crew in a better way financially
FYI: Eugene is leaving, it’s been confirmed in a Rolling Stone article. This upcoming set of videos will be his last.
It’s really bittersweet. But I can’t say I didn’t see this coming
He’s basically been gone for 2 years now, it won’t be that different
I’m not heartbroken- it’s not a bad split like… other people… and it’s not like he’s been “around” anyway. If we get to see him doing more things like the Met Gala and Nimona I am excited for all involved!
Things like this never being communicated is why their channel suffered imo
Technically not his last video, the last "Try guys" season will be available as well. But it makes sense and it's not on bad terms so
Bummed about Eugene’s official departure but I think many of us were bracing for this to happen. Super stoked to see more of Joyce and Kwesi! I hope to see Ryann too - was so happy to see him in the Jeopardy episode!
I have a feeling he would still guest in some videos (atleast I'm hoping he does) but it's still probably not as frequently
Not a surprise. He obviously was on his way out twice
I mean…I don’t think he’s appeared in any content this year so we can’t miss what we’ve never had lol that being said I would be happier about him leaving if I had seen anything else he’s worked on but he’s been like a ghost
@@catherinecran9329 the book is coming out basically now, the movie he is directing is in the making.

So sorry for your loss!
Hope you are doing good ❤
This has strong Dropout vibes. Meaning, they seem to be taking a page from the Dropout playbook, no restraints placed on them by corporations/companies, create the content they want, not be stymied by the unreasonable, unfair and inconsistent rulings of UA-cam on what is and isn't allowed in a video, hiring/collaborating with friends and other personalities.
very much reminded me of dropouts announcement video!! even how it was shot 😂 but hey go with what works yall!
Them appearing on Um Actually and Sam Reich being on etm m* made me think something like thus was coming...
Had the same thought
And it's reasonably priced. 3.33 a month is totally doable.
I wouldn’t be surprised if they talked a lot with Sam & others while they were filming at Dropout for their guest spots in Um, Actually.
YOU’RE STARTING AN ONLYFANS?!?!?!?!

I think I’ve missed something where and when did “Ash” start making content with the Guys ?
So hot
I am beyond excited for him to join the cast!!! :D
That was great❤
While I’m loving the new app, I do miss being able to see comments on the videos. It would be cool to implement that so that there is still that sense of community amongst those who watch your videos off of UA-cam
Yes! This is what I miss on DropOut
please please consider adjusting the prices to other countries realities! the subscription is a very fair price in US dollars to US citizens, but the straight up conversion to other currencies make it very hard to subscribe. In brazil, the monthly subscription is pricier than netflix or amazon prime, and the yearly subscrition is pricier than netflix, prime, paramount+ and hbo max!
I know adjusting prices to different countries and currencies is not an easy or fast task, but please consider doing this in the near future, it would make it waaaay more afordable and more people, myself included, will join!
Yes please (as someone who lives in 🇿🇦)
Agora estou curiosa para saber quanto é em Portugal... eu não tenho nexflix nem nada disso mas se fossem 5 euros até era okay mas se for mais caro ☠️
Actually looking it up, ignoring this is a one channel subscription, 4.99 USD is cheaper than all of the other streaming services in Brazil, but it is for one channel though, which puts it on perspective.
@@bluester7177 i was considering the cheapest subscription option in all streamins mentioned! 2nd try is R$ 25,58 (montlhy) or R$ 256,29 (year). Netflix is R$ 18,90 (monthly w/ ads), prime is R$ 19,90 (monthly), hbo max R$ 239,90 (year), Paramount+ R$ 133,90 (year).
@@bluester7177 idk why but my response dissapeared (maybe youtube restrictions for dolar symbol?), so i'll try again: In reais, 2nd try is 25,58 (monthy) or 256,29 (year). Netflix cheapest subscription is 18,90 (monthly), prime is 19,90 (monthly), paramount+ is 133,90 (year) and hbo max is 239,90 (year)
This was much better done than the Watchers, who made their sad couch video read like a "Boo hoo we're poor" moment instead of "Hey, we wanna make stuff that UA-cam thinks is a sin, do you want to watch it?" Plus they're looping their ticketed live shows into it as well, which is a nice perk for people who already pay for those.
Im not a person to pay for earlybird content but adding the livestreams added does change my mind.

There's a marketing class here on what this team did vs Watcher. This video was executed excellently and didn't come across like a breakup.
indeed and the way they handled 'that' crisis last time was a great PR too
It’s clear they aren’t in an echo chamber and actually listen to the people around them. It doesn’t seem like the Watcher had that. But agreed, this was a masterclass on how to announce a new subscription based service!
@@stephaniebeffanie8956 and having a more progressive approach to introducing the cast vs a hard launch is the best, we already fell in love with all of them!!
Am I tripping or is this literally the thing that people hated about Watcher? Like nobody wants to buy a trash streaming service to watch content that was free and will surely not be worth the price.
@@kebabkebob7808watcher was moving everything that used to be free to their new service. Try guys are keeping this channel the same with extra stuff on the paid service
Thank you for not completely leaving UA-cam for us poor folks 🙏🏻

@@SarinaGyeah they saw how that played out and were like.... Let's pivot
They still think they’re worth way more than they are. Paid streaming? lol nope. This needs to stop. There are too many paid streaming services.
Yes-I adore these guys, but I can't justify a subscription service in my budget.
@@Tom-cn4cmTo be fair, Dropout has been quite successful after pivoting to a paid streaming outlet. The trick is do what they’re doing, still have a majority of the content be free and slowly start making exclusive shows for the people willing to pay.
It’s like, just like a Patreon. Extra stuff for the people who wanna pay.
I really hate this is the direction youtube is pushing our creators
Yup... UA-cam is forcing a lot of big creators off the platform. UA-cam is too big for their own good.
Yeah same...I didn't come here to watch more TV. All of the overproduced content feels so impersonal
Ya but it’s bigger than UA-cam. It’s social media and the switch to all streaming content platforms. Things are just changing.
platforms that try to grow themselves too big never learned from Rome, you try to get too big and you just crumble
For real, I'm not wild about having to pay a bunch of new subscription fees instead of just the one I was paying before (well, two, Dropout got my money much longer ago)
How much are we betting they were gonna announce this a few weeks ago but then watcher fumbled it and they had to reevaluate
Guess we know why the office was torn apart and they had a video delay a few weeks ago 😂
@@ashleyblum6219 From what I've gathered, that's actually because they were filming the full season of Escape the Kitchen
Actually on the podcast they've been saying for a while the announcement would come late May but it IS shocking how they got everything right that Watcher didn't. I almost feel bad for them for being sacrificial lambs 😂

From this video, key differences to Watcher Announcement:
1) Try Guys are gonna be be able to cast on a TV? That was a huge complain about Watcher, ppl can only watch that on a Browser.
2) cheaper and providing early bird pricing to loyal fans.
3) TONS TONS TONS OF CONTENT. Looks like basically every pilot they showed us the past few months has episodes on this thing? Plus new stuff? Plus an entire cast????
Watcher was like "1 new show. That's it."
4) not leaving UA-cam.
5) Try Guys also does have lots of live events they've charged for before that will be there. I've seen them all and it will be cool to rewatch. That's another added value that Watcher couldn't provide.
Sorry to them but Try Guys KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK with this. 🎉😭🔥🔥🔥
not the mention the announcement was very fun and not taking itself too seriously like they did 💀 no hate to the watcher bois tho ofc
They also brought a different energy, instead of "please money us, youtube hard" they were more "sup yall, so much going on, now even more going on over here! look at all this stuff! it would be great if you get in on a piece of this action!"
You guys come on, they probably saw the backlash from Watcher and learned from their mistakes. Which good for them for not just repeating those mistakes, but I doubt this was the original model.
thank you for this, i was kinda confused about the watcher situation compared to this
Im in !! I can still play around with my other Subscriptions, drop Disney+ one month, get 2nd Try one month etc. Being able to watch a vastly diverse group of People with a variety of backgrounds, cultures & experiences. And equally as happy for this new iteration of TryGuys. Great Job 🎉🎉🎉
putting the old premium live shows on this thing is probably the best decision they could have made omg
I really wish more creators would embrace platforms like Nebula, which is a multi-creator owned streaming platform. It's so frustrating when people who excel at content creation open themselves to the enormous costs and risks of also running a technology business. Shareholder-owned platforms have all the problems they talk about here, and individualized streamer platforms just aren't a sustainable approach. There's a middle way between these solutions.
I do think way more creators want to come to nebula. It’s just that nebula is very picky with who they are letting in
@@horcrux87 I think that's probably a healthy sign since it will require a lot of trust and collaboration for the model to work. I mentioned Nebula as an example of the form: platforms can be stronger when multiple creators work together to make it happen instead of just one channel.
@@herzetty totally agree. that's why I like nebula so much. I can support multiple creators at once.
If only Dropout, Watcher, and Try Guys had banded together to create a streaming platform together...
I'm genuinely heartbroken to see Eugene stepping away from the group, but I'm also so happy to see him pursue bigger ventures and new passions. And I know the future of Try Guys is in good hands with this new cast. Seeing Kwesi, Jonny, and Jared join as permanent members (plus others!!) is going to be so fun. It's a very bittersweet moment, but the future has never looked so exciting

3:31 wait, kwesi sifting flour and then just dumpinh it in KILLED ME
the energy difference between this and the watcher announcement video is a huge part of why this is gonna be a success. not to mention they’re not leaving youtube AND they already put out so much content.
Watcher did it too soon. That was their only mistake
Right? They have more than 3 shows, plus YEARS of back catalog that makes $5 a month seem a little more reasonably priced. I probably won't be a consistent subscriber, but I might sub a month at a time to watch new stuff

I completely understand sticking it to the UA-cam algorithm to get more freedom of content, and a justified revenue stream. I just don’t want a future where I am paying multiple individual youtube channels for their content. I hope great channels like this can stick to their intention of keeping most of their content here on UA-cam. (Delayed airing or whatever)
I will say I am on tight budget but that 20% off for joining made it easy, I am more than happy to pay 3.33 a month the first year and see how it goes and I can cancel anytime it looks like but I don't see that happening.

lol they really took notes from Watcher’s failure: very specifically said they’re staying on UA-cam, really highlighted all the new cast in light of Eugene “officially” leaving and also the tone is completely different: fun, uplifting and exciting.
Side note: I understand being sad Eugene is leaving “officially” but I don’t understand some of the salty comments about being “ghosted” for the last 2 years… I personally think it’s really exciting how much success Eugene has now outside of UA-cam! Although I miss him I feel like he has absolutely no obligation to me and other viewers to stick with the TryGuys or even explicitly communicate all his career plans or a timeline for returning/not returning.
Agree wholeheartedly, especially about Eugene. It’s great to know that he’s happy and thriving in his career! People out here get reeaaaalllly weird and entitled in these parasocial relationships with content creators and start thinking that they personally OWE them in some way. It’s cringey.
Exactly! While it’s sad that Eugene is officially moving on he’s been very open and vocal from the start that that was his ultimate goal. Also, he is still an owner in the company so I wouldn’t be shocked if he still came around every once in a while…
Try Guys was always meant to be a jumping point to expand on their creative endeavors and it looks like they are all doing that in the best way they can. Good for them.
This will have been planned well before Watcher released.
They're taking more notes from Droput/CollegeHumor (they're even using the same website style/design)
They might have changed minor details, but they had this planned well before the Watcher debaucle.
@@SerenityAlways in light of the new video directly from Eugene saying goodbye I feel like the “creative jumping off point” is very true and also for Eugene in particular I don’t think he’s ever fit in to the “UA-cam personality” that Kieth and Zack have. He’s clearly a behind the camera/page kind of guy, which is great! And obviously he still got a lot of value and growth by being in the Try Guys but in retrospect with more context it’s really clear this was never his main goal in life creatively, to be on camera talent.
The fact that I knew everyone in the video made me realize how much of the try guys I watch😂 also didn't realize I've been watching for 10 years 😂
Riiight? 🥹🥹🥹🥹
Same, with every new/familiar person I watched appear, I realized they've really done a great job building out their cast over time!
i started watching yall back when you were still at buzzfeed and i was probably 11 or 12. i'm 19 now, and to be honest, i don't keep up with the content nearly as much as i used to due to college and work and general young adult responsibilities, but i'm so excited on yalls behalf (and on eugenes, for what the future holds for him) about this new chapter. excited to see some regular guests become full cast members too! i feel like ive grown with yall over the years.
While I won’t be subscribing to the separate streaming service, this is a good announcement! I love a lot of the content the Try Guys make that gets demonitised and am glad it’ll have a home and a platform (more educational weed content!) and might subscribe for a month here and there when I have the time to enjoy the content. To folks here saying “it’s Watcher all over again”: it’s not because they immediately clarify in this video that UA-cam will still be receiving content. Also, Patreon has a lot of new and incoming content restrictions. This is a media company with a lot of employees and contractors that has a substantial overhead, and this is a good way to produce a whole portfolio of content without having to constantly worry about UA-cam’s often arbitrary demonitisation
Thank you! Truly I think a lot of people don’t fully realize this will have content that would typically be on Patreon (which is ALSO a low monthly subscription) that cuts out the middle man that allows them to have control of not only the funds but also the content they make
Yeah, I feel the same. I can’t justify another streaming service right now, but I hope it goes really well for them.
Now if a combo subscription came out that covered this, Dropout, and Nebula, that’d be a no-brainer for me. I think we are inevitably headed in that direction, given how some media packages with traditional providers are already going, and the similarities to what happened with Cable and Satellite in the 90s.
The Try guys also put out WAY more content than Watcher does, and showed us teases of the new content that is on the way, which watcher didn't.

My only issue with the new app is that subtitles aren’t available on every video. I rely on them and that’s why I would prefer UA-cam, the sole reason. It must really suck for people who have hearing disabilities or difficulties
I use subtitles bc sometimes I have a hard time understanding what people are saying or I’m in public without my headphones. hopefully the can implement captions on all videos soon ❤
somebody mentioned this in a comment on their ig announcement and they confirmed in response that there will be subtitles they just havent finished rolling out yet i believe
@@fabulosa2904 Thanks for the info! I'm half deaf so I watch everything with subtitles. I haven't checked it out yet but if I saw they didn't have them on all the videos it wouldn't be worth it to me.
I'm glad another reply below confirmed that they plan on full subtitles soon! They said on the Trypod podcast episode this week that they will also make the Second Try subscription service available via UA-cam -- I think it's called channel membership? So that you can access the paid service via the UA-cam app if preferred over their own app. Just wanted to mention because that might address the subtitle issue sooner! (Depending on which change is implemented first)
Thank you. I was so excited by this video, but my first concern (as someone with a hearing disabilities) was if there would be subtitles. They're absolutely necessary to me, and thank you everyone who replied to help clear this up. So all videos will have subs, but they're just still rolling them out? :)
How lucky the Try Guys must feel that the Watcher fiasco happened first so they could take notes on how to NOT announce basically the same thing
The issue with Watcher is not the presentation but the fact they are forcing us to use a trash streaming service. This is as bad but the viewers for try guys are dumber.
"I don't know why your cat's watching me, either, but I LOVE IT." Great comprehensive announcement, and I really appreciated the reassurance from the beginning that the YT channel isn't going away, and that anyone can still watch. Just support if you can/want to!
Zach and Keith have been at the heart of the try guys for so long. I'm so grateful that they have truly commited themselves to their company and their employees.
Just FYI, y’all did this right. Never even thought of subbing to Watcher’s because the way they did it seemed so salty and unnecessary, but THIS makes sense. 100% will be supporting y’all. We love to see creators actually care about their viewers!
ps literally would’ve paid just for smoke show so this is HYPE
I cant imagine how they felt during the watcher controversy- like "that could have been us" 😂
Zach: Some videos are demonitized, like when i said butthole
Keith: That did happen
Rachel now thinking: Is this video gonna get demonitized too?
it's an announcement so she probably went: "ehh whatever"
Given the number of times they dropped the f bomb intentionally, YES, and they knew it would be.
honestly, you can tell this video has such a different vibe than when watcher released their announcement. everybodys happy, you can tell a lot of thought and effort went into the announcement video and why theyre doing this and how they can completely inform and justify to their fans the reasoning of it all.
i cant say im happy that this is the direction youtubers feel like they have to take, but i do like that the try guys can now post more content that youtube just wasnt allowing before (smoke sesh coming back is kinda exciting), and that theyre even discounting the price for the first initial year. i might genuinely consider signing up for this, and thats saying something considering i dont often find myself watching tv and i have a cheap mentality at heart.
eugune having his final send off sometime soon is sad to see, but im happy for all of the career choices he gets to make now, and everything i will see of him in the future. i do hope, at least, that eugune will make a rare appearance in try guys videos going forward.
Although there's a lot of conversation about Eugene right now, I just want him to know: I support you Eugene! It's never wrong to expand your wings and try new things! Your involvement with TTG has and will always be a core memory, especially with your coming out video. As an Asian American LGBTQ+ member, I say thank you for everything. We will and have missed you, but we know you'll go out and continue to do great things! And I'm excited to see a new Try Guy fill in (I think I recognize the guy who winked, possibly from BF or here?) All the best ❤️ -Jay

Coming from the TryPod and am so excited to see Ash’s content! In the parasocial way, it is always so nice to see how creators keep up with each other and grow! The 2nd Try cast looks like a great group of people!

this i cant put out 50 dollars but at least their putting their regular content here like scheduled then uncensored p sure the same content on their 2nd try onlyfans and im not mad at it.
Case in point. I had to search for this video specifically because other content and included hints made me super confused and I was told in the comments section that a video explained it. Seeing how I've seen every single try guy video made, you'd think UA-cam would recommend/feed me all new videos from the channel.

This is how u launch a separate streaming service. It’s not about wanting ur fans to financially support wat u want, it’s about being able to bring ur fans wat they want w/o 3rd party interference. I love this for them even if I can’t join atm.💜
Wonder how different this presentation looked pre and post the Watcher streaming disaster lol
What disaster? I missed it somehow...
Watcher made a video basically whining that they don't make enough money and tried to guilt trip their viewers into subscribing to an off-youtube private streaming service much like 2nd Try. Honestly there's nothing different between the two services aside from the content and the way they announced it. As a poor boi I'm equally as upset over the try guys doing this as Watcher. The other big difference is Watcher said they would leave UA-cam basically ASAP while the Try Guys said they'll just upload stuff late to UA-cam and keep new shows exclusive to their new platform.@@koyore
Honestly, probably not much different! It looks like they spent a lot of 2023 figuring out next best steps for the company, took some meetings with Rhett and Link, and had this ready to go probably about March this year with doing quality tests. I'm imagining there was some word tweaks, to emphasize that 2nd Try's channel is remaining on YT and still going to have new content, just not the "spicy" shows that will be on the streamer.
What I find funny is that people have forgetten that this is basically what their patreon was... before they started forgetting about the people who supported them being solo day one and alot of us jumped ship. I suppose they'll make more money so they'll likely stay up to date with it this time.
Yup. They've stated many times how much advertising revenue they lost during the scandal; they must have learned a lesson concerning how quickly big advertising dollars can disappear, but the fans don't turn their backs as quickly. Back to keep the fans happy which in turn, will bring the more stable (in comparison) fan dollars.

So excited for everyone!!

I've been saying that Kwesi and Johnny are the 4th guy for months too! I wonder if they're doing a Smosh sort of thing where Zach/Keith (Ian/Anthony) are the originals/main duo but everyone else is also a supporting cast member? OR are they making it so it's still 4 guys (Zach/Keith/Kwesi/Johnny).

Good job guys, for taking notes in order to make this announcement fun and exciting! Happy to see what's next for y'all!
Seems pretty similar to GMMs model. Still free content with lots of other interesting stuff for subscription. This is the right way to do it, unlike another group
@@andrewtoledo181 I agree. And I feel Rhett and Link never make anyone feel bad about mythical society, either. If you want it, great. If you don't, great. And that's why I support them and enjoy their extra content.
I think it would be nicer if these larger channels would try to merge with other streaming platforms rather than trying to recreate the issues that started when cable TV was new, and everyone thought charging individual subscriptions for their channels was a great idea. With Dropout, it was necessary because College Humor would have stopped existing altogether if they just stuck to UA-cam. I know it would be a big ask, but I think maybe working out a business deal with Dropout to have Second Try and Watcher content available through their program would be better, just to keep the "Giant UA-cam Channels with subscription based content" streaming platforms to a minimum. Just a thought
Or join an already existing service like Nebula. Jet lag: the game post their videos a week early and do Nebula exclusive content. Other UA-cam channels who post to Nebula do similar things too. It's all quality content, ad free, so I don't mind paying the £2.50 odd a month it is.
it's probably most likely bc tehy want to keep their creative freedom
@@xianem0 a service like Nebula for instance would most likely not interfere with their creative endeavors, though i see your point.. as for Dropout, i don‘t know much about them, so 🤷🏼♀️
Yeah, I’d love to see some more creators on Nebula because I already love it so much
this would make the streaming service less cohesive on both content and ethics and require them to relinquish a great deal of control, which youtubers are famously adverse to. its not a bad idea but it a very different one. i almost think its better to start individually and then merge later after the landscape changes and settles a bit
At first, I was so annoyed about another streaming service. But seeing Ash knock on the window I screamed and subscribed immeidately. Seeing all the hard work you guys put into this content. Couldn't be more excited for you guys. Congratulations!
I was really worried that there wouldn't be UA-cam content anymore, I'm so glad they said there will be. I was so sad to see ppl completely ending their channels in favor of streaming services. I get why, but it cuts out a huge portion of their audience who just can't afford a new subscription on top of how expensive just surviving is
UA-cam is truly dying when everyone has to make a subscription service.
I don’t think it’s dying. I think it’s a sign of success that so many talented creators have outgrown this format.
@@marcilk7534eh…as someone who was there when UA-cam first launched, I’d say it’s starting to die.
The algorithm isn’t just bad for creators. It’s awful for consumers. What I get shown on my home page is stuff that is weeks, months, and years old. The algorithm is also pushing *none* of the content I actually watch and shows me unrelated videos.
