Massacre goes down as one of the endings I love because of the Mc becoming so damn strong along with true demon ending in nocturne, and the Naoya ending in Devil survivor
Becoming God is a more preferable ending for me given on my mental evolution if there is a boundary or limit all things should surpass it as my knowledge of the universe has definitely surpassed that of what is considered normal for a human
becoming a god is a preferable ending for another reason, more linked to the story, in base SMT IV, it's said that the messiahs and everyone else are trapped in a endless cycle of reincarnation and pain, on the bonds ending you might think it's cool, but as shown in SMT II, god can be revived through the power of thought, when Nanashi becomes god, even if YHVH is reborn, he will not have the ultimate power of his throne, for Nanashi broke the cycle just like Daddy Dagda wanted
After finishing the Pacifist ending I came here. The Anarchy ending really is very... dark in a way, Nanashi will just become a new YHVH. Also, half expected him to stab Dagda after sitting on the throne.
i think that anarchy is mostly about what YOU as an individual would do if you had that power, dagda says a lot that you can carve your own way and i think the writers meant for you to take that part personally. you'd only be as bad as YHVH if you would do the things he did with that power
Anarchy is the best ending, not in the satisfaction factor, but in the moral one, sure, you killed your friends, enslaved Flynn, Killed what I presume thousands of Hunters, Ashura-kai and Gaians and blindly followed the clearly insane Dagda, but you also became powerful as fuck and broke the cycle of suffering that the White from base SMT IV mentioned
@@mongodroid4842 I love the death spell effect in IV. It's no Akasha Arts in terms of practicality, but it drives home the whole "I AM YOUR GOD NOW" point when you atomize someone, harvest their soul as fuel to create a new universe, then recreate their corpse from nothing and reanimate it as a thrall. Plus Dagda is best boye. anarchy ftw
Not gonna lie, Merkabah's voice still sounds like Jonathan's and makes me like him even more... I wish they had an option to revive him... Also, I'm a bit upset that the "bad endings" pretty much just are reduced to: "You fucked up, hahaha story over now go play the actual endings you coward." They had tons of potential.
After watching some gameplay of SMT IV and SMT IV:Apocalypse I wonder... Aside of A Strange Journey wich technicaly the fiths entry of SMT right(?), - could it be possible that the anarchy ending of Apocalypse starts the entry of the persona games? I understand that it's a rather farfetched strech but it just gives me those vibes. Plus Flynn starts calling Nanashi Master... And Philemons design has a pony-tail similar to Flynn... As I already mentioned it's just the vibes I get from this game so far. And I only got interesst in SMT IV and SMT IV: Apocalypse a very short time ago. I also understand if the games aren't meant to have any sort of connection but rather only keep refferencing one another... It's still a nice thought.
in my opinion, i think persona is just a whole series itself instead of being a continuation of smt iv. but i mean it is canon that smt if follows with persona 1.
Light neutral doesn't feel like a smt ending. One of the major points is that there is no right answer, meaning there is no right or perfect ending. Good exemple is smt strange journey. In the neutral ending what you did was basically put a bucket under a leaking roof, yes the floor isn't getting wet, but the bucket will overfill and the floor will get wet again. You don't fix the leaking roof and you can't fix it, because of human nature
This isn't the right answer either, it's not the first time God was killed in smt. He simply returns and the cycle restarts. The only ending that might be considered "good" is the one were you become god since it breaks the cycle but you also become a tyrant even before you fight YHVH.
That usually the point if most if not all Mainline SMT games. Law is Extreme Law Chaos is extreme chaos Neutral denies both and basically tries to patch up the messes each made in their conflict for the sake of a "new" path
i find the SJ neutral ending really funny in retrospect the schwartzwelt is based on the IRL hole in the ozone layer, which is starting to heal and close up and won’t exist anymore in a few decades so the metaphor about humanity destroying itself is somewhat contradicted now
Anarchy was the best ending. In the peace ending another god will take over for YHVH and start another cycle of law and chaos wars. Anarchy is the only ending where a new world, free of conflict can be formed. Of course, sacrifices were made, but their souls will all be reincarnated in the new universe.
People and gods aren't immune to degradation and failure. It's why these conflicts are cyclical. The attitude they had in the end was clearly indicative of that. There's no way he will be benevolent for long, if at all. Especially given the sort of drive you have to have to want to rule all of creation.
The funny thing is no protag can kill the One True God as stated by Steven as He calls it "The Great Will/Axiom" The reason why Messiahs from other universes come to fuck you up is because God doesnt like it when someone else pretends to be Him.

I know I am 10 months late but this has to be the most one track minded comment on Peace and Anarchy endings I have ever seen, especially hearing someone say that the Peace ending is Law Imagine missing the point that hard
I know I’m really late but smt is to side with law chaos or neutral and the good endings in this game are neutral considering in both you decide that yhvh is no longer needed Nd you won’t side with Lucifer but instead take the world and put it into a humans hands
Why? he was right. Humans turn on you several times throughout the game and your party is dead weight and turns on you the second you disagree with them
Wouldn't that make us any better than God or Lucifer then, choosing other people's destinies for them? Its a path that only you, the protagonist, believes is right, not the people. Besides, in this game, gods, humans and demons are all the same mentally. There can be kind demons and evil angels. Such as there are all manners of humans. Frankly I don't see a difference.
When you get an ending you have to beging since the beggining, but you can make a new game + with your level, items and demons. All the endings in this game are puntual moments when you have to decide (join Merkahbah, join Lucifer or agree with Dagda in a concrete moment).
If you don't want to start over, create a second save file at the focal points. (Right before you enter the Yamato Perpetual Reactor room to confront Lucifer and Merkabah, and in the 6th section of the Cosmic Egg, I think?)
I know who I would choose. Dagda. His vision... unlike what you might think, his path leads into true collectiveness, not individuality. Our physical bodies are what create the illusion of separation. His delusions of individuality shall pave the way for the universe I wish to see built.
Why would anyone reject Dagda ? Think about it. The souls of those closest to you...One shall be the wind, and the other the earth for example. And that wind shall touch the flowers that blossom from the earth like hands reaching out. They're not going to be separated. They're going to complete each other. Perfection might be a curse. But it must be explored none the less. Let people decide if they want it or not.

becoming a god is a preferable ending for another reason, more linked to the story, in base SMT IV, it's said that the messiahs and everyone else are trapped in a endless cycle of reincarnation and pain, on the bonds ending you might think it's cool, but as shown in SMT II, god can be revived through the power of thought, when Nanashi becomes god, even if YHVH is reborn, he will not have the ultimate power of his throne, for Nanashi broke the cycle just like Daddy Dagda wanted
become creator in new world and start making child with asahi 😂
@@lightmobamingler Hey Haleyujah is best girl
After finishing the Pacifist ending I came here.
The Anarchy ending really is very... dark in a way, Nanashi will just become a new YHVH.
Also, half expected him to stab Dagda after sitting on the throne.
i think that anarchy is mostly about what YOU as an individual would do if you had that power, dagda says a lot that you can carve your own way and i think the writers meant for you to take that part personally. you'd only be as bad as YHVH if you would do the things he did with that power
I'm bout to end this universes whole carrer
I'm bout to start this universes whole carrer
>Flynn is clearly disappointed o_o
Plot twist, he isn't the real one.
Why is flynn's voice so deep, like hes an 18 year old and he has the same voice as shido
And Tatsuya and Zen
@@danielmayonaka8818 yep
Because this isn't SMT 4 Flynn, but something else masquerading in his husk.
You should've heard my voice when I was 15
Isn't this like several years after smt4?
Anarchy is the best ending, not in the satisfaction factor, but in the moral one, sure, you killed your friends, enslaved Flynn, Killed what I presume thousands of Hunters, Ashura-kai and Gaians and blindly followed the clearly insane Dagda, but you also became powerful as fuck and broke the cycle of suffering that the White from base SMT IV mentioned
That is only if you agree with White's nihilism.
Zaalt Naerthe lmao except the whole point of the ending was literally destroying that so no Massacre is correct. It’s unfortunate but it’s correct
I got to drop a fat Mamudoon on a crowd of unsuspecting hunters and watch them disintegrate. I've never felt more evil.
@@O2Eater ok, time to delete my edgy-ass philosophical argument from 8 months ago, this is the real reason why anarchy is the right ending
Plus Dagda is best boye. anarchy ftw
Merkabah is the ultimate maid.
Agreed.
Jonathan and Walter ARE technically revived for the YHVH battle in the Bonds route
No
As mentioned, to me, it's a nice thought. Nothing else.
Persona started with a time traveller stopping SMT1's events
BatJoestar Bandana Ren Dee was that Raidou or just regular devil summoner?
Law is Extreme Law
Chaos is extreme chaos
Neutral denies both and basically tries to patch up the messes each made in their conflict for the sake of a "new" path
You should have used Redux as example since the vanilla SJ ones are straight up Bad Endings
i find the SJ neutral ending really funny in retrospect
the schwartzwelt is based on the IRL hole in the ozone layer, which is starting to heal and close up and won’t exist anymore in a few decades
so the metaphor about humanity destroying itself is somewhat contradicted now
Anarchy was the best ending.
Anthony Derome to me possibly becoming corrupt>being damned with my friends forever
The funny thing is no protag can kill the One True God as stated by Steven as He calls it "The Great Will/Axiom"
The reason why Messiahs from other universes come to fuck you up is because God doesnt like it when someone else pretends to be Him.
@@eatanotherzio6811 So, in the end, you've just become another corrupt Axiom-wannabe like YHVH only because you let a selfish and psychotic god manipulate you.
@@dancooper5423 I wouldn't say he became corrupt in an instant. It is most likely he will become corrupt as time goes on and a messiah from another universe will eventually defeat him. It sounds like this could be an optional boss fight for smt 5
I really want that anarchy is the canon ending for this game, so that we can face nanashi as the next messiah in SMT5.
Probably not. Any character development or sacrifices your allies went through will become pointless

Why? he was right. Humans turn on you several times throughout the game and your party is dead weight and turns on you the second you disagree with them
@@sock312 fr they aint real friends, if your friends stop being so because you disagree with them they are shit friends
@@sock312 friends still can fight. Its similar to Isebau fight in smt 4. They fight you because of what they think is right

after I finish one ending, how do I go back and choose the other one so I can see it for myself??
When you get an ending you have to beging since the beggining, but you can make a new game + with your level, items and demons. All the endings in this game are puntual moments when you have to decide (join Merkahbah, join Lucifer or agree with Dagda in a concrete moment).
If you don't want to start over, create a second save file at the focal points. (Right before you enter the Yamato Perpetual Reactor room to confront Lucifer and Merkabah, and in the 6th section of the Cosmic Egg, I think?)
at the end of the day the players have the final say..while atlus just created things
I'm probably shouldn't but I really like the last scene better
da'ww. The peace ending is giving me a toothache, hehe! Nanashi is so cute in that ending!
I know who I would choose. Dagda. His vision... unlike what you might think, his path leads into true collectiveness, not individuality. Our physical bodies are what create the illusion of separation. His delusions of individuality shall pave the way for the universe I wish to see built.

The peace ending is beautiful.
Yhvh is contradicting himself. Saying what nanashi did will eventually repeat
The L&C “routes” are just worse versions of the original 4s
Hmm, no Divine Powers ending.
Dagda is enough though prob Krishna would be redundant, also Krishna has the real Flynn so even if Nanashi falls to Merkabah or Lucifer he still wins
