Natural World: Weasels - Feisty & Fearless
Members of the weasel family are often portrayed as the villains of the natural world, but do they deserve this reputation? By following the adventures of a tiny orphaned weasel named Twiz, this film reveals the true nature of these pocket-sized predators, which relative to their size have a bite more powerful than a tiger's. In Yorkshire, a unique garden rigged with over 50 cameras gives a rare insight into the dramatic life of a mother stoat as she tries to raise her first family. And new science uncovers the problem-solving abilities of the honey badger, the secrets behind the ferret's legendary flexibility, and the remarkable sense of smell of the wolverine. Together, using their extraordinary skills, this feisty and fearless family have conquered the planet.
Welcome to BBC EARTH! The world is an amazing place full of stories, beauty and natural wonder. Here you'll find 50 years worth of entertaining and thought-provoking natural history content. Dramatic, rare, and exclusive, nature doesn't get more exciting than this.

Stoffel is now 25 years old. A honebadger lives for around 24yrs so you may think he's a fragile old man on his deathbed. But it's Stoffel, he can escape death.
And also he has a son, Stompy, to carry his legacy forward.

The absolute coolest thing I ever learned is that when baby Cheetahs are 1st born they have evolved to mimic the look of a Honey Badger. This is because the Mum is forced to leave them alone while she hunts for food. So the babies have a silver strip down their backs so that predators mistake them for H.B's and stay far, far away! Ain't nature the coolest shit ever!...lol...

These are scary-ass animals. They're tough as hell and smart as hell. Their skin is so flexible, it's almost impossible for other animals to bite vital organs. They have glands that produce a horrible smell. Pretty much every animal on the savannah leaves them the hell alone. It's been hypothesized that baby cheetahs' ridge of light-colored hair on top of darker hair is Batesian mimicry. From a distance, they look like honey badgers and predators are like, "Ah, hell naw!"

Fun fact: Octopuses are known to use “tools” to aid them with avoiding predators. If the Octopus knows it’s going to an open area with little to know rocks/coral etc it knows it will be vulnerable and will bring an empty coconut shell with it to hide inside of like a portable shelter. This not only shows their ability to use tools, but proves they have foresight and actually think ahead about what they’re doing…crazy intelligent
