He killed it, and seemed like he was having so much fun doing it. Surfing With the Alien had a huge influence on me as a kid, and made me realize I was just a hack guitarist. I’m glad to see Joe is still going strong and getting the appreciation he deserves.
Remember when this came out😮 was shocked how incredible an album it was and STILL is even after all these years! Managed to get tickets to this small venue he later played here. Me and my friend were in the absolute last row. Nothing but a cold wall right at our backs! My friend had a pillar right in front of his seat. Had to look either in the right or left around the pillar. 😂 STILL we had a blast! Memories! Thanks JS!
He's timeless. I saw him in Toronto during his Elephants from Mars tour last year and he was just as good as he was when I first saw him in the early 90's. I honestly thought before the show he's probably slowed down with age and would avoid some of his harder songs but nope he played all the hits from his early days too. I have tickets to see him in July on the Sammy Hagar tour...can't wait.

Eat Em and Smile,, Vai broke a strong,, he did not leave stage till Dave knew he was going to grab another guitar, I thought that was cool,, still remember. that,, and has been a few years ,,was their 100 concert in a row!!

Unsurpassed! After all these years and albums… After “Flexible” Vai hasn’t produced anything noteworthy, “Passion and warfare” was an overproduced crap without a single song. Joe is a real musician and axeman.
