You need to do some research on who started highway 2000? The previous government contracted Stanley Consultant from the United States Of America to do all the highways alignment in Jamaica? When you see Andrew Holness administration giving CHEC a contract to build a highway the blueprints are in place already. Did you know it is the blueprints that determine the cost of the infrastructure projects. 😊
When PJ Patterson founded highway 2000 in September 1999? Edward Seaga was against highway 2000, and we live to see Andrew Holness naming the North South highway, Edward Seaga highway 😢 that highway should never get its name? Because when Portia Simpson Miller started this highway the loan came from the leftist Government of Venezuela 😊 Then communist China finished the highway. Did you Edward Seaga was a member of John Birch society "JBS" in the United States? Right-wing political advocacy group, that fight against Martin Luther King, Black Panther Party, anti-communist etc.
@@waynemcfarlane1233You are misleading Jamaicans as the financing of PJ Patterson project significant increases the national debt of Jamaica and the toll cost implemented locked Jamaicans into a state of paralysis as the agreement prevented jamaica from upgrading the railway to high speed as it would compete with the highway. If the government introduce high-speed rail it has to compensate the owners of the highway for any loss in revenue. That was a very bad deal that PJ gave Jamaica and it has thwarted the development of jamaica transportation network to have options of road,rail and air available to the people. So stop fooling people with your polictic. Mr Seaga wasn't opposed to the highway it was the financing and burden and restrictions that was negotiated he opposed. The greatest increase in the national debt happens under PJ Patterson as the French company that got the contract walked away without finishing the North South leg and it was the JLP that got Chinese expertise and financing to complete these projects within budget and with reasonable financing
