I needed a vehicle after I hit a deer with my car. Picked up an 09 Escape 3.0 4x4 Limited with 195,000 miles for $2700! Had it now for over 7 months and no problems yet. Been a great vehicle.
This is one clean and sexy looking SUV. I saw the same model like this on kijiji and it was clean like this one with 200,000 klm on it and didn’t had no issues but the asking price was 5,500 for a 2008. After the owner didn’t get it sell, he then lower the price to 4,500 and it got sold. If you maintain these vehicles, it can last longer than the recommended klm
I bought my Wife a beautiful "Non Hybrid" Ford Escape XLT w/ 65k miles, same color as this one but much cleaner on inside & outside from an elderly couple for $2300. (Bluebook is only $2400 & less) Main issue with this model is the electric steering! If it was not taken in during the recall, it'll cost ya a $1500 if ya change the electric steering out yourself. $3k at a dealership! Also stay away from the "Hybrid MDL" the batteries are only warrantied for a few years & when they go out? The Car is completely inoperable! Otherwise, with regular maintenance? This is a great vehicle! A bit under powered & vibrates when AC is on because of the low power issue but runs great & easy to work on
Easy to work on my a$$ you must have a 4 cyl....changing spark plugs and coils on the 3.0 v6 is a 3 hour job...dont get me started on the alternator...
I do not understand how there are still so many Americans who speak badly of their native brands when they are cars that are very good. Ford and Chevrolet are an excellent vehicles.
Hi, I'm American here and I've worked for Ford as a Mechanic and more for the company for over 20+ years, I'm in my 60's now and let's just day Ford master mechanics and scientists in the higher UPS with the company and it's CEO knows EXACTLY what they're doing which is the main reason I left!! And that's because they PURPOSELY made these vehicles to where they don't last long and certain things won't work unless another part is connected and working and so on & so forth.. But these new vehicles especially Ford is all made to fail after a certain amount of years with crappy parts, and the way the engine and transmission is built is PURPOSELY designed in such a way to where it doesn't last very long because here's THE SECRET, these vehicle companies needed to find a way to keep making money and NOT JUST ON SALES of the vehicles alone so they did all this crap to keep customers coming BACK into their mechanic shops across America and THAT'S what makes these companies their MONEY now-a-days!!... So, enjoy that big secret there. Take care now!!..
ALSO, here's another big secret. Stay AWAY from those newer vehicles with the CVT Transmissions and cars with AWD!! They overheat and dye down on you and cause the car so many problems. SPECIALLY with the Dodge Calibur, oh, my God, it's absolutely horrible. How dare they skimp Americans hard earned money like this. What a shame on these Elites and their major companies in America. And anyone on the Left side of the playing field of you know what I mean!! SMFH. At my age (60+) best believe I am TIRED of it all. it ain't how it used to be! Everything built to last Etc.. Etc.. It's ALL a SCAM now-a-days to jip us for our entire wallets. Smh...
This was the best generation for the Escape IMO, idk why Ford did that dramatic European ‘bigger Focus’ design for 2013, I feel like the design for the Bronco Sport is what should’ve been the 2013-2016 Escape
I always recommend having a mechanic check it out. You might need things like brakes or tires or other maintenance items. But you want to make sure the engine and tranny are in good shape. Escapes are reliable, but not if they have been poorly maintained.
I think this one was around $8500. This video is from a few years back. I would guess these could be $4000 to $7000 range in 2024. As with all used cars it depends on the mileage and condition. And how well it was maintained.
This generation of escapes were so Good looking. Even now they are still very attractive.
Definitely
Reason why I got one myself 😁👍 got a 2009 limited model, one owner and definitely well kept and maintained, leather seats look nice 👌
Nice looking vehicle, especially if you get it clean inside out without any rust

Awesome color! Beautiful!
I just bought one in Hungary maybe there are some in this country, i love it and nice snow white color :P
Wow. I did just know they sold them in Hungary. That is great.
These escapes look so much better then the ones from today. I miss my 2009 escape
Definitely. I like SUVs to be boxier.
Newer models have turned LGBTQ+.

This video was from 2021. I think it might have been around $8000? I am really not sure.
2wd is more than enough even for Chicago winter lol 4wd is so overrated
I think it depends on how people drive. I owned a 98 Tahoe 2WD when I lived in NY and it was fine for me through the winter.
