Good message. If Billy Sunday were around today preaching this, critics would call him a "prosperity preacher."
How so? He didn't say that God gives more money to those who give in the offering plate. He just said that having money isn't itself a sin.
Agreed. They would not consider the financial prosperity of the 1920s he was preaching against before 1929 and the Great Depression (of which my parents constantly reminded me growing up).
Far from it, they would call him a hard nose preacher just because he preached real repentance, these modern churches would necer take a Billy Sunday.

Rev. Sunday was not afraid of offending anyone, unlike so many so-called preachers now-a-days! We had a preacher like Rev. Sunday, but now we got a new one, who is a good manager and organizer, but when he preaches, he puts folks asleep!

Personally what Billy Sunday said here in this video of him talking about the world and America needs to be free again since the damage that has been by that one sin that Satan himself caused when he tempted Eve into eating that forbidden fruit they were told to not eat all those years ago. His words are prophetic of what the Son of God told us in Matthew 24:12 where He said iniquity shall abound and the love of many shall wax cold.
