How to fix central locking problem on Range Rover L322 keyfob / BCU reset

- Our central locking went strange. The boot would open but the doors would no lock or unlock. We tried re-syncing the key but that did not fix it. In the end we had to do a "body ECU" BCU reset by disconnecting the battery and shorting the car electrics.

I have the opposite issue; drivers door not responsive to remote nor controls on door; all others work; and doesn't close upon holding lock; 3/4 open while holding unlock. L322, 2006 .... i think there's off menu key/fob programming; that repurposes.... fob; like, why only open 3/4 doors; not driver? Maybe for a kid/non driver to have access?

Hi there ,first of all I want to thank you for your helpfull videos , they really helped many people . I have a problem with my Range Rover Sport L320 2008 , the doors won't lock or unlock only the boot at the back .All the doors are now blocked , only driver's door open and I can not open them . I have found that the central locking fuse 30AMP its keep blowing and no idea why .... can I get some help please ? can this happen if the car battery doesn't have enough power ( it not new ) ? The car starts, everything its working fine... just the central locking not working .... when I change the fuse its working one time when I press on the keyfob but then it blows the fuse again ..... what can be ? I can not open the doors to take off the door card ( panels ) to look inside for acuator or any other problems as the doors are loocked / blocked in closed position.What can I do ? Please help ....thank you .
i have similar problem. alarm lights keep flashing now only drivers door open everything else shut locked cant open from inside or out only drivers door part from that everything else works fine. ! something is shorting out in the CLS then obviously. but what i dont know. what about central locking actuator ? pain the ass ay lol

So basically disconnect ground and put one side of resistor on ground lead and other side of resistor on positive side but only disconnect the negative from battery
Had the same problem with my 03 and the problem was the ECU was in transport mode.
How do you put it into / out of transport mode ?
Whar is the reading for the power resistor 20 ohm?
My L405 passenger door cannot be opened from inside or outside, the window and other doors work ok.

I’ve disconnected my battery and it hasn’t worked. New battery in key. No central locking lights still flashing. Pulled alarm fuse out cos that keeps going off. So that’s shut that up now. But can’t even put fuel in cos it’s locked help lol

So I have a question, my 2003 L322 has done the same thing by locking me it and the key doesn’t even work and the central locking doesn’t work. Would this work for mine? I was also messing around with the lighting for my car. Thanks.
Hi yes first thing to check is do you have a good battery voltage ? then try the reset..

Do you have to completely disconnect the battery or just the earth....
If you disconnect just the earth there is no circuit so it is the same as disconnecting the whole battery

Hi - you can use a car light bulb or low value resistor 10 Ohm / 5 Ohm

great vid mates! i am from the states, my 2010 lr 2 hse, is foreign made however i believe. i have new starter and battery, and power is there but it wont turn over, will reseting the ecu work? or do i have to find the EKA access code to disable the immobilizer system? i have no idea where that EKA ACCESS 4 digit code will be? please help!

The positive terminal on the battery? The disconnected positive lead? Or the positive lead still connected to the positive terminal on the battery? I want to try this but don't want to as he says do it wrong and have a bang

Am I missing something why would you climb through the back when you could use the key in the door barrel to open the door??
I think we tried this and it did not work.....but you are correct it does not cover this in the video... the car was proper messed up...
Any suggestions... My Evoque unlocks all the door but the driver side (it's a hit and miss situation)... ? Everything else locks and unlocks...

hy, i cant lock-unlock my freelander from keyfob or from inside,
the back is just open, olso alarm goes on and same if i unlock by pusing from inside, opens all dors if i start the car
i can only lock unlock the drivers door ....back door doesnt want to......

whats happing if simple connect negative to positive together without resistor?
it could cause a spike of electricity - you can use a bulb instead of a resistor ?
i did both connected for a few seconds , nothing happened . reason why am tryed it becouse my key doesnt lock and unlock doors .. ive seen another video about hold the button and push another button three times but nothing .. dont know whats the problem . sorry ive another question diagnostic shows suspension exhaust valve fault.. can find info online . one video i found on youtube but my compressor is different . 2007 range rover sport 2.7 ..thank you very much
what kind of resistor is recommended? I heard 20 ohm, watts? Does it matter?
Hi - does not really matter 10 Ohm - you could use a bulb or other low resistance item to drain residual current

hi , can you please advice me , i parked my car for many days so the battery go empty and when i charged the battery and start the car , it shows HDC INACTIVE AND SUSPENSION IN ACTIVE and the air sus control doesnt work any more , wopuld you please advice me for what i should do . thanks

Shawny Knoxville ,, no it didn't solve the problem ,after long search i found the height right sensor damage and now the car is working fine after i replaced the sensor with new one .
yeah i feel u bro ,, i get tired of it and now i order spring coil set from ebay im going to replace them all and have peace of mind , try take ur car to any mechanic shop where they have computer and see if they can clear the codes,, wish best of luck bro .

can you do this without the resistor like with jumpleads
more risky but if you leave it 10 mins it should be fine.
leave 10min connected positive and negative both together ?
should be OK but leave it a short while for the charge to "leak away" you could use a bulb instead of a resistor.
Is there any way to make my 07 l322 mirrors automatically fold in when locked? And the opposite when I unlock it?

What kind of resistor was used?
Just any low resistance 5 Ohm / 10 Ohm resistor etc but you want a physically large one ( high wattage to stop it getting hot )
