@@Jay_Rule I went on a ufo tour in Arizona last year. They used Gen 3 night vision. You could see for miles with those things. I can’t afford a $3,000 analog unit. So I was wondering how these would compare to a gen 3
@@germanshepherd6638 I've never tested a gen 3 and I'm sure those high end ones are much better than these budget models. I would say start out with an affordable model to see how it works.
I wonder if you bought a seprate IR torch if you could use that to cut back on the light showing from the goggles?
Are you trying to mod the binoculars? Why are you trying to do this?
@@Jay_Rule hey brother great video very in depth look I appreciate it. Not trying to mod you just said they put off light when in Night Vision mode. I was just curious if you used a ir torch that is "naked" to the human eye if that could be used to keep the goggles from giving away your position
I guess the easiest fix is to use some electrical tape around the area until it's not detectable by the human eye. Good luck.@@andrewcreason9300

Can you adjust the magnification and set it at 1x?
I think you can manually set it because I see that I had it at 1.7 at one time.
How? Just got mine for Christmas and couldn't find the setting. Believe it's currently at 4x. (Default)

Does this pick up IR light in IR mode? I have a seperate illuminator and beacon, just want to make sure they will work.

I can see other infrared cameras, and things like that. I don’t know if it’s a certain frequency, but as far as using another illuminator off another set of goggles or binoculars no neither of them show light from the other unless you’re looking at each other I don’t understand how that works, if someone could elaborate, that would be nice because I’m worried about it not being able to pick up a infrared laser
