@@barnack-gaming3504 Oh it's not the collisions that end the run. Most enemies get wrecked by the pulse itself. It's vacuuming all the _projectiles_ directly into your maw that ends the run in a snap.
Only one of the attacks make it really dangerous to get inside of station omega (second boss), if you know how to move you will be fine during the laser attack

Number 1 piece of advice for noobs. Learn to not hit your thrusters when you are getting shot at by a wide spray of fire. You just slam yourself head first into tons of bullets. Better to just tank a few and do what damage you can, than stop firing in order to try to dodge and just end up slam into the many.
soo...multishot doing 15 then a long pause. I wonder, in the time from the first bullet from the first burst to the first bullet of the second burst, what RoF increase would match the 15 bullets. Sure the burst is nice for massive instant damage, but if you can fire 15 bullets with just a small RoF buff over default, then you can choose to focus down one enemy or sweep the screen. Where the doubletap stacking would take that option from you AND stifle twitch shooting unexpected targets.
That is indeed how it works, and the Barrage supermod turns all of your burst fire into a single constant stream of death (that's why Barrage is so good)
Vortex is sadly TERRIBLE with high RoF or high projectile counts. It absolutely dies with Barrage as well. If you're doing Pulse with high double-tapping (and triple-tap) you generally want some Gemini Protocol, Omnishield, and Outrage Module such that you can trigger it by ramming (with low cooldown due to Outrage Module). Or just grab Phantom Strike, I suppose.
I had to isolate the values that represent the upgrades using the unknown initial value search and changed/unchanged then when I saw the upgrade I wanted I copied it to all the other upgrade options and locked them. It's hard to explain. I might do a write up on my discord if there's enough interest

Grandeur would just be infinite levels if you get rid of the fact that it can’t be in the mod pool after 2 levels

Vortex + extra projectiles is a run killer beaten only by vortex + polar inversion.
And followed by shockwave shield + polar inversion.
Vortex + Polar Inversion makes it become white hole that push everything. xd
