4:50 - I think letting the grepher go through is a lot better if he discarded stygian street patrol - if he discards stygian then he can banish it to summon a level 4 from hand even if you've negated the grepher, then you'd want to negate the archfiend that just got summoned + the rank 4. But because he discarded archfiend + still had a monster in hand (I don't think he should have set the spells before grepher because that gives you information) the only way he's summoning that other monster out his hand is if you let grepher send the stygian from deck. So if you negate grepher then you have another negate for the rank 4 if one of the sets is instant/soul charge/launcher.
at 5:50 you can breakthrough the dire wolf. You've seen that he added launcher + necro so the infernity line from there is activate launcher, discard necro, send launcher to summon archfiend + necro, search a trap then use necro to summon the second archfiend so you can actually make one of the archfiends be stuck useless as a material to the dire wolf. It matters a bit less in this scenario because grepher is on the field but sometimes that leaves them unable to make a rank 4, so they can't get the archfiend back in the grave to use necro. Sorry typing as I watch lol but I'm at 7 minutes in, yeah if you negated the grepher he doesn't break the board unless one of the sets is instant fusion or foolish burial. Soul charge for a single archfiend which doesn't activate because the other one is stuck in hand, make a rank 4 which you negate and then there's not a way to summon the other archfiend from hand.
Yeah it's hard to know if you've not spent a while playing the deck, the general rule is if they discard stygian they're probably able to summon something from their hand to make a rank 4, if they're discarding something else then if they don't have soul charge they really need that grepher to resolve.
Oscar. Maybe try rivalry over emptiness? Its also good going second to break boards or at any stage of the game when drawing it + its not as fragile. And ruins infernities spam party. Even against stuff like geargia its kinda good. Cause their monsters are small and u lock them only into gigant x, who isnt a threat by himself to your board. Also I think u counted LP correctly and should have won g1. I dont think i missed anything.
to what you were saying at the end i think the biggest pivotal moment was your big soul charge pop off turn, if you'd ended your board instead with something like felgrand, stardust/ stardust spark and draccosack he was probably undeniably cooked. you relinquishing the dust to a rank 8 freed him to interact with you more than he normally would have. i think felgrand stardust and draccosac would probably seal the win infernity can't play out of that
Negating Grepher seems risky because the gamestate is rich but imo it's the best move here (without knowing his initial hand obviously) since he discarded Archfiend so that suggests he needs to set up Stygian in grave to summon the Archfiend or Necromancer in his hand. It's not that negating Grepher ensures that he can't pop off but at least he needs to have extenders among the sets (should have kept those in hand in both games unless he wants to play mind games but he isn't) He'd have to draw a combination of Foolish, Instant Fusion, Soul Charge, Launcher in order to make something happen Sounds scary but it's not that likely actually I don't think there's other weak links you can exploit with just 2 imperm effects I didn't count LPs. you should check those again. And yeah in g2 that play with Upstart is illegal like others have pointed out
@ just to be clear I'm not saying you should always negate grepher haha for instance if they discard stygian for cost, they're more likely to pop off regardless so maybe you want to save the negate for later I can't really explain it, you just have to play the deck or against the deck for some time and you eventually get the feel for what the weak links in their plays are, depending on what they open with
Soul charge for 1 isnt shi he can exciton all he wants u can negate it as well Now if he 101 then soul charfe to exciton eh but still he out of cards and u got what 3 in hand
at 19:58 upstart goblin makes archfiend miss timing, the last thing to happen is the opponent gains 1000 life
I was about to say the same thing...
yeah can't do
I didn’t know

Yeah It’s a tough situation I need more practice vs Infernity for sure

Oscar with the leather jacket drip
🤣 it was freezing that day

Maybe I don’t play against Infernity enough so I don’t know what the optimal lines are

I didn’t know archfiend missed timing next time I may just negate the grepher I don’t have much experience playing against Infernity

Nah def should have stopped the grepher

Probably my inexperience vs experience Infernity hurt
