The Malinois is certainly way more intimidating than the Collie and much more useful when shit goes down. For home defence though, I would go with the bulkier German Shepherd... or a Pitbull. I really really pity whomever tries to get into this yard, because this black beast I've got is going to probably eat their liver out.
Problem with a Mal (and a collie) for me personally is just how extremely busy they are and it's hard to give them their fair share of play time. I just don't have the time to give either that amount of attention
Border collie because there the best out of any dogs all other dogs so lame
It's the mali always though I like collies too...
The course favors the smaller dog. Make the course with longer/higher jumps and increase the distance between objects and it will favor the malinois.
These are two different courses, and the Malinois had the long one.
No breed comes close to a Collie when it comes to a mixture of speed, agility and trainability. I love the Malinois and they do have different abilities that are better than the Collie, but in general it's the Collie for me all week long and twice on Sunday.
The biggest difference for me is with bc you dont have to get an experienced dog to teach it optimized movements, they just naturally figure out whats the best way to traverse different obstacles and terrains.
@@sailingonthoughts9594 I know it's kind of a cliché but the bc really is the smartest breed. Mix this with their agility and athleticism and their untouchable. They've been my breed since 2003 and they always will be.
@@bordercollie1140I would say that they are probably the two most high energy dog breeds that I know of. In terms of intelligence there is very little to choose between the two.
The difference comes in for what you want with the breed; the Collie is absolutely peerless as a herding dog and its ability to perform sharp turns is absolutely majestic.
But if you want a bunch of SEALs to go take out an ISIS bunker, there is no dog on God's Green Earth that will outperform the mighty Malinois.
@@randomlyfactual1943 True. But the video is about agility and I feel that the Malinois, or any breed for that matter, comes close to the Border in agility.
@@bordercollie1140 For these kinds of obstacles, yes, the Collie is peerless. That crazy side to side law action the Collie does to cross those beacons is almost too fast to comprehend.
When it comes to jumping ability though, I think the Malinois will have the win. I don't know if the Collie can do those crazy rooftop jump/wall scaling/tree running that the Malligator does
The border collie is the smartest breed if you train it well thw belgium malinois is quite smart aswell! The border collies felxebility is alot better cuz of its size bu there both amazing dogs,
Belgian malinois are the smartest dogs now according to new studies.
I’d rather watch these dogs run the same course
I have a border collie puppy and I got him at this January
nice
❤❤❤❤❤❤
My Belgium is so fast I used to hav
Rottweiler
border is smaller much and more agile.
no contest in this type of event.
So was the bc faster?
idk
The border collie looks much faster in the turns and being an obstacle course, there's mostly nothing but turns.
The two breeds are in two separate categories for this competition because they're not the same height. But the bc is the quintessential agility dog breed.
Belgian malions
Belgian manlions
I have a Belgium and they are def not for everyone, if you dont know how to handle a dog..
Border Collie 🔥🔥🔥
It's not the same test, different track and obstacles
My favourite is the border collie not only because it'so beautiful but because it's the smartest, far above any other breed. My female border passed away 18 months ago and I'm still waiting... because she was so smart, I can say I lost my best friend. As I'm getting older, I wonder if I can still have the energy required to help a border collie to be happy. We'll see...
BTW, I love the Malinois too; wonderful dog.
Check out the last inteligence study on dog breeds. Malis are recognized by far as the kings now.
i have both and they both lazy 😂🤣 big sweethearts tho
You have a border collie and a belgian that are lazy?
The dogs in this video aren't lol
Border collie is better this is my dog his names mikas
Not the same course.
Border collie is faster, smarter and much more beautiful
Border collies are not faster. There quicker a bit smarter and looks are anyones opinion
A mal can do anything a border collie can do but a border collie can’t be trained to everything a Mal can do.
@@alanb952 Shut up punk
Lol shut up belgian malinois Is faster and smarter MUCH MORE beautiful
@@famdewaal lol never. Only in your dreams... Border collie would beat him in a competition any day any time.
The Mali had 2 slight mistakes but is a much more athletic dog.
Gano el belga y eso que es más grande y pesado
belgian malinois are the kings of agility that's why they are king of police dogs
No, BCs win every agility competition. We like to keep the title within the breed 😉
what an awful music !
oh sorry lol
What a horrible song
this agility test is biased in favor of border collie skills. other tests the malinois can breeze through the bc could not even complete in.
Actually no, BC can do anything more superior than BM anytime any day
*Belgain Malinois* !!! If u put them into the fight Border Collie would be rip in like a seconds
but for agility most people think bc is better
but its ur opinion
Yeah but I dont think we are talking about who would win in an illegal dog fight. So that doesnt matter
🧠🤏🧠🤏🧠🤏
Bcoz they’re waaay less aggressive + it’s not the point of the vid
Why would you put them into a fight? Border Collies are probably smarter than you.
