- The cheap Cadillac Escalade engine swap is one of the most requested videos I've ever had. Everyday there are comments asking when it will be back, and here it is. We had to setup a new shop just to get this knocked out, all new lighting, tools, tool boxes... a lot had to happen to make this happen and now we're ready! The cheap 2011 Cadillac Escalade and its new L94 engine are ready to go, all that's left to do is take out some bolts and put them back in.

5:52 I learned a tip from Roadkill Garage. Before you remove a hood, take a Sharpie and draw around plates on each side where the bolts attach. When reattaching the hood, simply realign the Sharpie circle to the bolt plates, and your hood should be aligned, avoiding the trial and error fittings.
That's a very old trick that works well for a lot of things.

it's better to do all the orings in the ac system. the older ones will give out because the system is holding more pressure now.

@@Daermos He recorded the outro the night before in a non-jrgo shirt, and then did the morning after update with it on. Still not quite plugging his merch right haha

Escalade is sounding and looking good. Just need to tint the front 2 windows 35% so the rig has a more uniform look.
Yeah as long as he doesn't go too dark. I've learned watching a few police pursuit videos that the police assume your up to no good if your windows are so dark they can't see into your vehicle.
Need to check what the state has to say about allowed window tint before putting it on. Easy way to get a ticket.

I had a '10, '14, and '16. The earlier models were beasts and I loved them. The 6.2 was always evident and powerful. The '14 was my favorite. It was a Premium with body colored trim instead of chrome and dual exhausts. Almost sporty. The '16 was great. All high tech and all, but so quiet and subdued. Capable and comfortable, just not as much fun.

It's finally running and driving. It looks like another eight-plus hours of work, and the Escalade project will be complete. The big decision will be to sell or not to sell.

There is a lady that works a few shops down who would love to own an Escalade. I just recently detailed and polished out her 2011 Ford Escape, and after I got the black mold out that had accumulated in the rear carpets (where her child sits) she confided in me that it is her dream to own an Escalade. She was very sweet and actually took an interest in me for some odd reason, so I have been making sure her Escape looks as close to a "nice" Escape as you can get one to look since it will NEVER be an Escalade.

I thought I recognized Eric and his truck that got hit. I drove by that wreck after the police had arrived (North Meridian and the K96 ramp). The other truck was in worse shape it looked like to me.
I called it the smokers window in my old 88 Lincoln Town car
the hood sensor not being plugged in is why the remote start didn't work, its a safety feature.

I eould say, if you want the corvette to be interesting for your channel, you have to go real offroad build, cuz the corvette kart style has already been done many time.

The tuning software uses a credit system to configure and tune. You have to prepay $x for #x credits. Each thing you do costs credits and eats away at your bank
