X4 Foundations S2 E01 - 1 Million Credits (ish) in 30 minutes!

- Time to start a second season of X4 with a number of fixes in the 2.6 Beta, and the approaching Split Vendetta expansion, I thought it was time!
Actually, graphene production used to be graphite being pulled apart by tape, but now we have better ways of doing it. The fact that making graphene requires methane tells me that they are basing it on a process where you burn a hydrocarbon in a depleted oxygen environment, causing graphene to be deposited on the wall of the burn chamber. It can then be chemically removed from the burn chamber.
They might also be using something called a Bosch reactor. If you heat up CO2 and hydrogen to 650c in the presence of certain catalysts, the carbon from the CO2 will deposit on the catalyst as graphene and the oxygen will form water vapor. the water can then be split into hydrogen and oxygen, recycling the hydrogen. Methane and oxygen burned together create CO2 and water.
When claiming ships, I also noticed that there's a data leak type object that you need to repair with your suit or the ship may be booby trapped. For me it destroys the shields and weapons but leaves hull untouched.
I am very interested to see if the economy/war is actually finally fixed. I hope that once it gets sorted ES goes in and, as far as I'm concerned, finishes the ships. The difference (or lack of) ship design between X3 and X4 is striking. It really felt to me like they just didn't finish the game and ended up using the same models with slight modifications as place holders.
Yes, there's a quartet of popular mods that makes a lot of updates in that area, but before I use them, I'd like to see how the base game is progressing - hopefully we don't need them :D

Also It's good to turn of cokpit (ctrl-H) and HUD (shift-H). With F3 you can skip to target camera, and yes you can see "blinks" from that camera.
I was able to farm about 4M in 1h.
I would like to see you claim one of the unclaimed sectors and start building ships to fight back the Xenon.

That's what I did on my recent playthrough. I might have gotten "carried" away since I ended up producing 1 carrier every 10 minutes. The trade and manufacturing empire I created consisted of 5 mega stations and well over 1k ships, mainly M ships. All components created inhouse. Then FPS became an issue and I started the war over FPS... With everyone. It went well at first. Went from 13 fps to 17. The enemy had made a secret weapon, unfortunately. The deadly CTD torpedo. Long story short. I won the battles but lost the war. :(
Hi Grayduster, just thought I mention this, if you new to game and you haven't found the sectors, in between the shipyard and black hole sun vi at start you can start guidance to object and go into autoflight it will take you through the quadrants. without looking for the highway. Helps alot of people out if they started the main plot to get a new ship.
Like you, I've also had a break from X4. Still waiting for the Split expansion to get back into it. I have gone in the other direction and started Elite dangerous for the first time. Quite different in many ways, I have been a staunch X-Universe player since they began. Not sure which I prefer most now ! I do wish Freelancer had been updated .
Aah, good old Space Truck Simulator, Elite Dangerous :D (yes, there's combat, but I always found myself trucking stuff around)!

please more of this and maybe 45 min? I liked your first season and I learned so much from being unable to get into that game. Had an early version of the x-games and never played more than one hour. Now I have 176 hours inthe game. Give it another go now, got to install it again.
Graphene and Graphite are not the same thing, same element (carbon) but different structure.

2 hours is too long... I only get 1 hour lunch breaks and it gives me something to do :)
You can do that in 15 min, collecting Spice Flys in Grand exchange and get more than 1 M credits, but few more
Has this been nerfed since? 1 million in 30 minutes seems improbable now, unless you are very lucky.
Very new to the game, wondering how you're flying so fast and auto flying through gates at 30:30 and onwards?

i just got like 300 mil / h .... but thats thanks to 300 ships that mine/trade for me ... im playing it more like strategy game with my now 5FPS .... need new rig, FX 6300 is nt going to play it well :D
You could try swapping out any M ships for less L ships? :)
@@grayduster my rooster is like 15% S, 20% L, and 55% M .... and going full L would create bottlenecks in my opinion cause many stations may only have 1 dock for L ships and not many drones where you can always dock multiple M ships at a time ... also at ExpertAutomine many ships go and trade betven multiple sectors, where L ships are slower

1 mil in 30 min? Even with a new save and no mods i can make at least 2 mil in 20 min. Pathetic.
If you mean by crystal mining, it's just luck on what you find :)
