My Japanese is pretty rusty but at ~11:30 they ask everyone whether or not they have kids, and when they ask Junko why she doesn't have kids, she says that she'd rather have a Tamagotchi lmao

Hi. I'm the guy who recorded this from tv in 1997 and a few years later ripped it on digital and uploaded it on UA-cam. I encourage you to save it somehow if you don't wanna loose it. It's very likely that at some point it will be taken down by the society that deals with the copyrights of the host of the program. The one I uploaded MANY years ago was taken down after a few months. After a while it popped up again, uploaded by another user. It was taken down again. Then again someone else uploaded it. And so on. Thank you to the uploader for making it available again! The show is really a killer one and needs to be seen! It's actually disturbing that both the host and the traslator are constantly mocking the band the whole time, but if you don't speak italian you probably don't get it. Years ago I've personally spoken with members of C.C.C.C. and Hijo Kaidan that told me they didn't even know they were being mocked...they found out long after the show, from people telling them. No need to say it...they were pissed about it! In any case this was not something you could see every day on italian tv...so, either way, kudos to the redhead!
I wouldn't say that they were really moked. That was the natural and instinctively reaction of the moment, it could be reasonable for people who never have listened such noise before! That translator seems really interested too. And it's really unusual for every TV all over the world, not only in Italy, to send something like this.
The name of this italian TV show was "Roxy Bar" Being italian I can let you know most comments from the italian public in this footage are along the line of "this is shit, japanese are crazy, this is not music, please make it stop" only a few of them were open to the experience, while the host (Red Ronnie) tells bad jokes about them and his bearded friend who translates to / from Japanese is letting everyone know he's cool because he's the best collector of japanoise CDs and force his little daughter to listen to them.
@@odakyuodakyu6650 I wouldn't say "fascist poets" Luigi Russolo was a futurist artist (painter, builder, musician...). It's not so easy, they were avantgarde artists, probably the firts real avantgarde. In early times most of them were anarchists and socialist, but at the time the Mussolini was the main socialist politician and than his socialism turned to fascism. It's impossible to say fascist-artists, it's relly more complicated. We should talk about what happened about culture and society in Italy, Europe and than in the World in those times.
i am italian and I was born when this aired, and this is honestly unbelievable. both super fascinating and hilarious at the same time. it's so crazy that they actually aired this. i love this so so so much!!
Interestingly, 1997 was when I first got into Japanoise. It was February, and I listened to this very band, C.C.C.C. and their album FLASH. Blew my mind, and changed everything for me!
It's great to see how people totally unaccustomed to Noise absolutely don't get it first but in participating they start to have fun aswell. Great show! 🙂
Oh, a lot of people have told me that I only listen to 'noise' when I'm actually listening to black/death/grind metal but I wanna know what would they say if I put them this record lmao. I honestly don't get the point of the genre, but is amazing to see the comments and notice how many people enjoy it;)
Typically there is a road that one has to take to get into this genre, and it often starts with noisy music, whether noise rock, noise punk, or even stuff like black metal or doom gaze. Eventually you work your way down the path and arrive at pure noise. To give you an example of how this music impacts me - I just saw this video for the first time today, as a noise fan of many months and years, and it brought me to tears. The intensity and the expression.
I can understand Italian, is that a live chat they show at 7:31 and then again later? That's really cool for 1997, pretty much as cool as this friggin show! waaaaaahhhhahahahhhhh yah yah yahhhh !
I've been at that tv show in '96 or '97 with my school class! Crazy times, yes it was the first internet chat seen in my life, people from home chatted with the guests...
it makes sense to have such comments if you show that music to people who listen to mainstream music.. funny thing is that Italy has some great harsh noise scene
Around 2:30 the translator says that the previous day they had played at Link and the next day at Rivolta, which are two of the most Active and known italian squats. All this aired on national TV. And nowadays the presenter is a chauvinist lol

Was it worth it considering how disrespectful and closed minded everyone was?
how hahah tell us more
I love how Mayuko Hino just flat out encourages the audience to scream along.
Japanoise concerts need more audience participation like that.
Look how much fun they're having. That's the essence of noise, not music, just noise and anyone can have fun creating it.

The program was “help”, hosted
by Red Ronnie; many independent and unordinary music, especially for Italy in that era.
