Pol is just one of a kind. I know that the Ténéré 700 is a great bike but it also takes a talented rider to get this performance down. Well done and great video!

Dude… I hope I don’t have to do that. I was woken up with a shock when I dropped my t7 at a stop. Once it starts to go down it’s like a tree.

Its only 50lbs heavier than an mt07? What other adventure bike is under 500lbs?
Pol is a machine and with so much fine balance overall .....always blows my mind. With I'm sure 699 of the other bikes weighed at least 50 kg/ 110 lbs less .....

Tenere 700; what a beast of a bike. Had a 1996 CR650. Heavy bikes, but great torque.
Pol is a world-class rider, but also being 2 meters tall helps manage such a big bike

People like Pol Tarres and Toni Bou (are there any others?) really do show that almost any well prepped close-to-standard ADV mount is massively capable. Modern bikes are truly incredible and watching Bou and Tarres ride them is a joy.

Only one note: in the beginning Pol insisted that his T7 should be as close to stock as possible , but this is not the case anymore.
His suspension for example is brutal now.
A 450lbs. bike, yeah he has very stiff springs. Needs them. Heck, I have a KTM 450 xcw and have 2 size larger springs than stock. I weigh 210 lbs and use to ride hard. Maybe go down a rate cause of my age.
‘ Factory Suspension ‘ is more important than a ‘ Factory engine ‘ in this racing!

I still haven't found out why this man rides the T7 instead of enduro bikes. Does he prefer the T7 over smaller more agile enduro bikes or is it some kind of bet? Publicity/sponsorship?

It just takes a little time to adjust to a big bike like this, then it's just as easy. Things just happen slower. Not saying I'm any good lol 😝
Your right, going from a 450 enduro to a T7 takes practice, forward momentum is more important and it takes more commitment on hill climbs.
@@JohnSmith-ef8nr yeah definitely, as for hill climbing I like the going up part just not the coming down so much, as the brakes don't seem to do much at all. Just got to know where your going before you get there. 😆

T700 in Stock is immposible to ride in this Race in this Speed. You have to spend so much money in better parts in that Bike....and we are Not like Pol.
imagine he is been on this t7 long enough and he switched to ktm 2stroke. imagine how easy for him to handle the 2stroke which is 1 times lighter than this t7.

new t7 owner here. been riding enduro on a ktm 300 for 10 years. this bike looks so out of place in this race, kind of like watching a 300 do trials. just because it can, doesnt mean that it should. At least not something "normal" riders should attempt
