Yeah, If I nail one in the scrub south of Darwin the rest scatter and I wont see them again until tomorrow. So glad they are creatures of habit though.
Unfortunately in Australia we can't get semiauto. Pump centrefire is already pushes the boundaries of the standard licence. Pump action shotguns are restricted category C (farmers etc).
Great review mate. I did some Glock armorer training with Nioa some years back. A great bunch of people and like yourself, very professional. Keep up the great vids.
Nice explanation Nathan. I was unsure on my feelings on this Beast, but the more i watched the more i liked it and i loved the forward assist on the action too. The only thing i found dissapointing was the mag Compacity . Once again Great Vid.
Nice looking spud chucker and a good review. I actually have a Remington 7600 in 35 Whelan and tend not to notice the slide sound after letting fly. Sambar I got last week didn't notice either 😂👍🏻
Well done mate. The most professional presentation I've seen from you yet. Having a camera operator is going to really boost your base. All that aside I used to shoot rabbits as a young fella with a Browning pump action. Same dog different leg action but I respect the breakdown review as well. Keep em coming. Hunter Valley
Hello, how are you, I'm from Uruguay and I have the semi-automatic 308, my bars broke right after I bought them, and now I want to buy one with a trombone, and I see that it also has the same bars, do you recommend it, thank you
Sounds like a typical Australian pump action (they aren’t the best) Fully understand what you mean with the Remington 7600, I had one and nothing good to say about it. Hard to cycle, without the pistol grip really had to put you eye/face so close to the sights. Once I shot it with out ear protection and have quite bad tinnitus from it 😢 Only good if you had blocks where running into mobs of pigs ect at close range
Late to the party, we’ve been looking at rifles capable of decreased reloading time for a few years. We looked at this when it was released solely for pigs, the down side was the 4 round mag that the pump slides over the top of making it impossible to increase capacity (a must when your in a big mob). We’re waiting for the release of the Win SRX 2 to evaluate but could go shortly on a Wedgetail MPR. Hunts firearms for 12 months have been going to release a push button .223 (PB223) in the same cast as their Buckmaster shotty’s then a 308 version at a later date but it seems to be stalled at the bureaucratic authoritarian government level. Seriously thinking MPR…….
Pump action centre fire rifles have always been ok to own in Australia..But what grinds my gears is why not a pump action shotgun? There is completely no reason why or justification why, these are made up laws researched from Hollywood movies. Same with suppressors, in my opinion a suppressor should be legally available to anyone with an A B firearms license..😡
Perhaps a pathway is to talk about noise limits in decibels with the govt, as opposed to just "suppressors". There is a reasonable justification in noise reduction for environmental reasons, to reduce impact on nearby properties and native fauna.
Well said! They want the feral population controlled but make it as hard as possible for every day hunters to make a dent. Then go and poison them like it’s a better option.
generally Australian snakes move away from you. The snakes are mostly found near the dams & creeks looking for frogs. They are protected too, so no 410’s 🦘🇦🇺
Nice video, but huntingwise I do like the Australian landscape, outback forest... but as a European hunter, in such vast territories why don't you use gun dogs like spaniels or setter to help stalk, find and spot the game ?
You might have got a rifle that was chambered towards the very end of the factory reamer's useful life. That would cause a chamber on the small end of allowable specs and it would be tighter fitting rounds into.
Were I live in Australia I have a crazy Farrel animal problem so I always use my 300 Winchester Magnum and I have to say the cats and rabbits get ripped in two and it's awesome because means my wife are allergic to cats none stop allergies coughing and sneezing so and I hate cats I'm a dog person
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK your a figure on you tube maybe think before making jokes. I don't give a fu#k to be honest. Just maybe think before making such comments. The world has turned into a proper butt hurt society.
What amazes me is the density of ferals, I have done culling north of Perth years ago. However, did not come across that many foxes and pigs.
Quite a few in the hills around my area. But heli culling has been pretty heavy lately.

I really like my AR15........that being said.........I grew up on a pump 12 gauge and a pump 22lr
This rifle looks awesome 👌👌 🤠😎🤠😎🤠😎🤠
Any chance you can Mail me a 80% lower? 😉
@@willknight1005 I wish 🥲

Once again mate, thank you for your information an perspective on what you are using 🤙
No problem 👍
am glad us left handers are being considered nowadays
Apparently we are weirdos 😂😂😂😂😂
Yep, getting unisex toilets around as well😉
Nice work on the explanation. I agree with your conclusions. You did very well getting a standing walking hunt in day time that was impressive.
Thanks Jay 👍🏻
Nice looking rifle, with some cool features
Cheers for the upload

Glad you enjoyed it Jim

“Spring assisted outstroke” only you Nathan…. only you! 🤣🤣
Of course 😎
lovely Ep and helper spring would be great
Makes a big difference I found
Looks like a good peace of kit I think I’d stay with my .223 bolt or 30-30 leaver action never been a huge pump action rifle fan
If I was offered one I'd take it.
Nice clean review. Cheers.
*EDGE of the OUTBACK* Bravo well done, thank-you sir for taking the time to show us. GOD Bless.
Thanks for watching!
My gun cupboard badly needs expanding ... thanks for a potential space taker review !!!
Happy to help chew real estate in there Paul 😎
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK Gotta meet you one day Nathan 🙂🙂
awesome vid.. every time… thanks bro…
Glad you enjoyed it
Was waiting for this video to come out after seeing the earlier teaser and wondering how it would go.
Hope it helped in some way 👌

I bet it didn't 💪
Only time I didn't feel the recoil was when I was shooting 🦌 Deer!!!
Sold it to a 🫎 Moose Hunter, I heard he never parted with it.

Thanks Brad, fun fact is I only self filmed this. A decent cameraman would be mint but a pipe dream at this stage 👌
@EDGE of the OUTBACK well you produced a great episode. Take care mate..
Great video
Thanks!
How TF do you see anything in that spinifex grass... 😳
Lots of listening when you're in it. And sight the animals from an angle or opposite face of possible.
Another interesting review thanks for sharing 🦘

😂 Long ago 😎
Awsome. Wish NSW had acccess to the scary looking australian made pumps.
Hopefully we do soon enough 🤞

Mate, just wondering what projectiles you use mainly for 308 pig loads. no subsonics please.
Normally I run 150gr Hornady SST's 🤙
rem 22lr pump had same problem with comb being to low.
dose it come with 2 mags
It only is supplied with one magazine

because of movies pump action shotguns seem scary and are related to organized crimes by those who don't know anything about firearms.
Cheers from a Weirdo.
Thanks mate
How do you walk through that tall dry grass without worrying about snakes?
generally Australian snakes move away from you. The snakes are mostly found near the dams & creeks looking for frogs. They are protected too, so no 410’s 🦘🇦🇺
The trick to walking around and not worrying about snakes, is to walk around and not worry about snakes 😎
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK your logic is sound!

Some people hunt with dogs. But with this volume you wear them out pretty quickly.
Thanks for the video very nice rifle for putting them down. Take care of yourself and family and be Blessed ❤️❤️👍.
Thanks Michael 👌
way better than str8 pull
A great review, but being a lefty I would find it great left or right. 👍
I think you would 👌
What red dot did you use or recommend for it ?
I just had a Vortex but there's heaps of options
You might have got a rifle that was chambered towards the very end of the factory reamer's useful life. That would cause a chamber on the small end of allowable specs and it would be tighter fitting rounds into.
My Ruger may also have a larger chamber too. I had some factory ammo so all good.
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK Yeah, that could be the case too. Good review either way bro.
Can you purchase a extended magazine for it ?
I'm not sure, but perhaps your local dealer might be across that.
@@EDGEoftheOUTBACK I will ask 4 just isn’t enough 10 magazine would be excellent
You are limited to a 4 shot mag as the slide runs past the magazine, what a shame
Will it slam fire?
No firearm should TBH.
what earmuffs are you using?
Just some Caldwell electronic things I was given. Sorry not sure on the model.
If it's legal in NSW it's legal everywhere 😅
Kinda true... Except a lot of the WA nonsense 😞
Only reason it’s perfect is because they don’t allow as Rec hunters semi autos 😢😂
Just don’t understand small capacity mags on pumps. Give me a 30-30 lever or bolt gun with a ten round mag. Good video but.

Why make a derogatory comment towards left handers like that? bit disrespectful of ya?
Take it in the spirit it was given, Nathan doesn't mind a bit of banter 🙂🙂 P.S I'm a left-hander too ..

Nice rifle and great shooting, certainly stopped the target, only used pump actions in range shoots prefer 308 or 243 with hunting 👍
