    This is why I love UA-cam. Free learning opportunities from old timers who know their stuff.

    Hey Peter! It's looking great. Really enjoying watching this come together. Nice to see the guides are so decent; the engine is going to be a peach! All the best from us here... I think I'll have to fire mine up after watching this, haha! Oh...Frankers sends her regards to Annie and her crew!

    The small mower/brushcutter engines are actually easy because you can compress the springs with your finger.

    Do keep in mind that those motors came from the factory with a rather thick coat of clear so painting the motors is no issue if you want to do that. Also consider polishing the intake and exhaust ports you have that dremel like tool and it works pretty good for that sort of thing. Just a thought.

    • @PeterAndersons
      @PeterAndersons  6 років тому

      And a good thought too... I didn't notice the roughness in the ports until after I assembled it... Cheers

    • @ocavant
      @ocavant 5 років тому

      @@PeterAndersons The roughness is left by the factory to help tumble the incoming air. IMO leave the surface texture.

    Looking good Peter. Summit racing spring compressor - Powerhouse Products POW351062 AUD $563.90 ouch ! Cant wait to see the engine red lining on the wooden sled !

      Bugger... really? I asked him but all he said was that he bought it when the AUD was even with USD, a little while ago now. Cheers

    I am loving the progress mate - well done, looking forward to hearing it run, I'm guessing three videos from now - not finished but running.

      Yes mate and you're probably right - 3 videos from now... I was back at it tonight, nearly ready for pistons and barrels... made a few tools for the installation as well. Cheers

    Hi Peter, found one of those funky taillights you put on Dave's XL, in my shed. Yours if you or Dave want it. Great videos, attention to detail, and excellent info.

    when that little ozito wire brush has just about had it, why not try get some 0000 gauge steel wool and wrap it around the end and see if that will help get into the tight spots?

    FYI couldn't be f&ged is prolly way more offensive than couldn't be f*@ked these days if some overly politically correct person hears it. I don't care, but if your attempt was to say something safer than swearing you might find that it ends up worse. I don't think your audience cares either way but something to think about.

    • @PeterAndersons
      @PeterAndersons  6 років тому

      Indeed and I never thought of that, although the context wasn't relevant to the gay community... thanks for pointing that out. Cheers

    • @Commander_ZiN
      @Commander_ZiN 6 років тому

      Peter Anderson no problem, I could tell you didn't mean anything by it and that you try to keep things tame. I personally don't care and would almost prefer you were more colourful, however I can watch your vids infront of my kids which is a cool bonus from time to time. I hope I didn't come across as nit picking, just trying to be helpful. Your videos are pretty awesome, I might be crazy but I prefer the longer ones and enjoy the talking, so you don't need to apologise for the length or anything for that matter. Thanks :)

      British English fagged means to be tired and it most certainly predates the US English derogatory insult towards the gay community. If some PC moron tries to have a go tell them to refer to the O.E.D and to be more careful of others cultural background, as that's very un PC. haha

    • @Commander_ZiN

      Monica Truong haha I didn't know about that, I only knew of the noun for ciggarettes. A bit before my time I guess, I normaly hear people say couldn't be stuffed, @rs*d or f@*ked, never heard f**ged before. I don't even think it's a swear word, although I dunno much about it. Anyway I wouldn't care if he swore, maybe I'm a little too worried about what others might think.
