    Great! Best Raymond Burr movie I have seen. Nice to see him play a good guy too, instead of a heavy or killer. Angela Lansbury also really good. Thanks for finding this one and posting it!

    Notice that slanted camera angles when the reporters were talking. This film has a great cast of fine character actors.

    my childhood places Angela Lansbury as the detective of Murder She Wrote, its so funny and fitting to see her in a film noir as a murder suspect lol love these movies!

      She was always so pretty even into old age.. Librans usually are apparently, if not angelic looking with lovely voices too. Great film... Raymond Burr exceptional as always.😊.

    Raymond Burr looking as slim & trim (for him) as he ever did in the movies.

    On top of all that, there's the wonderful Madge Blake as the maid. Most people remember her as Aunt Harriet on the BATMAN tv series, but she and her husband also worked on the Manhattan Project during WWII.

    Raymond Burr, perennial louse and bad guy, shows he can be convincing as refined good guy as a competent attorney. Maybe this role impressed the right people to consider him for his soon to be iconic run as Perry Mason.

    I like Angela as a heavy more than Mame, a detective writer or anything. She's got "evil, narcissistic bitch"down cold here. Lamont Johnson (Carl) is so beautiful here.

    I like low budget ‘B’ movies and films noir; great actors, all but the plot, the script, the cinematography are very amateurish. More like a ‘C-‘ than a ‘B’.

    Far fetched for you, once upon a time in America before we became ungodly and was a exceptional country living in fear of our God peaple were honest for the most part, everything was of the highest standards because we Americans would not stand for less like places in mexico or other 3rd world poopholes, these old movies i would hope would egucate the foreign masses moving here recently to what we once were how this nation was founded ect tall order i know.

      I agree that these older classic movies are not far fetched at all! All you have to do is turn on the TV to see that with hundreds of channels there is practically nothing of any value to watch, both television and movies have been in a steady decline for the last several years. Mainly because they want to give people what they want which is sex, graphic violence and swearing for some reason. Why people find this entertainment is beyond me. Luckily there are still a few classic movie and TV stations and I am not saying every movie is bad, it is just getting harder to find quality movies among the new ones coming out. I have always been a fan of the older classic movies and shows since I was very young. I don't know if anyone noticed but besides Turner Classic Movies, Fox Movie Network has also been showing a tremendous amount of what they call retro movies. Very good ones that Turner doesn't usually show. I think they just started this recently I only noticed a couple a month before and now they have several so check it out if you like this sort of thing :) I do have some new shows I watch as well but as I said just have always been a big fan!!!

      Guy Azbell An exceptional country - Really? Hypocrites and children more like. Only a few years before this movie was made your exceptional countrymen were hanging innocent men from trees, photographing them and selling the images as souvenirs! What makes America great: probably its ability to hide from the truth - bit like a child or a criminal.

    • @bluenetmarketing
      @bluenetmarketing 6 років тому +1

      You are right, Guy Azbel. Will - It was the Demonrats who were doing the hanging, and starting the KKK, and all the other anti-black terror in the South. Get your history straight. People like you want to destroy the decent side of the history of this country by falsely implying that it is based on things that 99% of us had nothing to do with and deplored. It won't work with me and those who know better.

    movie was very entertaining but way way way too far feched

    • @rodgeralford7932
      @rodgeralford7932 7 років тому +3

      Dominic Piscopo Nothing should be far fetched to someone who lives in a country that's elected a reality TV star for leader of the free world.

    • @Shinybuddies
      @Shinybuddies 7 років тому +2

      +Dominic Piscopo - since when has "far feched" been a valid criticism of a piece of fiction? Stories don't have to be plausible to be good - they have to be interesting, or entertaining, or moving, or thought-provoking, or surprising, or thrilling, or . . . . but plausible? No - most the greatest stories ever written are "far fetched" - always have been, and I hope they always will be
