- This has to be one of the nastiest rugs i have ever washed. Inscets were pouring out of it when i rolled it out .
There was a mysterious purple stain on it (i still dont know what it was) that wouldnt come out and i feel i failed a bit on this one.
Anyone know what it could have been , please let me know.
All in all though i thought it was a huge transformation. I hope you enjoy 😀

My absolute favorite part of your videos is when you put the hose under the rug & keep scraping. Great work & it definitely was NOT a fail!
Thanks again Justine. That seems to be a fan favorite so i will do this every time. Plus i just think ist the best way to rinse all the remaining dirt out. Hope you are well 👍
@@MountainRugCleaning I love that part too. Rinsing and seeing how the pressure washer shoots the dirt off the rug are my ultimate favorites!
@@april-spring I love it all tbh but i love how everyone has their favourite bits.
@@MountainRugCleaning love how you do it a second time now. I fall asleep to ur vids
Love the hose under also!!!
I love that you take things nice and slow, really working in the shampoo and thoroughly using the equipment. Most other rug channels fly the machines over the rug and it does nothing. Normally pushes all the shampoo off leaving the rug dry.
Anyone else finding it bizarre that there are „carpet cleaning channels“? 😂 I don’t know either how I came down that rabbit hole 😂
My favorite tools that he uses is the brushy thingy, the scrape thingy, and the vacuum thingy
I too love the thingys 😀
@@nopee5619 😂👍🏾
The rotary brush is where the bulk of the dirt is lifted off and shows the brighter colours 👍
@@Keithbarber thx
lolololololol
I like it that you do a first wash then wait a bit and go over it again before squeegeeing off the shampoo - gives the shampoo more time to do the work, and less wasteful.
Exactly right 👌
Just a thought about the purple stain. I used to be a district nurse and sometimes we had to wash peoples legs with potassium permanganate solution. We had to protect carpets and furnishings really well as any spills would stain purple with zero chance of getting the stain out! Great job though 👍
Thanks. I definitely think some kind of reaction has gone on there. I thought maybe urine had reacted with the wool. Im still not sure.
I don't know how I found your videos but I love them! I use your videos and Restoration videos to fall asleep and I gotta say yours are becoming my favorites ^_^ I love the subbing machine thing you have, it's always my favorite part to see you use it! By far the best Carpet Cleaning channel I've seen!
❤😊
You are doing a great job. I see more people are subscribing. Congratulations! I found you when you had maybe 100 people. You are getting more thorough with each video. I love watching👍 Have a great new year!.
Thank you so much for being around since the begining. Im taking on alot of advice from followers, so i hope i am improving. I think the year will be busy. Have a happy new year
This was a great wash, and I enjoyed the new equipment you brought into this video🤩 The rug looks so much better now! Have a wonderful 2022!!
Thank you! 🤗Yes i though i better give the crb a whirl. Not used it uet as i wasnt sure it was satisfying to use in the videos. Have a nice day and happy new year.
Agreed 👍

@@MountainRugCleaning The CRB (if that's the square machine at 30:30) has one of the most relaxing hums. I also love the actual brushing rhythm sound.
What a difference between this and your first video! You have improved your method 1000% Very fun to watch, and a great result!
Thank you! Cheers! Yeah i look back at that first video and it was messy lol. Hopefully i can improve even more 🙏
The before and after are pretty spectacular! Wonderful work sir!
Thank you very much! Itll be sorely mussed that rug. I liked it.
This rug must have massive sentimental value because I can’t explain any other reason why you wouldn’t bin it instead.
I asked myself that about the maggot infested one
Because it's satisfying for people to see rugs go from disgusting to clean. He does a great job!
@@heatherhodges2337 I’m pretty sure they’re talking about the original owners.
Often people will try and claim for an old thing on their home insurance, but the insurers will put the price up for you and have it 'professionally cleaned' and avoid paying out.
This rug is cheap and has low value. No one would pay to have it cleaned; it would cost a lot more that what it’s worth. They find those rugs in the trash or dirty them themselves just for the sake of getting views on this channel. I haven’t seen one nice rug get cleaned; always very cheap rugs that remain stained somewhat.
Woah poor little bugs lol
Rug looks great! You didn’t fail at all!
Love the new crb machine 🙌🏽💕
I hope you continue to put the hose under the rug it’s so satisfying to see all the dirt come out when scraping it 😍🥰
No caterpillars were harmed in the making of this video ! Lol Oh yes ill continue to do that, dont worry 😉
I LOVE THAT LAST TECHNIQUE OF PUTTING RUNNING HOSE UNDER THE RUG WHILE YOU SQUEEGEE! you should patent that method. I’ve never seen it done in other cleaning company videos.
Yeah its a really great way of rinsing out all the dirt.
Ewwwww. You gave those bugs a spa day! 😂😬 I wouldn't believe you if you told me the rug at the end was the same rug from the start. Excellent job saving this one. ❤👏🙌
Haha i dont think any survived. Yeah this was a big transformation.
I have a hard time believing that someone could allow their rugs to get that bad and then ask you to get them back to pristine condition.
Some do 💁
You should watch hoarders.
Loving this video James, perfect 👌 you did a phenomenonel job 🐛🐛🙌🙌🙌
Thanks Pam. Im glad you enjoyed it. I loved the transformation on this rug.
Awesome cleaning!👏👏👏 Found you while scrolling through comments on Jacob’s channel. I was impressed with your nice comments and professional respect. Keep up the great work!
Thanks so much! 😊 I always aim to be as professional and respectful i can. Even when i get the not so nice comments. Nice to get good ones like yours though. Thanks for watching
I think we can all agree that carpets should not be crunchy. Yuck! Another great job. You’re one of my favorite two rug cleaners. I hope the CRB means your business is growing; you deserve it.
Oh thank you! I love that im one of your favourites. Let me guess who the first is 🤔😂😂
Crunchies are no problem. The bigger chunks can be sandblasted first.😁
You are the professional, and I'm sure you have some great, high powered soaps/detergents. But, I just kept thinking "I bet I could get that white again with some Borax, peroxide, and blue Dawn dish detergent..." lol. Maybe just wishful thinking.
Hey James,
Thanks for the new video! New Year and a new batch of rugs to wash! Great job! Cheers, mate! 😀🧼🧽🌊💫
Happy new year Steven. Thankyou. I think business will be busy this year. Hope you enjoy.
Wow 43:10 YOU ARE LITERALLY THE ONLY PERSON IVE EVER SEEN ACTUALLY TURN AROUND AND GET THE TOP OF THE RUG ... EVERY CHANNEL ALWAYS FOCUSES ON THE HALF OF THE RUG!!! MAD RESPECT TO YOU!!!
You did an amazing job!! Love the new machine!
Thanks so much!! Ill have to feature it a bit more in the videos 😁
I always love it when you do an intro 😅
Who knew rug cleaning was so fascinating and satisfying. Excellent job! I’ve noticed in videos, that cleaning the backside with the machines really pushes the dirt towards the surface of the pile and gets so much dirt out. I look at my wall to wall and wonder how much dirt would come out of that! 🤪 that glass of milk I spilled doesn’t help matters much.
Thankyou, you wouldn't want to know the colour of the water that comes out of your fitted carpets 😳🤣 Glad youre enjoying the rug cleaning 😊
Words that you never expected to be heard together, “Satisfying Rug Washing Video!”

Only the brushing and raking ? 😏🤣
You know darn well I love it all, I just thought the brushing and raking was an extra special touch 🥰

Saw new crb machines 👌✨.I really love the process ✨✨✨! Did amazingly, James
Glad you enjoyed it! Ive had the crb for a while just never got around to using it. I wasnt sure if it was nice to add to the videos.
@@MountainRugCleaning but it help raise the pile ✨ esp for shaggy rugs… unless you want to use the brush 👍. Its up to you.
@@imisskahi Yes it definitely helped raise the pile and clean deep in the shaggu rug. Glad i used it.
Love the rug nice and filthy the better good CRB action. I love how you brush off the rest of the residue off the tub always 🙏🏼❤️🧼🔥🧽💪😍
Well i learned that from you guys. To always clean as i go. I have some really dirty rugs coming up so im sure you will like them 😉
You say in the description that you feel you "failed a bit" on this rug. I disagree, this was a great success! The stain isn't a big deal, and it's not that noticeable unless you're looking for it. There is a product called "Goo Gone" you could have tried that may have possibly gotten it out or lightened it a bit, but I think most likely it was a permanent stain.
Thankyou very much
Please put googly eyes on the werid carpet cleaner machine

Excellent job! I enjoyed watching how you put the water under the rug- it released so much dirt that way. Also how you combed through the fibers. Very satisfying to watch the transformation. You need a bigger workspace so you have more room to push that water away easier. Thanks for the video!

Wow, best one yet and you used the SEBO, freakin awesome vid!
Thanks a ton! Why do you think it was the best for you ? Ill be using the sebo more often from now on.
@@MountainRugCleaning the whole process was there, the thick suds from scrubbing, the hose under the rug for rinsing, the sebo was a fantastic bonus as you could see it really lifting the rug, scrubbing the underside of the rug was perfect too. All you need now is a stiffer bristled brush and you’ll be doing perfect videos all the time 🙂 I have to admit as well, I appreciate that you don’t do all the twirling of your squeegee pole too, I find that kind of childish, but that’s just me.
@@alinapepe9748 I see youre a pro at this because ive been thinking i need a stiffer brush for ages. Ill get that soon just need the time to really look at some brushes and i guess im all set after that haha
James, get your sign back down on the floor it's makes it more professional looking for you. Your really picking the pace and perfection up with your work and doing a fantastic job there at MCC. More power to you fella and success ! You've definitely developed your own style and your so thorough, the only way is up.

Another great video James 😍 you’ve gone from strength very quickly and the results are amazing 👍 I certainly didn’t think you could get that rug up to standard but you did a cracking job on it 😁 Absolutely loving the brushing part as you go in all directions to really work the soap in 😍Great machinery sounds on this one too…. I'm late to the game, I know, but I have enjoyed your recent videos so much I am going back and watching your older ones. This rug looks to me like the rugs my dad laid in his garage to help keep the concrete garage floor clean and nice. Could that purple stain be automotive fluid of some kind, perhaps transmission fluid? You have probably figured this out by now, but thought I'd chime in just in case. Thanks for the wonderful videos!
Glad you like them!
If I was living in the UK I would love to apply to work for you as I love cleaning carpets, rugs and other floorings. I am an American citizen who lives in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA and I have some experience in the cleaning industry. I learned how to clean while serving in the United States Navy and I have experience in using the same equipment that you use to scrub your rugs with such as floor stripper/buffer machines. It is so soothing to make things clean.
@mysterious purple stain: Considering the overall state it might've been mold of sorts. Mold can have a range of colours and that one looks like it has been treated really badly. But also colors come to mind, maybe remains of some detergent or something. Insect remains maybe as well. If the colour was remotely acidic, it could've been acting like a dye; sticking tight (in)to the fibers.
Yes i think the latter seems more likely. Some sort of reaction from something that dyed the fibers. Thanks for your insights.
@@MountainRugCleaning Np. Had a huge fight with a similiar carpet and acrylic colors. Colors won. ^^'
Maybe something nasty splattered on the carpet and the owner used the good old Cloggo to remove it.😁

Welcome back! Yes this one had been left out a while and needed the crb to clean it properly. Thankyou for your kind words 😊
@@MountainRugCleaning the CRB is a fantastic scrubber. I also love the rake you are using. I always feel the pile on the shaggy rugs need to be "brushed and detangled" lol, when I watch other channels.
One thing I noticed though is that when you turn the rugs you block the drain. Maybe go to one of the sides. It would making cleaning the gunk from the floor more efficient. Though you do it the way you feel comfortable, just something I observed.

If that purple stain is permanganate as someone suggested then dilute oxalic or citric acid should get it out and won't harm the wool.

I've watched nearly all your videos now. Thankyou so much.. Just one thing... mt OCD being a pain, did you realise you rarely squeeze the water out of the rug in the corner you stand in? Great job!! Sometimes you can’t get all the stains out but this is a 1000% better than before!!
Do (could ) you use extremely hot water or steam as one of the cleaning/ disinfecting methods? Or is that too risky to use on rugs ( in case it destroys the rug)?
Yes its too risky. Hot water is fine for surface cleaning but it can cause shrinking if you get it on the backing.
Kill it before it lay eggs!!!😁
We had a friend who had these little snakes in the carpets.
Haha you have to tell me more
@@MountainRugCleaning they pulled them out and exterminated. Talk about creepy. Tiny snakes like worms.

What if you place the rug on a net type of bottom.. so when you pressure wash the dirt goes straight out...
That would work quite well i would say.
