I think if boatyard owner saw you were making progress with the restoration the reaction from them might have been different.

The new owners owned the Club, golf course next door, and wanted to incorporate the boatyard/ marina into that property. It became a yacht club, without any boatyard. All previous boatyard residents were removed. It was a business plan, nothing more, nothing less.

Why did she take on water? I always thought it a good idea to put a 110V sump pump in the bilge to hopefully get someone to notice before the boat sinks.

Thanks for the question. I went into detail on what happened in a previous episode. "Honey I sank the Yacht". To summarize, an exhaust valve before the muffler failed, which when the engines were running allowed water to enter into the aft cabin. Previous owner beached the boat well before it sank. However, it was low tide and the boat got hung up in the mud. It would have been fine through high tide, however that night was king tide which is considerably higher. Check out some of the other episodes, and feel free to reach out again.

I know this isn't an up to date video but I've been wondering if anyone knows whatever because of her?

How cruel is it that the new owners insisted you vacate the yard. ? Would they not launch it for you? You had no alternative but to Sawzall the superstructure.

It could have been launched and moved, however finding a DIY boatyard is getting harder, and there was nothing close that could be an option. Ultimately, I decided to just bring it the 1400 miles home, where I have access. Removal of the flybridge did not involve any cutting of the super structure. It did however require removal of the hard encloser on the flush deck. It will be rebuilt this summer. Thanks for the question! Keep watching, much more to come..
