Gotta say my experience recently reviewing a different "Graphene" product (and that is important to note) is different. I personally believe we are about to be inundated by Graphene based products, complete with the 101 of marketing bs. 🤣 Good vid nonetheless. 👍
I have to disagree Dave, I’ve done a fair bit of research into Graphene Oxide and I believe the hype to be true AS LONG AS QUALITY GRAPHENE OXIDE is used
Whatever is in a product that makes it perform well is kind of irrelevant as long as it performs I suppose. This seems to perform really well so well done infinity Wax!
Excellent demonstration mate, from my experience it appears to get even more chemically resistant the longer it’s left. Really impressed with this product
Spot on review Specky. I'm curious to see how this whole Graphene era of detailing products pans out. I did like that you compared to the original rapid detailer. I think for all the advances in raw materials that there's something pure and nice in something like that product. Reminds me of a simpler time.
The original is still a great product and smells amazing. I still like using older products just to remind me of simple chemistry and how far we've come.
@@SpeckyMcSporran Yeah same for me. One of my last waxing sessions was with Victoria Wax Concourse. It's been out so long it's almost impossible to buy now. Still a fantastic wax though despite it being dated.
I wanted that wax long ago. Protection isn't everything, I really want Zymol Glasur just for the oils and glazing ability. Sometimes you just need something for the experience.
Great Vid Craig, can't wait to try mine, I opted for the limited edition rapid detailer as a topper. I just can't be without that stuff, it's pure liquid gold for giving the perfect finish! Love the fact it's not 'snake oil' 😉
Tried QDX Graphene yesterday, super easy, super slick, and wicked beading. At that price point and ease of use, I don't think it can get any better. Maybe longevity will suffer as the result of ease, but who cares, just do it once a month.
Something for the future once its evolved a bit maybe ? Im not won over too much with the reviews Ive seen by yourself , Detaiing and the beast and others to feel its a must have product over what I have already . Waiting on my GT 3 and GT 2 Sigma to arrive to try out but be interesting to see how these evolve in the next few months . Thought it was some film star at first too , hope whatever was wrong sorts itself soon bud
See where I see from the get go here is it’s qdx quick detailer why would You decon snd fully polish a car and apply a quick detailer 4/5 hours work to apply a quick detailer 🤦🏻♂️
Fair question and the answer is you wouldn't. But QDX Graphene is no ordinary detailer because it's possible to get six months of protection from it so technically you could call it a sealant. Should you apply a sealant after a decon and polish? I'd say yes.
@@SpeckyMcSporran oh completely Agree if it’s a sealant they should be calling it a sealant not a qd to me it seems to perform the exact same as the ceramic coloured grey and added a few quid don’t get me wrong I like there range they have a purpose But for graphene products like this I don’t see it going anywhere a full on graphene coating like a ceramic I can see the point cuts down the annoyances of ceramic like water marks products like this are aimed to extract cash from the detailer a
Always loved the original IW detail spray and it certainly held it's own against the others, I thought the difference in beading and sheeting was minimal though I expect Ceramic and Graphene will be more durable. Can anyone tell me the difference between pink and blue original and why they did two colours?. Excellent video, really enjoyed it.
Much anticipated video- I purchased the Graphene product in readiness and will be using it on the girlfriends back doors, suddenly become all Paul Dolden... Anyway... She has a clubman and her back doors are filthy.... Great review, like you I can't wait to compare it alongside GT and Yum Cars ceramic. thanks Specky, you uploaded the video in time so I didn't have to watch Vera... #hero
IL be honest after all the science info I was hoping for some wow results but it looks like it has no extra benefits to other products I've used like Gyeon wetcoat. That stuff is amazing, just a quick spray and jetwash off and last a good amount of time and water repelant
@@SpeckyMcSporran price per litre is huge, this stuff is £17 for 500ml compared to £18-19 for 1 litre of Gyeon Wetcoat. Seen as the results are hard to see any difference not sure why I would pay twice the money. Guess if you didn't know about Gyeon. Be a good side by comparison
@@DriveWithAndy they're very different products. Wet Coat is a topper and QDX is a QD/Sealant. Cost per litre isn't a fair metric either, you'll use much more Wet Coat per panel than the QDX. A side-by-side comparison wouldn't be exactly fair but if I ever get more Wet Coat then I'll give it a go.
Following a full paint decontamination I used QDX Graphene yesterday and was left with dark smear marks all over the car especially the bonnet and roof. Not impressed. I followed the instructions to a "T" but you seem to have had better results not following the instructions. I used 3 quick spritz's per panel, shook the bottle well, applied with a soft sponge applicator, waited for between 1 and 3 minutes then buffed with a plush microfiber cloth. On the bonnet I was buffing with two hands pushing down with my body weight. I've emailed Infinity for their thoughts. Not sure if I want to go through that pain again.
@@SpeckyMcSporran Hi Specky. It's been two weeks since I emailed Infinity Wax about my QDX Graphene issue and so far have not had a response from them. So this leaves me not only dissatisfied with the product but also of the level of customer service. But hey that's okay. There are so many other good quality products out there for me to choose from I'm sure I'll find something better. The bottle of QDX that I bought will be fine for my alloys but I wont be using it anywhere near my paintwork. Thank you for showing an interest in my initial comment and I wish you the best for the future. Keep up the excellent work.
So far, I am not finding the QDX spray to be lasting as long as seal N Shine...It is nicer to work with and looks nice..lasting maybe not as good as advertised...
Interesting, they claim 6 weeks for un-prepared paint and much longer if you polish and prep your surface. I'd email them with your concerns if I were you.
@@SpeckyMcSporran the wax is not lasting either (graphene) im disappointed, I was expecting better results...but, it is not expensive so maybe at the price point it is o.k.
Thanks Specky I have been looking into graphene for some time as my local car detailing product manufacturer is starting to formulate products and coat their cars with it. I have recently been impressed with 303 graphene spray but believe it is as yet unavailable in the uk. Their product can be used as a top coat onto your own prepared and waxed paint is infinity the same. Another great bit of detailing investigation and I hope your eyes improve soon.
