      Thanks Paul. I did a video a couple weeks back where I applied graphene to one half of my wife’s Audi and si02 to the other half to see if there is any advantage of graphene. Both products used suggest up to 6 months longevity. I will be doing an up date in the next couple of weeks. I’m struggling to see any advantage at the moment

    Another good video Martin, will be interesting to see your results with this.
    Im not sure how long you left before wetting it but on the IW website it says you should give it an hour to fully form a bond before wetting, something i feel they should have on the label as i would imagine that would affect the durability.

      Yep good call Dave, should be on the bottle but I gave it a good hour. Not going to look at the longevity on this car but will be looking at its performance on the Audi. I've used a sample size bottle a few times and I can't comment on the durability as I used it on top of other products as I thought it was more for that use. Gave a proper smooth slick finish though, right up there one of the best I've used.

      Agreed, really nice application and looks great but on my car it didn't last 3 months. It really winds me up when manufacturers give false information to sell the product. Once you get bitten you loose all confidence in the brand. Check out my video on Graphene or Si02. Si02 out performs the graphene. Stay safe

    Really impressive video Martin, I got a bottle of this when it was released and found it difficult to use, particularly on black paint. To be fair to infinity wax when I told them they sent another out free of charge which I havent used as yet as I'm waiting for my new car to be delivered. Just to check I think you said this time around you used a microfibre applicator rather than a foam one compared with the last time you used it on your wife's Audi, if so where can you get the applicator from? Hope you and the family are well.

    • @ObsessiveCarDetailer
      @ObsessiveCarDetailer  3 роки тому

      Hi Phil, From a few conversations I have had it would seem that early samples may have been unstable and when infinity wax were informed they replaced with new. The reason for not using a foam applicator was the product seeped through and I ended up with it over my hands. This time I used a microfibre applicator and it was a much better user experience as well as I felt it was a better application. You can buy the microfibre applicators from any detailing store but the last ones I bought were from County Detailing for £1.75 I think. We are all great thank you. Hope all is well with you Phil👍

    Another good video Martin. I found it very easy to use and left a very slick finish. I think a lot of the issues with it are user error by using too much product. Durability wise I think more like 3 months on a daily driven car. Topping up after every other wash as its so easy to use would give the best results I feel.

    • @ObsessiveCarDetailer
      @ObsessiveCarDetailer  3 роки тому

      No Andy its not a wax. Graphene is a recently new type of sealant that is becoming popular in the detailing world. Some are saying its the next step after Si02 but in my view I am yet to experience any advantages it has over an Si02 sealant. Safety Information:
    For use on automotive paint only. Avoid contact with rubber and plastic. Do not use inside the vehicle. Apply QDX Graphene in a well ventilated area preferably in a dust free environment. Always wear gloves when using chemicals and avoid contact with bare skin. If irritation develops while using QDX Graphene, stop immediately and wash the affected area with plenty of cold water and rub gently. QDX Graphene causes eye and respiratory tract irritation. Always keep upwind of any spray. If QDX Graphene meets your eyes, rinse thoroughly with eye drops.
    Keep out of the reach of children! Avoid using around animals, especially reptiles and fish.
    If swallowed, contact local emergency services and do not induce vomiting.

    This stuff is the latest addition to my arsenal, seriously good product. It's not expensive either. I can't really tell how popular this sealant is, but it needs to be well and truly put on the map and recognised.
    I used Scholl Concepts S20 one step compound, IPA wipe down then QDX Graphene, insane results on my 2007 Subaru paint. Shout out for the Scholl compound too, a fantastic bang for buck compound, it makes perfect results for even a weekend warrior like me. My paint has never looked so good - and I'm fussy believe me.
    I haven't put QDX to the longevity challenge, but who cares? It's so quick and easy and gives me instant gloss and beading, I'll be doing it after every maintenance wash anyway. I cannot stress enough how impressed I am with QDX Graphene.
