Annan Athletic opened their doors at Galabank for me making this my first SPFL stadium tour for a long, long time!
Annan currently play in Scottish League 2 (at the time of uploading) and are an ambitious club! As part of this video I also interviewed current Director of Football and former Rangers/Scotland keeper, Cammy Bell.

Liking your content and glad you got back in a football ground
Cheers Darren! Thanks for watching as ever. Buzzing to get inside another SPFL club! It's been too long!
Love the Club. Played there for a couple of years. Great to See Camry Bell there - a great lad who used to come and train with the seniors when he was just a kid. A true Annan Athletic lad. 👍⚽️
Brilliant Sam 👏
Love the long interview with Cammy, he is a top lad and is really passionate about the club and has got big ambitions for us 😃
Thanks very much! And yeah Cammy is a top bloke!
Superb efforts, fascinating insight and well delivered in a personable fashion. It is at this level of the game you can feel a true affinity with your club.
Thanks very much Gareth. Totally agree, you feel alot closer to the smaller clubs. They're much more accessible.
Lovely story, good luck next season Annan.
Another great video Sam.
You do a good job of making the transitions between sections “dynamic” if that makes sense.
Very cool interview with Cammy Bell as well, a former Queens Park player which is my favorite club in Scotland so I obviously love it (even though he didn’t stay long). Keep up the good work. Cheers!
Thanks Dan, glad you're liking a few of the editing/camera tricks. Trying to make the videos as good as I can! Cammy was such a good guy. Hopefully I can get back down to Annan for a match soon
Great vid Sam. Although Annan is one of my local(ish) teams (other end of of Dumfriesshire), I've never actually been to Galabank. Once I recover fully from my heart surgery and lockdown restrictions are lifted, I'm quite keen to give it a visit now after seeing what a great wee ground it is on your vid.
Thanks Bob. All the best with your recovery! I hope it's a speedy one. For sure once things open up you need to visit Annan. Not only a nice ground, but an extremely welcoming club! Hopefully can start to meet Scottish football fans like yourself at matches soon! Thanks for sharing on Twitter also. Cheers!
Aaah the video you told me about on the other Annan video 😂 glad you got a go on the pitch, played on it a few times qhen the Under 16s were allowed to play on it (talking over 10 years ago now!)
what a club 🟡⚫
Oh yeah thanks for remembering!! Agree, Annan are a top club!!
Very interesting and probing interview with Cammy Bell. Another highly enjoyable and information video .
Thanks again! Such a cool club!
@@FootyAdventures You’re welcome. It’s good to see tidy, smaller clubs and your promotion of them is admirable
@@thomasseery7570 appreciate that. More coming soon!
Great video, good to see you visit a SPFL team home ground.
Thanks Jason!
Class video
Thank you!!
Top quality video 👏👏👏
Danke 🙌
15 of us mostly spurs supporters from North London use to go to Gretna to watch them, when they went out of the league we said whoever replaces them we would support. So Annan Athletic became our Scottish adopted club. We stayed in Annan for the weekend great little town where a few light 🍺 where supped in "The Bluebell"pub, and the sports bar "The Shack". Annan had the best clubhouse in div 3 then. Plenty of beer, sky sports, pool tables, the works. Chairman laid food and beer on for "The London Boys". Really friendly club and after we had our fill it was back to the "Shack"with our new Annan mates who we met for some more 🍻! Beat Elgin that day, and was talking with an Elgin supporter who rented a transit van for the whole 6 of them! As he said it's a bit far for them, then I said where we came from his reply F***ing he'll ya mad Bampots.!! Happy days. Been there a few times now, and scored a goal as well. Great work mate. Up The Galabankies! AAFC.!!
No way they keeper saves them🤣. Class vid again mate.
Haha definitely! Cheers mate!
Brilliant video hope you had a brilliant Easter when are you coming to Kidderminster Harriers football club you should go on the pitch and stay safe
Thanks very much. With the UK reopening I'll come to KHFC soon! I know you've wanted me to come for a while now!
@@FootyAdventures I can't wait until the video
Great video thumbs up
Thank you 👍
As a Motherwell fan I love cammy bell. A good day in may 2015 for me and a howler for cammy
Great vid, not been to Annan since the 1980s. Looks a tidy club
Thanks! Definitely recommend a trip when the country opens up!
Great video. Hopefully you will come back to Galabank when us supporters are allowed back into Galabank
For sure! Would love to meet some fans down there!
Great video again you always get great weather you need to do one in the snow one day 🤣🤣🚜🚜🚜🚜
Thanks! Haha there have been a few rainy/snowy vlogs but I seem to pick good days sometimes!
@@FootyAdventures I bet when lockdown is all over and we can travel around the weather goes bad that would be typical 🚜🚜🚜🚜🤣
This was great. Played on that when it were grass
Thanks! Yeah I've seen pics of when it was grass!
Nice mate
Clinical finishing there ⚽️
Haha cheers!
Enjoyed that as always, thanks!
On your point of getting more locals to support their local Clubs; Rangers & Celtic have supporters all over Scotland, most would rather go to the game, watch it live at home or in the pub. So why don't the SFA Kick off the lower league games at say 12 or 1 o'clock? ...that maybe give the opportunity to support the local teams as they will still have time to go down the pub or home to see their favourite teams! Just a thought.
That's such a good idea! Cheers for watching!
My second cousin, Steven Sloan used to play for annan and was part of the team that won at ibrox
Yes they have a nice stadium. And very interesting history.
Nice goal mate! 👏👏👏
The blanding is very good. And very interesting mini-interview.
I can see there is room for expanding the stadium if Annan takes a Gretna (the fairytale part) in the future. Great video 👍
Thank you for watching again Erik 👍 Was interesting to speak to Cammy and yeah totally agree there's room there for expansion! Let's hope they can rise through the leagues!!
@@FootyAdventures Your welcome. Looking forward to that Gretna video.
Have a great saturday
@@eriks.lundestad9365 cheers you too!
Hopefully more clubs will give you an interview after seeing cammy Bell on here, off the ball next step
I hope so too! More coming soon!!
Annan might become my second Scottish team
Annan youth will be playing in two weeks time at gala bank probably round about 12 o'clock recomend watching the game but don't be surprised if they get beat they haven't been on form

Absolutely fantastic vlog Sam.
Intermsof there being a boom in attendance post Pandemic in Scottish football clubs at all levels in Scotland simply need to get a grip with reality in terms of ticket prices for the standard of League they are playing in before the Pandemic often for me in Scottish football ticket prices where just simply not value for money in terms of goals with the vast maof games out with the Old Firm clubs bing low scoring rather drab games but clubs still demanding ridicules prices to view such games take Ayr United for example it was £32 for 2 Adults to go & watch a Scottish Championship game that's ridicules for the standard of football being played at that level in Scotland so
Scottish football needs to start helping its self before would be fans start helping clubs buy more fans turning up for games post Pandemic.
Keep Safe.
Thanks Alan. And wow, I didn't realise tickets cost that much. Maybe it varies by club? But yeah I'd certainly love to see clubs getting more supporters through the doors post covid
Should go to a Brechin city game best club in Scotland
Definitely! I've been inside before but on a non matchday!
Didn't Annan beat Brechin
Still got it :-)
Booommmm
Cheers mate!!
Great content who's your favourite Scottish stadium.😀
Thanks Mark! Apart from Annan some of my favourites are Stranraer, Arbroath, Dumbarton, Ibrox & Parkheed!
@@FootyAdventures cheers for reply keep it up videos are great m8
Next video can you congratulate Heart of Midlothian FC on promotion
my local team
Great video yet again, but i'm nearly 64 and i would have saved your penalty, and i was never a goalie. lol
Haha I just didn't wanna miss the target!
Weyyy the local
Banging the ball into an empty net ? You are comedy Jolly Hockey Sticks Gold .
Are you up for the Rangers game?
Annan Atheltic was born during World War 2 there ok but not my cup of tea since they entered the Scottish League system
Your luck is rubbing off again Sam, Annan lost today after you posted this video. Enjoy the part of the video where you talked to an official, it gives more of an insight into the club
Haha I know, they're gunna stop inviting me! Glad you enjoyed the interview
