Greatest band in the world. Greatest concert ever. Other live performances from this concert? All of them. Seriously. But if you want to pick out the ones you have already heard on studio recordings: They perform The Dark Side of The Moon in it's entirety...Speak To Me/Breathe, On The Run, Time, The Great Gig In The Sky, Money, Us and Them, Any Colour You Like, Brain Damage/Eclipse. Then there's Wish You Were Here, Another Brick in the Wall pt2, and Run Like Hell Not sure how far you have got past The Wall yet, so I'll leave it there....Enjoying your reactions and keep going on down the rabbit hole! Happy listening!
Saw this experience 5 times indoors and outdoors. Outdoor laser were unbelievable, even needed FAA clearance. 200,000 watts of power, 128 wireless speakers, 200 ton stage being move by 53 semi, 3 stages at different times being moved. In 1994 Greg Phillinganes ( Micheal Jackson music director saw this and quoted saying "They are on a different level". Greg played keys on Gilmour's last solo tour.
Take a look at Money in Pulse concert (restored and edited) you will enjoy the sax solo, and they add some additional jazzy part in the middle of the song. Don't miss it. Cheers
Since you heard "Money" during your 'Dark Side of the Moon' reaction, go ahead and check out the live extended Pulse version that features the classic Parry sax solo. One of the greatest in rock history... And among the earliest of its kind.
Thanks for allowing us to join you on your journey seeing them live, may I suggest that you do the entire Pulse concert in segments, the visuals with the music will bring your Heart, Spirit and Soul into harmony, an epic journey my Friend, I hope you will do the entire concert, Thanks again for allowing us to join you, the rabbit hole is deep, God Bless
My favourite part of this song is the first half before the sax comes in. I just love the amazing build up in the beginning. Spine tingling is the closest explanation that I can give.
Pulse songs : High Hopes / Keep Talking / Sorrow Also On The Turning Away - Live At The Delicate Sound Of Thunder Concert. ( The solo is better than Comfortably Numb ) hehe ;)
I saw this concert twice, on May 23 and 24, 1994, Montreal Olympic Stadium. My employer (Labatt Breweries of Canada) was the sponsor for the three shows in Montreal, they were offering employees discounted tickets, in addition to a draw of a few dozen tickets. I bought mine for May 23 and I won those (a pair) for May 24. Some people have asked me, "Why are you going to see this show twice?" When they finally saw the DVD of this show a few years later, they understood why I was there twice.
Joe!!!! It's great to see you again. Another banger reaction video. You can certainly see how much music touches your heart and soul. I do have to admit that your reactions when an ad pops up in the song (as it did in Comfortable Numb), are hilarious. Love your channel man. Suggestion: Dire Straits, "Sultans of Swing", Live at Alchemy. I think you would dig it. Cheers.
I wondered where you were. I was looking forward to your next PF song. I love seeing young people fall in love with my all time favorite band. It’s pretty damn cool you play the sax, and have discovered Nick Perry. So awesome. Can’t wait for the next one! 😊
I wasn't at this Concert lol, but I did see the 'Animals' Tour in 1977 Boston. After a couple hundred Concerts, and several years later, it was still one of my favorites
Pink Floyd out-did not only themselves with that Division Bell tour (PULSE is the name of the CD/DVD release). They out-did anyone. To this day. I have been to many, many concerts. Nothing comes even close.
Pink Floyd is so different!! One of the things that makes them different is during any of their concerts they always allow their "backup singers and musicians" to have their own time on the front of the stage in front of everybody!! There are no egos in this version of Pink Floyd!!!!
They're no guitarists of the stature of Gilmour who would allow the 2nd guitarist to take solo's especially on Another Brick In The Wall P2 and Learning to fly when Tim plays solo's, it's a measure of Gilmour's lack of ego or comfort with his place in life and the pleasure he takes in working with others.
@@ianfortier5534 Get real. The Pulse concert isn't a book that you have to read in consecutive chapters in order for you to get the ending. He just did the concert opener, so why not do the finale as a great contrast? Later, he can do everything in between. Rules don't apply when enjoying Pink Floyd.
@balthazartrumpi6808 - Easy there, chief. I didn't say PULSE needed to be watched in order, but don't you think he should watch a fair bit of the middle before getting smacked in the face by the grand finale? Dude tells me to "get real". 🤣
Love the reaction dude, u tube getting there own back by giving you an ad in the first minute lol, you could have straightened your bed a bit it would only take a second, about the same time as it took me to get my Earl's Court tickets ( maybe even in the crowd shots) rock on young man there's plenty more from Pulse for you to enjoy.
Since you are a sax player I think you would enjoy Pink Floyd’s “Us and Them”. It uses the sax as the lead instrument in place of guitar. And when getting to the live version, go with the “Delicate Sound of Thunder” tour with Scott Page on sax. He absolutely kills it and owns the spotlight!
Seeing as you appreciate Pink Floyd live, i suggest you do Time and The Great Gig together as one song, and Wish You Were Here......all from the Pulse concert. The whole concert is mind blowing, but these 3 offerings offer their own little surprises.
please react to Echoes live at Pompeii or live at Gdansk Live at Pompeii was performed when they were young lads (1971) If you want to stay on pulse suggest High Hopes and if you want to see them in full flow try Run Like Hell Keep up the good work great to see a new generation loving Pink Floyd
You need to discover the original Pink Floyd : Syd Barrett-Lead Guitar, Singer-songwriter, Arranger; Roger Waters - Bass Guitar & Backing Vocals, Richard Wright- Keyboards & Backing Vocals, & Nick Mason - Drums. Complete different band & sound !
I hate to tell you this, but.....since I'm already "screw-you'd" 🤣 I'll just go ahead and let the cat out of the bag....PULSE was even better than it looks. Pink Floyd put speakers around the perimeter of the venue, so sounds could come at you out of the darkness from anywhere - above you, behind you, or from across the venue. Also, it can be difficult to tell, but the entire night, the lights were always active, and always synced tightly to the music. They were almost another performer. It's been said that this was the first computer-controlled lighting system performance, and I believe it. As for suggestions, I'll give you one you won't often hear - "One Of These Days". It gives a better idea of what it was like to be there, to have those LIGHTS! assaulting you all night. It was a truly legendary show, and a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Pink Floyd brought their own reality, and for three hours they let us visit them there.
Since you're a Sax player, there may be videos of their "Momentary Lapse of Reason" Tour. The Sax player was someone else. Money, Dogs of War, and maybe Great Gig in the Sky, and Us and Them songs show brief interludes of the Sax player. There are a couple PF cover bands that tour constantly, one is Brit Floyd, and the other is Wish You Were Here, both are superb in the reproduction of sounds, and videos, and both put out a pretty decent light show. Good luck at school.
@joemother Given that you liked 'The Great Gig In The Sky' so much you should listen to the Pulse version of that on UA-cam too. The backing singers do a great job of Clare Tory's vocals. PS.. I never saw this live, but I did see The Wall live in London in the early 80's ;)
I was there - sorry to annoy you !!! I can’t believe it was 30 years ago next month!!!! To add to your annoyance I have tickets to see David Gilmour at The Royal Albert Hall (London ) next month Excellent reaction video by the way
Why does it sound so good? One of the Singers said, the Band are like a bunch of "Forensic Financial Analysts" every tiny little detail is looked at and considered to make sure the audience gets a show... However we can all see they did run out of budget by the time they got to Dave Gilmours clothing allowance! 😂😂😂
See my previous recommdation for Pink Floyd Animals - it's a must listen masterpiece. For perhaps the best live performance ever, check out Edgar Winter playing Frankenstein circa 1973. ua-cam.com/video/P8f-Qb-bwlU/v-deo.htmlsi=pVzAVU8F1HWq1_rb

Yeah, "High Hopes" and "Sorrow" at 94 Pulse!
SORROW,HIGH HOPES,ON THE TURNING AWAY all live are some great ones. It is hard to go wrong with any of their songs...
The Great Gig In The Sky performance from that concert is going to WRECK you.

Pulse is arguably the best concert of all time and the best talent assembled together.
their “Sorrow” at this concert is phenominal, david gilmores guitar is so good u cant believe it, even after seeing comfortably numb

He started playing the baritone sax and then switched to the tenor.

Every song from Pulse is excellent. Check out SORROW, and also TIME, just to name a couple of songs.
