Sir Elon is a perfect example of dedication...Even after facing so many struggles, he never gave up. Salute you Sir! Would say, "I'm proud to be a human."
I know in the future people might look back at this and be: "all that scream for a rocket landing straight back on earth?". Well, for us right now is groundbreaking.
I always keep thinking about the James Bond movie You Only Live Twice, when they landed that rocket in a vulcano. When I first saw that I was like: sure James. Keep on dreaming. That's definitely not how rockets work. I'm glad to say: I stand corrected.
Not really. The idea has been around for a while but nobody's ever really thought that it was worth it since they could build more powerful engines with less chance to fail. It's an impressive idea on paper, but revolutionary it sure the fuck ain't. Could actually help sink Musk's company, to be totally honest... Rocket's ain't airplanes. They're basically artillery without the explosive payload.
He spends almost all his time engineering and less than 2% of his time with public speaking - in these public speeches, he stutters a lot, and rarely ever prepares himself much. Is this what you think makes him a "PR genius"?
TheScalexWrites In 1995, at age 24, Musk moved to California to begin a PhD in applied physics and materials science at Stanford University, but left the program after two days to pursue his entrepreneurial aspirations in the areas of the Internet, renewable energy and outer space.
Muskar "He spends almost all his time engineering" Source for that claim? Because he isn't an engineer :) "he stutters a lot, and rarely ever prepares himself much." He doesn't have to be prepared since the audience is never critical or sceptical. "Is this what you think makes him a "PR genius"?" How about the huge personal cult around him and the fact that he fails on every one of his promises and yet people picture him like a successful businessman and engineer. While every single of his companies failed on a financial basis and their products are horrible as well. Yet everybody talks about him how great he is and progressive. Utter bullshit this guy is a fraud, at least the engineers I wolk with from day to day know this but the general public treats him like a saint (in the US). Look at the simple facts, the Tesla is a failure and has serious quality issues. The F9 has serious reliability issues hasn't been reused yet and the price is increasing every year. F9H 4 years late and still no launch but whatever right? Hyperloop we shouldn't even talk about that. His mars rocket ? Yeah elon try to figure out how to go to space with your simple F9 then we will talk again. Just look up the criticism on him, he is a fraud and only people who are not in scientific community or in engineering industry fall for his bullshit. Greetings.
It's about the booster rocket coming back and landing safely. Now they can hopefully refurbish the rocket and use it for another launch and greatly reduce cost of a future one.
+Mark Guinn I think now it's not only about the cost, but also testing the retropropulsive technology that can land big ship where parachute won't work, as NASA interested when they re-light their engine at altitude where the condition similar to Martian atmosphere
+Nextsuborbital spaceflight I think it's a stupid policy too. Some of our smartest people are immigrants. Don't give up on your dream. Gain citizenship through naturalization and they'll surely let you in. We will make it to Mars. A human effort, not just an American one.
Actually the US has a policy to "import" immigrant talent for the scientific/medical/engineering etc industries, so long the person and the company hiring can prove they have skill-sets that are not 'available' in the US. Google "H1-B visas" you might still have a shot, though with Trump that policy might change.
Can't find words to describe his efforts to launch a reusable rocket even when NASA failed to hear out his ideas. His persistent efforts to pursue his passion is just beyond words. We love you elon
@Faisal Al-Ahmad not true lmao he only employs americans for one, for two, that would be giving people a joke, hes given jobs to so many people who havent been able to use their skills that they learned properly
Thats because they are the old guards, they grew up with NASA. And they dont want private businesses meddling with space travel. But capitalism works. Elon actually cares aboit recycling rockets and making them better because it is out of his pocket and not the tax payers money he throws around.
Elon is one business guy that you can respect without feeling bad about it. Whatever he does is gonna be for humanity. Two years ago I didn't know about him but lately I've been watching him a lot.
Most billionaires spent their money for expensive shit like yachts, caviar or yoga lessons for their dogs. Musk, Bezos and others are investing in hard-to-handle technologies like space technology, electric mobility, solar and fusion energy. Guess who I respect more.
Noooo stop with this nonsense. The competition isn't fair. NASA knows exactly what to do, but when your every move is controlled by the freacking Congress, your mission changes way too often... They know that they already have private companies making a very good job at launches and should stop that SLS nonsense. However, they are still the best to design the payload and satellites thet go on top ! NASA should do science, not lifting :D

You make a profound observation... I will be thinking about this for days to come. Trying to recollect when I have felt this way. Thank you.
Best comment i have ever read on YT
You Gonna be Next Musk
Sir Elon is a perfect example of dedication...Even after facing so many struggles, he never gave up. Salute you Sir!
Would say, "I'm proud to be a human."
Elon Musk, the mastermind that brings masterminds together
Definitly more interesting then football. Inspiring.
Very inpiring indeed.
such inpire
much inspire
Amitai Medan definitely*
And than not then *sighs*
I know in the future people might look back at this and be: "all that scream for a rocket landing straight back on earth?".
Well, for us right now is groundbreaking.
I always keep thinking about the James Bond movie You Only Live Twice, when they landed that rocket in a vulcano. When I first saw that I was like: sure James. Keep on dreaming. That's definitely not how rockets work. I'm glad to say: I stand corrected.
There are people currently who think "Ahh no big deal" They'll continue to exist.
They're basically artillery without the explosive payload.
knupder Thanks. You prove my initial point.
joedanero
What point? You realize that NASA used a reusable first stage to launch its space shuttles for more than thirty years, right?
2:47 its mad cute how excited he is 😂
I was born in the right era.
you look old tho
i- 💀
i wasn't 😥😭🥺
same, I think...
Me too , but not at the right place
It is incredibly humbling to see a genius like Elon feel fear and anxiety 2:00
Never give up people
Genious?
He is a college dropout and never invented anything, his engineers are doing the work he is just a pr "genius".
He spends almost all his time engineering and less than 2% of his time with public speaking - in these public speeches, he stutters a lot, and rarely ever prepares himself much. Is this what you think makes him a "PR genius"?
rhetorical ABM Sprint college dropout? He graduated from TWO colleges.
TheScalexWrites
In 1995, at age 24, Musk moved to California to begin a PhD in applied physics and materials science at Stanford University, but left the program after two days to pursue his entrepreneurial aspirations in the areas of the Internet, renewable energy and outer space.
Muskar
"He spends almost all his time engineering"
Source for that claim?
Because he isn't an engineer :)
"he stutters a lot, and rarely ever prepares himself much."
He doesn't have to be prepared since the audience is never critical or sceptical.
"Is this what you think makes him a "PR genius"?"
How about the huge personal cult around him and the fact that he fails on every one of his promises and yet people picture him like a successful businessman and engineer.
Greetings.
What an awesome time to be alive!
Watching this after the super heavy catch...same vibes, larger scale.
Man I love elon and spaceX one day they're gonna be the key to moving civilization to another world when the earth is finished
Said Iid HAHAHHAAHAHAHAHA
That is if their rockets don't explode.
Hello my brother.
Hey Skankhunt its me, Dildoswaggins
What the fuck are you doing here. I thought we had a deal.
Seeing him running of joy like a little kid makes me tear up
He tried to land an orbital class rocket.
"He's crazy"
*Now decided to launch a car to Mars*
and he succeeded!
Yea he did xd
Then sold 8 tickets of a trip to space to a Japanese dude!
The moment he runs outside to look at his dream doing it’s duty is beautiful
"holy smokes man" hahaha
Everything took place on Earth. Is the feat here the cost, the speed, or the similarity of conditions to a Mars landing?
It's about the booster rocket coming back and landing safely. Now they can hopefully refurbish the rocket and use it for another launch and greatly reduce cost of a future one.
+Mark Guinn I think now it's not only about the cost, but also testing the retropropulsive technology that can land big ship where parachute won't work, as NASA interested when they re-light their engine at altitude where the condition similar to Martian atmosphere
Moduhlize let's just say he's a Californian
Maybe he really thinks it is a holy smoke that's emanating off the rocket.
this brought tears to my eyes
I am going to work for this man.
Are you gonna work... under him?
I cant
no us citizen :(
Nextsuborbital spaceflight sad part is that he's originally from South Africa and Canada don't let that stop you!
4 years later, and this is in everyone's recommendation.
Can't find words to describe his efforts to launch a reusable rocket even when NASA failed to hear out his ideas. His persistent efforts to pursue his passion is just beyond words. We love you elon
Why Do I just like Elon I don't even know him but I fell like is he a good person
TexiG TexiG 🚀🌌❤️
So do I. He is different.. and, I admire him too much:)
His ambitious really caught my attention right away ... He dream big but not only for himself
: NASA
@Faisal Al-Ahmad not true lmao
he only employs americans for one, for two, that would be giving people a joke, hes given jobs to so many people who havent been able to use their skills that they learned properly
I felt like I achieved something😂😂
Yes it's is our achievement as mankind
😂🤣
Same
And I feel like to do something even bigger than this
Me too🤣🤣
2:14 This is what you call joy !
Idk but I cried. I’m so happy to be this part of generation to witness these histories being made and when these amazing people are alive.
Jesus I f'n teared up
Mee too. Goosebumps. 🙏
Mystique Ufo Pirate so did i
As did I
Same
why tf did you tear up?
After knowing the story of Elon and how his childhood heroes critisized him for his project, I am ecstatic for Elon.
@@missionpupa They have actually come around, Armstrong loves Elon now.
@@---jc7pi Armstrong has been dead since 2012.
When you realized that this achievement was just a beginning of more achievements to come.
simply amazing. the ability of the human species continues to surprise, in both directions.
DJ Deckard Cain know what you mean
Agreed, and well said
backwards and forwards
The first landing never gets old... What an amazing achievement... I wish I was smart enough to be part of spacex
Their happiness made me cry. Congratulations! ❤️
❤❤😂
I salute every engineer involved in this mission 🙌👍👌
Most billionaires spent their money for expensive shit like yachts, caviar or yoga lessons for their dogs. Musk, Bezos and others are investing in hard-to-handle technologies like space technology, electric mobility, solar and fusion energy. Guess who I respect more.
Who is taking care of Fukushima?
Go educate yourself on r/latestagecapitalism
Totally agreed. He's awesome. I respect him, I admire him, I adore him, I worship him.
Gates to has a charity. Btw I agree with u
yoga lessons 😂😂
I'm not gay...but Elon Musk is Elon Musk...
steven boyer That was great, well said.
steven boyer Elon is love Elon is life
SpaceX > NASA
Thats not even a fair question
Noooo stop with this nonsense. The competition isn't fair.
NASA knows exactly what to do, but when your every move is controlled by the freacking Congress, your mission changes way too often... They know that they already have private companies making a very good job at launches and should stop that SLS nonsense. However, they are still the best to design the payload and satellites thet go on top !
NASA should do science, not lifting :D
SpaceX + NASA
@@sridharsubramani7974 shut + up+ f*ck + up
but NASA owns SpaceX?
Works of thousands of people, that's what makes me cry
did elon really just say "holy smokes"?
I'm sure it took some self control to use the euphemism for the Discovery cameras. :)
and that's odd because?
Josh Kurien
i can probably count in 1 hand the amount of people i've seen that really say that.
my guess is he moderated himself in front of the camera.
BattousaiHBr Yeah if you read his biography his reaction probably would have been closer to "Holy fuck, it works"
Strangely enough, the rocket after that on blew up no landing.
2:47 When you think you killed a big spider and you ask elon musk to go see if it's dead.
Lmao me too
this actually made me laugh lol
LMAO
Aaron Germeier Watch my last video to know more about Elon Musk. He is THE GOD of 21st century.
lmaoo
This never gets old.
Pure treasure
Wait another 6 years and then tell me.
Watching the TV show "Mars" was incredible. I still love it. 😍2024
