Hi Paul & Wenda, we really enjoyed your latest video on the equipment and techniques you use for your weekly UA-cam videos. Your insights were incredibly valuable, and it's clear how much thought and effort you put into creating high-quality content. Great vid, Paul. Enjoy your channel and have picked up some great tips from you both as we’re about to commence travelling in our new big van (had camper and a teardrop previously). Look forward to the rest of the Murray journey - not much at Mystic Park btw.
Great video guys. We used our iPhone and a DJI gimbal initially when we went to America last year. We still use it for Instagram videos. For our cruise we went for the same GoPro package as you guys and we love it. Still got to get used to having the right settings. Eventually I think we’ll go with a drone once we start travelling Australia. Keep up all the great videos guys.
thks for putting this together Paul - super helpful and informative. We love the insights you and Wenda provide on various places and camping spots you visit!😊

Very informative Paul. The one thing that loses me real fast as a viewer (not pointing the finger at you) is the music. Too many youtubers ruin a good video due to the belief that their taste in music is also everybody else's. Blessings to you both.

Your drone, the Air 2 S, fully loaded, weighs 595 grams. Unless your drone weighs more than 2 kilograms, you don't need to be licenced.. unless you are flying it for your job... eg for your employer. Or you sell the actual footage for gain. When using your own footage on your own, monetised yt channel, you do NOT need to be licenced. You DO need to keep your drone in your visual line of sight at all times, so be careful when you're scouting ahead. Even though the licence doesn't cost anything, it does mean that you're on another list and can be tracked, as your drone is also registered. That's up to you, of course.
@@A.S.K.1 thank you for sharing that 👍 Not sure if it has changed but I thought over 250g you needed to register your drone but now it looks like you don’t? Cheers
@@beyondthegreyoz It actually may have changed from MY perspective. I am seeking some clarification from "Know Your Drone" (A government information site) You may need to register it, but the wording is kind of ambiguous as to when you need a licence to fly it. over 250gm but Sub 2Kg drones are classed as "Very Small - exempt" drones. On the one hand it says you only need a licence if you are using a drone as part of your "job" - or are intending to sell the footage. Using it for yourself, on your own channel, doesn't seem to fit any of the criteria. It MAY, if you are a full time UA-cam creator who uses it as a business (and you are registered as such), with the intent of making money from it... As I said I am seeking some clarification. So many darn rules and regulations for something that should be "fun". 🤯
@@beyondthegreyoz I take it back, with apologies. After it has been clarified to me by Know Your drone, it seems that if your channel is monetised, then you DO need to be registered and accredited. That would include all sizes of drone... even sub 250gm ones, as it is classed as a job. If your channel is NOT monetised you don't need to register OR be accredited, as it is still classed as recreational use. The size of drone denote the flying rules you need to follow... like being within certain distances of controlled airfields, etc. This is what Know Your Drone said to me... "Know Your Drone Hi, Steve. Thanks for your query. There's no requirement to register your drone or to become accredited if you only fly your drone for fun, sport, or education (as a school or higher education provider). This includes posting photos or video from the drone on social media for recreational purposes. If you fly a drone for commercial purposes (e.g. to earn money or as a tool for your job) the drone must be registered, and you must obtain accreditation before you fly. _* This includes the use of a drone to film content for a monetised social media channel.*_ " I don't see my last reply to you here so I guess it may have gone to the held folder.
