Being able to send 2 channels right into a Matrix REALLY helps with that whole croud mic thing. Otherwise, you have to take up a bus just to do that, so that is super cool. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for your 20X video series about the Wing. Although I own this console already since more than 6 months I discovered with your videos new features. Very englightning!
@DrewBrashler loving these videos, but I do have a question. In the previous video we setup up a Main LR and a Sub Mono main bus, then in this one did you do away with that for the band/vocal main buses?
Just got the wing two months ago and your videos have been very helpful. Now that I have a few services under my wing (yup, a double pun), I'm not sure why you should use a matrix. I understand what you are doing by sending channels to a main send and then to a matrix. I'm not sure why you are doing the double send. Why use the matrix and not just one of the main sends for the broadcast? Why not send to the main speakers directly from the main send?
Technically 16 if you use all 16 buses. However, you'll probably need a digital stage box as the wing only has 8 outputs on the back. You can use the aux outs too though.
from around 1.8 minutes of the video.your vocal and band buses sends to your PA matrix..do u use an outboard speaker management sytem to split the high from the low frequencies going to the subs???
Hey Drew I love your videos! Quick question though! Do all 4 of the main busses share the same panning? I’m sending my livestream mix from main bus 4 and it’s great but I can separately pan any inputs like I can with a regular bus. I would you a regular bus for live stream but we are using up all 16 of our buses for in ears, monitors, and effects.
I think we have a simular question. Using all the busses for effects and ears, but want to pan instruments in or live feed mix. I can't figure out how to do it with the main sends.
This is probably a big ask, but could you share a multitrack recording that is the correct format and layout for the SD card in the Wing? We have a Wing sitting beside our X32 and are getting close to transitioning and I would love to be able to do a virtual sound check...
I still don't get the difference. Why can't I just use a Main instead of Matrix? For my chirch I use Main1 for the venue , and Main2 for the streaming, and I can slightly adjust sound balance for these two mixes. Since we don't have two sound-guys for different mixes. Or, maybe I'm doing something wrong and it's better to use Matrix ?
If using the main works for you then that's fine. With using a matrix for your livestream, you can make your main bus apart of your livestream along with any other main busses or mixbusses you want to use for your livestream.

Good sound! I've got my WING since 12-2019 and it's a perfect tool!!! It is 200% better than my odl 32!!! Il love it!!!
Love the Wing Series. Can you please cover the virtual playback setting?

Hi Drew... Great job sir.... Please is there anyway that you could use midas m32 as FOH and mr18 as monitor mix

How Many IEM can I have out the back of the wing

So what exactly is mixing like this different than mixing with stereo busses as subgroups?
