Hey Jason, love the videos! When would you want to use a dropper on a spoon? As a primarily walleye fisherman I have used leech flutter spoons attached directly to a treble hook before.
On really tough bites, droppers can work for walleyes but find they work exceptionally well for trout as they like the flash but really key in on the small jigs.
Is it prettier than Lake Cascade? This was a great video but I hope you go to Lake Cascade while you’re out west to catch those jumbo perch! That was an incredible video last year. Just awesome perch!
You're fishing 🎣 European style with the flasher spoon with the dropper. If you want Northern Pike fishing in the high elevation, fish with Bernie Keefe or Nate Zelinski in Colorado. Both are Clam team members.
Love a good trip to Georgetown! I'm in Missoula here so the Seeley/Swan area is a little closer. I do want to say G.T. does contain stocked trout, some as recent as october. Wish you guys would have caught one of the monster Brooke trout hiding there. Next time you make it this way I could suggest a few good lakes for filming. Huge browns, 35# pike and some real dandy perch.
